  "Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g launched July 1".
  
  Someone Product Management knows, how long after July 1 'Forms and reports 11 autonomous g' and 'Business Intelligence 11g' (discoverer and reports) will be available for download? I hope you will continue to provide similar to 10.1.2.0.2 installation types, so we do not have to return to the nightmare of 9i have to install and maintain Enterprise edition complete just to run forms and reports or the discoverer.
  
  I think that what used to be called 'Oracle Application Server Enterprise edition' (including the forms etc.) will now be "Oracle WebLogic Suite 11 g.   That is good news that we can now talk about release dates.

  Forms and reports 11g will be part of the first version of 11g.

  You can install any combination you like to 11g. The 9i way wasn't good. We do not want to go back there.

  I managed to download one of the facilities for Forms 11 g from here:

  However the readme it says it's a patch 11.1 . for version 2.1.0 11.1.2.0.0

  Now I'm a bit confused when I go on this page that show requirements:

  There is a download tab, but it is not.

  So, where is the download of 11.1.2.0.0?

  If you take a look at the XLS I gave you (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/oracle-forms-111210certmatrix-1886127.xls) it says:

  Oracle Forms and reports 11.1.2.1.0 is certified with WebLogic Server and 10.3.5 and 10.3.6.

  It is therefore your choice between 10.3.5 and 10.3.6.

  I have a challenge for you! Just to be clear, I am not a specialist of the Oracle (or call me a noob Oracle).
  
  Challenge: Open an Oracle 9i database in a new Oracle 11 g environment.
  
  Result: Be able to connect to an Oracle database running with "SSMA for Oracle" to convert it to a SQL database.
  
  Starting point:
  -Receipt of the customer: DBF, CTL and logs of an Oracle environment existing.
  -Since I can't download Oracle 9i environment, I chose to install 11g environment and hope for a good backward compatibility.
  
  How I got:
  -Installed 11g environment
  -Set up a database pointing to the files DBF
  ~ Change init.ora to use CTL files
  ~ Create init.ora spfile
  ~ Start database mount and rename the database and data files using sqlplus (liaison with "sys as sysdba")
  
  Questions:
  Now I can start the database, but sometimes with a * "ORA-00704: bootstrap process failure" * and recommend I start it with the UPGRADE option. "» Start with UPGRADE option works and I can navigate through the database using Toad tool (login 'as sysdba'). But 'SSMA for Oracle' is not an option to connect 'as sysdba' and gives me a "ORA-39710: only connect AS SYSDBA is allowed when it is OPENED in UPGRADE mode.
  
  Since the MASA for customer Oracle cannot connect to a database started with the UPGRADE option I probably have to fix the "ORA-00704: bootstrap process failure»
  I tried to avoid the upgrade option in trying to upgrade the database to 11g. But utlu112i.sql and catalog.sql give me errors like "ORA-04023: object SYS." STANDARD cannot be validated. "
  
  Issues related to the:
  -Do you think I want to achieve is possible at all?
  -Can I easily run an Oracle 9i database in a 11g environment or what I really need to upgrade?
  -Do you think it is the best way to get an Oracle existing database running in a new environment?
  -If Yes: how to solve the error ORA-00704?
  
  If you need more information, alert logs, files .ora or anything to give an appropriate response, please ask and I'll give them.

  9i binaries are no more on the website of oracle since this version is located in the long ago.

  What I would do (since you have your files backed up somewhere, at least I hope) is simply:
  Set oracle_sid = xxx
  sqlplus/nolog
  Connect / as sysdba
  start upgrade
  @?\rdbms\admin\catupgrd.sql (to upgrade the database)
  @?\rdbms\admin\utlrp.sql (to compile the modules)

  Wait a while (2-3 hours)

  immediate stop
  startup

  Check no errors in alert_log and you have access to your data.

  Then 2 possibilities:

  It worked - so everything goes well for you.
  It does not, replace your original files and try something else.

  I think this will work if, as we have already said, you're 9.2.0.4 or more.

  Do not lose time on futile questions such as 'what is really the version of my files. You care, upgrade script works for all of the above versions 9.2.0.4.

  Don't forget that:
  Passwords are now (11g) case sensitive (but you can change them when logged in sysdba)
  Some pl/sql will not compile, but I think that you are mainly interested in the data.

  I see this on one of my client sites.

  They have just upgraded to 11.1.2.2.0 suite of developer on Windows 7.  The works of developer of fine forms, reports developer opens the report ok, but when you try to use the data model view, the program crashes and closes.

  I checked the usual suspects such as the REPORTS_TMP registry variable.

  This happens when trying to create a whole new report also, therefore seems to be an installation problem.

  Saw someone else this please?

  I have the Report Builder on a 2008 Server R2(64-bit) with 11 g R2 (11.1.2 - 64bits) configured with weblogic, reports and forms for a developer machine. Whenever I try to open the data in a report, Report Builder model no longer works and I get error APPCRASH indicating Module as VGS.dll error all the time. If someone had a similar problem before, please help me.

  This error means that the file Banco.prt is not found.

  The definition of the printer (file .prt) file not found in the REPORTS_PATH directories.

  By default, these files are located in $ORACLE_HOME/reports/printers and this directory is located at REPORTS_PATH

  -> Check the value of REPORTS_PATH
  -> Check if BANCO.prt exists in a directory of REPORTS_PATH

• Establishment of multimaster environment on 11g and replication

  I think I'm getting my guide install completely fake. We implement 4 multimaitres servers. Allows to call the A B C D. Also, each have say 4 created suffixes. Say S1 S2 S3 S4. Here are my questions.
  
  The steps that I take are
  
  (1) installation A and B
  (2) created the suffix S1 S2 S3 S4 (empty on both servers)
  (3) allowing the Master Replica (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19424-01/820-4809/bcaqf/index.html)
  
  Now run us the server command has to B
  the host $ dsconf enable-repl - port d ReplicaID Pei h master DN suffix
  
  If the command is on a server? Also is the correct syntax?

  Then on server B

  "create-repl-agmt dsconf" creates only a unidirectional replication agreement. In ODSEE there is no such thing as a two-way replication agreement. You must define how changes should circulate and create a new agreement for each link. So in your case, if you would like the changes made on B to A, then create another series of agreements from B to A.

  (5) to import data into the suffix (S1 S2 S3 S4) ONLY on the server a (Correct?) This will launch the replication on the server B.

  N ° import does not disable replication, only the updates. If the suffix S1 on B is empty, then you init it before it can receive updates a. Your choices are

  1 Init has. Then online at init from A to B (dsconf init-repl-dest)
  2 Init A. A export (dsconf Pei 389 S1 to export), copy the LDIF to B and init (dsadm import)

  It might be easier to see option 2. So:
  -Initialize all suffixes on A
  -Export all suffixes of four. This will ensure that all instances will get the same copy of entries (including all replication metadata)
  -Copy the files LDIF for B, C and D
  -' Import dsadm' run in parallel.
  -create the repl agmt as you want (a one-way ticket)
  -make a change on one and watch it appear on the other three.
