  You can only call layout() setPosition or sublayout().

  Try this...

  Subclass sublayout() and put your good standing in position one.  Once you update your x / call updateLayout().

  There is virtually no diagnosis of those - they are the equivalent of random errors in Windows for which trace the root cause is futile. Basically, here's the last out in the programming code - some event occurred for which there is no event handler in the code. The patch is an update of the code that handles the event... but, again, what is the event is almost impossible. So, there are a few things to try:

  Sometimes, the code simply is damaged and needs to be updated - just like a reboot:

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  If it doesn't boot properly, then you need to try Safe Mode:

  The toughest possible causes are a bad application behave. To find it, there are two options. Is to see if you can read the log file:

  Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type "lglg". (You won't see anything as you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably a lot of pages) until you see a line that says "eception execption. Click on this line. The application name will be in the info. Alternative methods to implement the newspapers are in this KB:

  The other method is to remove the apps one at a time, wait a while between the two (I usually recommend a week), until the problem stops... revealing the offending application. Yet another method is to recharge the BB OS itself, leaving little time between the addition of other applications on the BB in order to be able to determine exactly what is the cause.

  Hello.  I have a storm 9530 and that you have installed several apps on the short time since then when I got it (~ 1 month ago).  When I restart or reset the phone, I get some error messages

  "Eception exception java.lang.illegalstateexception."

  The other is

  "illegal java script error '.

  What it means?
  What application is this?
  How to track it down to fix it?

  If it is not possible to say which application is the cause, how do I erase everything and start from scratch, so I can add 1 app at a time and see what app triggers errors?  I posted this question crackberry.com and blackberryforums.com but have not had someone answer which leads me to believe that they cannot be understood.

  Hi, I got an error on my phone uncaught.exception.java.lang.illegalstateException error when I reset my phone by removing the battery.  Please notify.

  If you have added via the Desktop Manager software, it can be used to remove them. Alternatively, you can remove the storm itself:

  In the home screen, select the Options icon, then Advanced Options > Applications

  This will bring up a list of applications installed on the device. You can scroll through and after it highlighted (not clicking), you can press the BB (the button to the right of the green phone button) and one of the options that opens will be remove.

  Be very careful... Remove only the modules...

  If this process does not work, the next thing is the full wipe...

  Options > Security Options > General settings

  By pressing the BB button then give a "Wipe Handheld" option... that will do just that. All data on the device will be lost. All modules will be deleted. The device will be updated with fresh plant in the OS level on which you are.

  If this fails, a reload of the OS would be in order... we will table this one for now and show optimism that one of them will work for you.

  Probably the installation takes a long time because of the connection distance. At the time of the installation where it ask you to deploy the webapps and restart the application server, you could increase the session timeout before restarting the application server. You can find it in futuretense.ini in the Sites WebCenter installation directory, property cs.timeout. You can assign very high (hours) for the duration of the installation, and then lower it again later if you wish.

  Installation can be very slow over remote connections, e.g. X 11 dug on ssh. You might get a slight speed increase using the arcfour in ssh encryption. To much better improvement you can use vnc on the server instead of X 11 over ssh.

  You can add an af:fileDownloadActionListener to your button (docs.oracle.com/cd/E15051_01/apirefs.1111/e12419/tagdoc/af_fileDownloadActionListener.html). • java.lang.IllegalStateException

  Hello
  
  I have a custom page that is called from the page of quoting standard of Oracle. The two pages are hGrid. Whenever the hGrid on the standard page is developed and we click a button to call the page custom, java throws this error IllegalStateException. After that, even if I have the collapse of the hGrid, and call the custom, page I get this error. There is a part in the custom code that opened the hGrid in extended mode. I commented, but still the same error.

  Problem solved now I am able to run and error disappeared with changes below.

  Go to JDeveloper-> Navigator-> ViewControler project properties > JAVA EE Application > integrated command-line WLS.

  Precedent has been

  ${oc4j.environ.type} ${memory.archive.flag} {keep.alive.timeout.flag}

  ${oracle.jms.lock.flag}

  ${oc4j.main.class} - config ${server.xml}

  Replace it with

  Reason: Instance OC4J from 10g Application after migration is still there, but in 11g application using weblogic instead of oc4j.
