• Downgrade IDS 4210 problem

  Hello

  I want to downgrade my IDS 4210 system due to performance issues experience after the last update to IPS-K9-sp - 5.1 - 4 service pack. Can someone inform me for the path relevant downgrade?

  Have you tried the 5.1 (5) service pack? There were a few difficulties engine during parsing of web traffic on non-standard ports which greatly increased performance. Also note that these latest updates of signature withdrew many signatures to increase the performance of the smaller sensors (such as the 4210) so try it as well. If this does not work, I open a TAC complaining of performance problems or flatten your sensor and recover with an ISO of 5.0.

• C90 w/4210/5320 MCU H.239 Frame Rate

  I admit the departure, it's "H.239 101" type question, but our environment is transitional on very old rooms of 4:3 which were never designed to manage content on separate screens so I'm just now my hands dirty with the intended user, experience sharing content.

  My question is around H.239 - cadence for C90 endpoints as well as MCU-4210/5320...on the surface, it seems that they are able to share plenty of movement, full-video cadence in the H.239 channel, right? must be able to handle 720 p, 30 frames per second?

  In tests, I connected a C90 to two MCU to the relatively high rate of calls (1.5 MB, 2,0 MB) and when I check stats, H.239 channel turns to the expected bitrate and resolution-but very low frequency of frames... between 4/7 frames per second

  I think I am missing some setting commonly or game setting between the endpoint and MCU.

  In addition to setting minimum outflow for the content on the MCU, what other effects H.239 - cadence? I tried to play with the settings of weight main/presentation in the C90, but does not appear to affect the results.

  Take a look at this discussion, cisco-mse-8510-content-frame-rate-and-resolution-limitations.  In short, the cadence of the content that is being received and sent by the MCU are dependent on how you have the quality that is configured for the endpoint PC Input, that is to say: (default) sharpness or movement.  There is no middle ground, or dynamic parameters, it's one of those two.

• ID 4210 - Typical setup

  Hello!

  I was sent an ID 4210 and I'm unable to determine the configuration of wich (newspaper, block or reset) should I apply to all signatures. Right now I have the record ID all the signatures that came with the identifiers.

  Question: I find any documentation about a typical configuration of the can´t. Can someone help me on this?

  Yes I agree with Dennis Travis. You should take a base line of what is happening on your network first and then decide if the sigs. This fire deserve an answer to. We took about 3 days to "Watch" what was going on before making a dynamic responses to the signature matches. Also, you want to decide where you want to occur in the block/tcp reset, either on your serial number or a managed router's ethernet interface. The most common approach is of the ENTRANTS on your serial number so it stops the traffic to come to your router to deal with.

  I want to pass that ID to IDS - GIS - 4.1 - 4 - S100.rpm.pkg, but readme indicates firstly that I have to upgrade to Version 4.1 (1) S47 of 3,0000 S61 sensors must be updated with the 4.1 (4) S91 Service Pack before you apply the 4,0000 S100 Signature Update.

  Review of information, in order to upgrade to version 4.1 (1) S47, documentation also says IDS-4210 and IDS-4220 sensors of the series should be upgraded to 512 MB of RAM using a Cisco upgrade kit (part # ID - 4210 - MEM - U or ID-4220-MEM-U) until they can be upgraded with IDS software version 4.1 or later. This update is free for visitors with SMARTnet.

  Please let me know if, depending on the version of my show, I already have the memory requirements.

  To upgrade 4 - 4.1 - S100 just to first upgrade to version minor update 1.0000 1.0000 S37, followed by service pack 4,0000 S91 S47. Do not apply 4.1 (2) and 4.1 (3) before applying the 4.1 (4), 4.1 (4) is a service pack is cumulative.

  Your show version, looks like you have not upgraded to to the 512 MB of ram required. Once that you upgrade to the 512 MB version show should show something like

  With the help of 452706304 of 509276160 memory available bytes (88% of use)

  You need only to indicate active IP address for all ports of the CM.  There is no way to add IP addresses for liabilities.  In the case of a failover of controllers, the new CM will inherit the IP addresses of the primary.

  EQL uses Active / standby with memory cache mirrored.

• SSHD problems on 4210 5,0000 S58

  Hello

  SSHD didn't work on our sensor today. I connected via another method and found that SSHD is not running. After investigation, she refused to start because/var/empty had permissions rwx for group and other. However, we had not changed the configuration of SSH. We had not stopped sshd, but the sensor can reset it or restarted, it at one point.

  Has anyone else seen elsewhere?

  Does anyone have any ideas why it happened? It pertained to the S58 update?

  I am very worried that nothing of what I've done on close these files.

  Joe,

  I was able to reproduce the problem by changing the umask from root to 0000. By default, the root on the sensor umask is 0022. My guess is that this has been changed on your sensor, either in them during the

  session in which the update has been installed, creating a .profile for root, or by modifying the/etc/profile file.

  Change permissions on/var/empty and/var/empty/sshd to 755 will fix the problem starting sshd. I will also file a bug against the installer because it really must be able to manage this scenario.

We would like to find a how-to article that shows how to set the ID and the PIX so that when the ID sees an attack there the PIX to block. The only articles I could find cover Director Unix or IDS sensor version 3.

• Y50 70 low FPS when on battery

  Hi guys,.

  I have a problem with my 70 Y50, i5 4210 H, GTX 860 M, UHD

  When I unplug the power adapter and use the battery I get a dramatic in the FPS drop when you play.

  Is this normal for this model and if not, how can I fix this or it is a hardware failure?

  Before you ask me, consider the following:

  Power management is set to High Performance with minimum CPU on 100% battery.

  The nVidia Driver is set to: prefer Maximum and boost performance at 60 fps in any case.

  When a battery I get 20 ~ 25 fps in GTA V and 20 ~ 35 FPS in Dota 2. With AC get respectively 48 FPS in GTA V, which is the maximum for UHD Samsung display and 50 ~ 60 FPS in Dota 2 (on the HD and nVidia FPS counter showing above 48 FPS).

  Is this normal for this model and if not, how can I fix this or it is a hardware failure?

  It's normal for most laptop computers (this is not a hardware failure). There is not enough power for the GPU for graphics rendering max.

  Games should always be plugged for maximum performance.

  I'm testing 6224 card digital I/o according to the dioex2.cpp under VxWorks. My goal is to put P1 P2 as input, output. Seems BAR1 registers may not be written, but the driver, the MITE is activated BAR1 according to bar0.write32 (0xC0, (physicalBar1 & 0xffffff00L) | 0x80).

  Hello Zimin,

  Sorry for the delay.  After the reformatting of your post, I realized that you describe almost the exact dioex2.cpp for example found here.

  He may have had a few typo or other errors in your post, but I found a few problems.

  1 DIO_Directino = 0x00ff... This registry is port0 configuration, in the dioex2.cpp example we use IO_Bidirection_Pin.

  2 PFI_Output_Select_3 = 0 x 410... I think that this must be set to 0 x 210 as in the dioex2.cpp example.

  I think with these changes, your example will work for you.  If it doesn't work, I would recommend going through the example of dioex2.cpp for more information.
