IK and actionscript

In Flash CS5.5 you can use Actionscript to OS "pin up" with an (x, y) and (x, y) command?

If this isn't the case, I think it would be a great feature for a CS5.5 version!

the documentation from adobe on the subject (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/fl/ik/package-detail.ht ml) suggest that the os can not be created with ACE but existing ones (IE created at design time) is controllable with ACE.

  • Color change of the motion tween and actionscript

    Hello, I'm pretty new to flash and actionscript, having recently been introduced to Flash MX. Everything flowed smoothly so far. Here's the scenario:

    I create a new document and create a symbol of video Clip, then add a motion tween. So far so good. Can I edit the symbol and on the first frame of the clip add action "_alpha = 50";. All of a sudden the motion tween stops working.

    This problem me totally baffled, that actions like stop(), gotoAndPlay() to the same place and do not affect the interpolation, while other actions of color (for example Color.setTransform) show the same behavior. All reviews are much appreciated!

    Thanks a lot for your time kglad, but I managed to find a workaround for the problem in simply by converting the symbol to a symbol again. It seems that only interpolations in the immediate parent are affected, so the new symbol can be interpolated normally, while the original symbol is still affected by the actionscript code.

    I'm doing the light text selection behavior on my Xoom Android in different circumstances:

    1. in a pure ActionScript mobile app, selection and copy / paste is controlled by a control floating appearing on the screen without resize or move or nothing

    2. in a mobile Flex application, selection, and copy / paste is controlled by a bar of the user interface that appears at the top of the screen, pushing the entire down application, loses focus on my textfield, ballsing upward every bit of control I have further confused the hell out of my user whose finger is therefore more pointed at the piece of text , they wanted to select but rather something that is about a half inch above this point...

    Then...

    Of course, I want to get to 1. for Flex - for example: I want to allow the selection and copy / paste without loss of activity, without repositioning and confuse the hell out of my user.

    Does anyone have a clues how I can achieve this?

    I have it. Two selection behaviors depend on the underlying skin.

    It works with Flex:

    skinClass

    : ClassReference ("spark.skins.mobile.TextInputSkin"

    Where it shifts the application down, set a bar above and usually live with any interactivity that you would want to do with your selected text...

  • Problem with Javascript and ActionScript setting / getting variable timing

    The course

    I created a training course, which will run standalone on our intranet for internal staff. Despite the (known) limitations, I use Javascript to validate the form and open a window of e-mail, for the staff member to click Send confirm that they have completed the course. Without a web server or LMS to use, what seems easiest to obtain confirmation of completion of the course. The form itself works very well and we have tested it with some members of staff.

    I created a slide in Captivate that contains the form of confirmation with a "submit" button. I added a next button, which appears disabled until the user submits the form successfully.

    The problem

    When the user clicks on send, I call a conditional Action as follows:

    • If 1 = 1 (i.e. always do this)
      • Javascript call for:
        • Validate the form
        • If it is valid
          • Open e-mail window
          • Set m_VarHandle.Confirmation_Email = 1
    • If Confirmation_Email = 1
      • Select the next button

    Unfortunately, by filling out the form correctly and clicking on send, the next button is not enabled (the fine again active button). On further testing, it seems that the Javascript has finished running before ActionScript moves on the next decision. So when he checks the value of Confirmation_Email it has not yet been fixed and the next button is not enabled.

    Any ideas how I can fix this problem?

    I bypassed this problem as follows.

    • Added a Clickbox that appears for 0.5 seconds with a break
    • Created a disabled button is visible in the output, which is displayed for 0.8 second
    • Updated the timeline, so that the next button (active) appears after 0.8 seconds for the rest of the slide
    • Added a second Clickbox located to 1.0 second with a break at the end of the slide (2.0 seconds)
    • Updated Javascript code to set cpCmndResume to 1 when the form is validated successfully

    This results in the desired behavior:

    • The slide plays up to 0.5 seconds and stops due to the first Clickbox
    • The user can fill out the form at their leisure and submit.
      • If the validation fails, the user must correct the form and click on submit
      • If the validation is successful, the reading recovery
    • When playback is resumed, he passes the 0.8-second mark. The following disabled button disappears and the next active button appears. Playback continues until the second 2.0 mark then paused because of the second Clickbox
    • The user can click on Next at their leisure

    Basically, I created 5 buttons on one layer. I'm now trying to associate each button to a Web site, but without success for the moment.

    In order to make it easier for me that I need to set each button in its own layer and insert the following actionscript code, I inserted one of my buttons, I realized that maybe:

  • Questions of beginners on fms and actionscript 3

    OK, as I said I'm a newbie, but I do not understand the difference between as3 and ssas. Not all, but most everything written everything I see in SSAS can be written in an external AS3 file. Which results in a me a few questions I hope you kind people can enlighten us on for me.

    (1) what is the advantage of writing a SSA file on an external AS3 file?

    (2) can I write a file in AS3 .asc or should I use AS1? Please understand that I use tuts of fmsguru.com and the "Programming Flash Communication Server" books "Learning Flash Media Server" (pdf). I'm not a javascript programmer, so I have nothing in AS1 seems to make any sense, unlike anything I've done in AS3. It may not seem like it to you people who are programmers, but for those of us who are not, AS1 and AS3 are miles away.

    (3) type of off topic, but a security issue. I'm not a 'hacker' and don't like the jolts which are. My question is on external ACE / SSAS files and swf files. When my fla is compiled into a swf file is my external AS files are external? I suppose they do, but then, what is the threat of the file swf be decompiled? In most of the projects I would, I could less keep if someone has access to my fla as long as they do not have my actionscript files.

    I do not know. Maybe for questions 1 and 2 I'm confused because I use equipment. Yet once, I guess while fms was built the javascript engine, it should be able to read and run my AS3 file. Otherwise what was the point of evolution of actionscript in a functional programming language?

    (1) I did not get this question correcly - besides THAT SSAS can be in AS1 - so I don't see reason in comparison

    (2) there must be AS1

    (3) if you do 'include' stuff - I think that code would go into swf decompiler and compiled appropriate would give you the code.

    Last para - engine on the server side includes only AS1, so he won't be able to read and understand your AS3 file.

    ActionScript file is basically something that you can include in your mxml file is similar as you write the code in the tag. Where class actionscript will behave as an object for which you can create the new instance.

    I'm currently implementing JSON in Flash Actionscript. I found the script that allows to http://json.org/ (found here: script (.as)) in the form of an Actionscipt class.

    I tried to include this class with:

    #include 'JSON.as.

    but he returns this error on the race:

    I thought that this is an external class and I'm simply using #include to use it.

    given that the Classes must be defined in external .as files.

    If you want...
    import JSON;
    If JSON.as is in the same directory as your fla.

    If your JSON.as is in a directory called as it is in the same directory as
    your fla, then you will have to change two things...
    1 replace
    import as. JSON;
    2. change line JSON.as 34 to
    class as. JSON}

    You were on the right track with columns.push (). However, you must assign the entire property of columns to do this (you can not just add to the existing property). for example:

    var columns: Array = new Array();
    Columns.push ();
    Columns.push ();
    ...
    Grid.Columns = columns; This will get the grid to use the new columns

    I am a fresher for this. Trying to make a calculator application in flex but not sure about what logic to use. Also I am using a textarea field to display what user enters, however if user enters 1 and then enters 2 the number 1 is replaced by number 2. What should I do
