  A number of years, I've learned a very easy way to remove objects such as logos from backgrounds using masks and then saving them as .eps files that might be included in the InDesign documents without funds. You would simply use the magic wand to make a selection, inverse, create a path and the rest I do not remember.

  Simply, I can't find the notes I had on how to do it and can't remember the steps. It would literally take 2-3 minutes at the most to do.

  Does anyone know of this method, or something similar and very simple. At best, I am a Photoshop basic user.

  At took the words out of my mouth.  PSD is the preferred format for most applications these days.  You can choose to import as a single merged object or keep the layers.  EPS works well with Photoshop.

  In response to Sid, if you use a clipping path to draw a logo, then you might as well make the logo as a vector of the form of the original using as a model.  I regularly take this approach fuelled the logos of low resolution for things like sponsors etc.  Because you do not use the raster version, you can n to facilitate tracking it.  All the perpendicular lines of the limits of the image (don't know why I don't have not just "square") can be stored neatly by use of Guides, but you can also force the path points to have a square to the previous point by holding down the SHIFT key.  The resulting vector shapes can be saved as custom shapes, but I use libraries as you can organize them better.

  I have not used the option of orphans on Dreamweaver before. I used to create my pages, download them and then remove it from my local system (the site on which I work is too much to have on my local machine). The problem I've encountered is that there are a lot of orphaned files on this web server. Is it possible to have dreamweaver to go looking for them, or the whole site should be local? It is a bit of a long shot, but I thought that I would like to ask because I'm rather at my wits end.

  DW has a built-in feature that will check links in the local site folder and it will identify all the unused files in the results panel. This feature is integrated into the 'Check links' utility of Dreamweaver in the Site menu.  After that the software checks links, it gives you a report of all the unused files, you can either remove or add a link to.

  SiteCleaner is a Mac software created by the Studios of rabbit's foot that will have all the files and the code for your web project and "clean" html files or media all orphans. Deleted files are placed in a folder "deleted content".

• How can I use Premiere Clip on a plane without an internet connection?

  I wanted to use the Clip to enjoy some downtime while traveling. Loaded up my iPad with a few interview camera clips I need to select and arrange for a Premiere Pro project that I'm trying. everything was fine when I was in the office, I was ready to go. When I opened the application on the plan he wanted me to sign (yet) but I was not connected to the Internet. Could not go beyond this screen. I could have done it if I had planned to use iMovie, it doesn't have an Internet connection. All that preparation for nothing.

  Is there a way secret around that I don't know?

  As long as you disconnect manually the Clip, you devriez can continue to use the Clip for a period without Internet connectivity. I'm not positive how much time that the period is, but I think that it's 24 hours.

  Earlier versions of the Clip had bugs that led to leaving the game. We have set such a bug in Version 1.2 and 2.0 (that came out today).

  Edited to add: to answer your specific question, if you get disconnected without Wi - Fi, there is no way to return without logging in, which requires a network connection.

• Question about problem with the file using a clipping mask

  I use Photoshop CS6.  I bought a digital frame with a mask of clipping on Etsy.   When I go to insert the image in the image using the clipping mask image continues to show through the edges of the image (as pictured).  I tried blocking layer, but it does not work.  Any suggestions?

  Try this, 2 layer moving below 3 attach them.

  Hang out with the selection tool ellipse a circle that encompasses the area which should show the image

  Create a mask for the form (make sure the shape layer is selected {now layer 2 to 3} click the icon at the bottom of the layers panel that looks like a circle inside a square)

  You should now see your image.

  If you get stuck, you can capture your screen to show your progress.

  Tips for the selection tool:

  You can hold the SHIFT key to constrain to a circle

  You can hold the ALT key to draw a selection of its center circle,

  You can hold both modifier key for a perfect circle drawn in the Center.

  Finally you can hold down the SPACEBAR to move the selection before you release the mouse button.

• Is there a Maximum effect number, we can use a clip?

  I created a second 40 clip with 6 layers of video and audio (as part of a larger project). The five layers are the seeds which are themselves have many effects of movement and video. Building the clip, at some point the last effect of movement has stopped working. My solution was to export each of the seeds 3 x 4 with all the effects (with the exception of the effects of movement) as files MPEG2 Blu - ray (m2v) and using these clips I built the final clip (where I applied the effects of movement: spinning in the seeds, etc...). This approach has worked.

  Issues related to the:

  1. Is it 'maximum complexity' effects in CS5 PrPro, or I have still some files corrupt O.S. or corrupted registry?
  2. Work this way (until after I did a clean install of the operating system), would I degrade the quality of the Blu - ray project?
  3. I also fear how 'well' I come back: it is possible that the other sequences that I use in this project are also corrupt? (They play well on the PrPro and again and can be transcoded.)

  I had some problems lately, and finally I have to start all over again from the beginning.

  I would be recognizing any remark, help.

  While the clips 'uncompressed' are the ultimate quality, if you are a beginner with uncompressed clips camcorder, those who are already highly compressed so not much more to go, because this will create massive files and hard disks will be not fast enough for smooth playback, and especially when the superposition of several clips.

  Better to choose an intermediate format which is a quality "Lossless" which will look great, but provide easier to manage files.

  Some options are: Avid DnxHD codec, codec UT, Lagarith codec. All of you who are free downloads.

  I use material o Matrox for many years, currently MXO2 Mini, and they have their own codec which is MPEG-2 I-Frame codec with 4:2:2 color at 100 Mbps. So it looks good and reads well. Also supports alpha channels if you need make overlays with a transparent background.   Codec Matrox MPEG-2 I-Frame HD would be my choice for ease of use and modification of read performance.

  About your PC hardware, I see that you have the graphics card GTX 480. I have the 470, which is officially supported by Adobe for the mercury GPU acceleration, so the 480 is not in the list - http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/tech-specs.edu.html

  Are you aware of the simple 'hack' that should allow the creation of use your GPU to improve editing performance? There is a LOT of information on this link - http://www.studio1productions.com/Articles/PremiereCS5.htm

  Basically, in the Adobe/Premiere Pro folder it is a text file called "cuda_supported_cards.txt" and if you just add your card to the list and save, or even rename/remove the completely .txt file, then your GTX 480 had to get used. First, go to project > Project Settings > general and look if it says "Software only" or "GPU acceleration.

  Of course. Actually, there are a number of ways to do this in Timeline mode.

  The simplest is to right click each clip on your timeline and choose Unlink Audio and video. You can then move, edit or even delete the part of this clip audio and video separately.

  Hey, new to the forum here, and I have a problem...

  I'm scanning my notes for a course in Earth science, and I use Illustrator CS5.

  I'm trying to do a simple text effect that leaves me perplexed.

  The text says "Earthquakes" (indeed, 24pt.)

  I like the texture of the text with a picture of sandstone.  I can do this.

  I would like in conjunction with the text in two with the knife tool.  I can do that, too.

  I can't for the life of me, what to cut the text in two after applying the clipping mask.

  No can I apply the texture (via a clipping mask) after having cut the text in two.

  I tried all kinds of different combinations, including doing some work in Photoshop, and still nothing works.

  I tried to create a plan (apparently essential to use the knife on the text tool), cut the text in two and then make the clipping mask, but that only gives me letters, invisible, which I can't seem to fill with the appropriate image.

  Anyone out there have any ideas?

  In the case where it is not clear, I want my text to be filled by a picture, then I would cut half in text (I prefer to use the knife tool, as it looks better with a curved cut)

  It's as simple as that, but I could not fall on a solution on my own.

  On a side note, I also spent on some tutorials for 'cutting text' is to draw a line through it, and then using fracture in the Pathfinder palette, but this guard send me errors.  Thoughts?

  First of all, there is no need to use a clipping for texture mask. Drag the photo in the "Swatches" Panel and then use the texture sample resulting to fill the text! Then, drag the text object texture in the symbols Panel. Now you can drag the 2 instances of the new symbol on the artboard and hide to create the look you are after. Using this method, your text remains editable and can be changed by editing the symbol.

  We plan to update the indicators from 1 to 0, which would make it the contours of UNUSED State and if the SQL whose contours are created being issued, contours must be used and the flags would be updated to 1.

  I am the Secretary of our local pony club and that we're not for profit organization and no funds were little I was wondering if we can use the clipart for our logo images. They would appear on t-shirts, hats, brochures and the fixed overhead... I read the above but instead of going and reading of the huge document on the copyright laws, I thought that I would ask here first.

  Hi Khaled,

  You should be creative and see what gives you the best results I recommend that if you create videos for Instagram where you want to combine several clips, to keep the videos you shoot relatively short (3-7 seconds) so that you can edit them all and always come with a final video less than 15 seconds. It is more difficult to reduce a minute one or two 15 seconds video, especially if you want to incorporate several shots. If you use a combination of photos and videos, try to use a lot of photos with automatic project to get a change of dynamic video.

• Bug in transition: use a clips before the applied FX?

  The question:

  If I apply a scale effect on a video segment (basically a zoom - box key), then I add any transition base as a "chained" to get a couple of frames in the center of the transition which do not have the effect of scale?  It's as if the transition is to use the original film clip (a Clip) before my scale effect... it is CERTAINLY not desirable in any situation.

  I hope that I am doing something wrong, but the Transitions are pretty basic, and I can't imagine a situation where we want a transition to be applied BEFORE approval (a Clip) had is other effects applied.

  Any suggestions?
