• Unexpected results after calculation

  Hello.

  I have 3 databases of production which have worked successfully until Thursday.

  FARM sales for the whole company per month.

  EB2. Sale of a specific division a week.

  EB3. Sale of a specific division and top ranges, per day.

  Thursday.

  The problem is that after calculation of EB3, the totals I see in the validation reports are incorrect when compared with the totals in the EB1.

  The whole story is the display of incorrect results, not only the data for the current month, which is that I charge per day.  I'm doing an incremental loading of the current and previous month only.

  I took a backup and loaded in the EB3 and performed the calculation... once again the totals were incorrect.

  Friday

  When I compare the validation reports, totals in EB3 were as expected when checking against the EB1.

  I did nothing for the outline, the backup is the same.

  EB1 and EB2 were ok.

  Saturday (today)

  When I see the validation report today I noticed that EB3 has the same behavior; incorrect results.

  And EB2 also contains unexpected values after calculation.

  Have you encountered this problem before?  Is there something specific I should review to determine and solve this problem?

  Log files reflect not any message "error" or "fail".

  Any comment is welcome.

  Difficult to clarify the question without knowing what actually do the calculations. Just a suggesiton wild as you see error every day replacing when you see good results just make a backup of contour and then use the problematic day contour compare to compare 2 contours. May be there are some jobs that you are not aware of the evolution of the sketch, thus destabilizing the whole of the data!

  I am trampled on this one... Sorry...

  So, I'm working on a calculator, hitting a button, will display results based on the user data. I can get all the math to work OK, and he retraces perfectly.

  Now, the question becomes it to display on the fla itself.

  (The strange thing is, I had to keep all the data in the function. If I took it out, I would get all kinds of errors NaN and others. "But keep it within the service does the job very well.)

  What I'm missing here? I tried to do a total.set_Text = refundAmt; - but no luck. (The name of the instance to the box in the FLA file is 'total')

• Result in calculation display with percentage sign

  I'm using FormCalc to sum a column of

  values of drop-down lists, and then multiply the number of points divided by 100 times. The calculation works fine, but I'd like a percent sign (%) to appear in the field where calculation is after the calculated number. The number appeared, I just can't figure out how to get the percentage symbol to display.

  You can set it in the object > field tab, by selecting models.

  In the view tab, select the percentage.

  If you want to define the number of digits after the decimal point, then, you can use a general model of number and then add '%' in the braces.

  I'm a complete newbie to Livecycle Designer and I have no idea on JavaScript or FormCalc... Good start, eh? !

  What I would do:

  I am currently working on a form where I add two values simple Cell1 and Cell2 to my form. (I thought even if I could handle it... it turns out I can't!)

  My problem:

  I had a glance through the pages of the forum as well as YouTube videos on how to do this. Unfortunately, the result field never actually displays a result of calculation...

  That's what I entered the script editor (by selecting 'Calculate' and FormCalc) based on youtube videos.

  I double checked that all fields are set to Numeric, checked value parameters, as well as the parameters of the cell, but I don't know where I'm wrong and why the result field displays no value at all.

  I tried to add the script in the result cell, in the subform, the cell is currently sitting, tried to add at the end of each cell name .rawValue... Nothing works.

  I tried to create a completely new document, thinking maybe something in my form is bad, but always in the new blank form with only three cells inside, there is no event calculation.

  I'm maybe just lack a bit in the script or incorrectly the cell?

• Intelligent calculation

  I read an article yesterday where default essbase was intelligent calculation turned to know which blocks are dirty and only calculate values on the blocks. Is this correct?

  Imagine that I have a dataform of planning with on lines cost centers and I change 1 of them. What I usually do is in the rules, fix that all cost centers in the form because I don't know which one was changes so I need to apply a given logical rule for them, but from what I've read, it seemed to me that actualy essbase knows what has been changed. If I don't fix the cost centers it will actually only calculate where it was changed?

  I don't think it's as simple as that. Although the intelligent calculation is defined on IT by default, it does not mean that you are by default taking advantage of it. As you say in your message, Essbase brand as own blocks and dirty and not recalculates the blocks and its dependent parents who remain as clean. However, set up a clean block requires that you perform one of the following:

  1 compute the set of the database with ALL CALC

  2. determine the whole of the database with CALC DIM (all dimensions at once)

  3. explicitly force blocks to be marked as clean in your calc with SET CLEARUPDATESTATUS AFTER script;
  I do not think that anyone in this forum would go ALL CALC or CALC DIM with all dimensions both in their planning applications because both are extremely expensive calculations. And if you do not use the command in option 3 too, so you don't actually own blocks in your database, as a result, intelligent calculation is also useful when it is set to OFF. Of course, you can control the behavior with the command above in your calculations, but it requires you to be very careful when you turn it on and off. In addition, there are areas of caution in Essbase calculation smart usage, which can lead to an error in calculation of data. So, it is not really as simple as it may seem it is to use this feature properly.

  My personal opinion is that there are better ways to optimize the performance of your calculations in which you are in control. This is why, in fact turn it off in config Essbase and I recommend the same thing.

• HPCM error - definition model has changed since the last calculation

  I have a bit of a problem on an application Coordinator.
  
  (1) message warning when I go to balancing-> "model has changed since the last calculation."
  (2) message when I select cube considered in balancing-> 'the database has not been updated with the latest results of calculation."
  
  What has been done before I got to this point:
  
  (1) add a few lev 0 members in the current hierarchy for cost center
  (2) run a comparison to check if they are picked up (OK!)
  3) deploy EPMA (result: SUCCESSFUL message)
  4) go to HPCM and deploy the two cubes (OK-> at least is what the status of the job)
  (5) control of new members in OTL (OK! they are there)
  (6) the HPCM Calc launch, check the box to erase all data of calc prev, check the box to regenerate calcs, check the box to transfer data to the reporting cube.
  result: employment status: OK!
  
  But in reality: never got transferred through to the reporting cube.
  
  I repeated steps 1 through 6, a few times, I even changed something in the (alias) shared library to check if it went through.
  In EPMA it says that the app is 'in sync with the deployment. And when I run a comparison with deployed application, it does not pick up anything.

  Just realised I never came back with the answer to my question. I was developing the new application and starts the compilation of the Calc sequentially, so while I was developing Calc for step 2 or 3, rebuild only those scripts are calculate only the specific areas. This is the reason why I received this message. As soon as I transferred both apps and recalculated at the beginning, the error message disappeared.

• Reset of the limit of section result in Hyperion IR 9.3.1

  Hi all
  
  I'm having an item limit calculated on article, result which is reset with code to do this limit Ignore = "True" or "False". Report is saved in no data for the result item. Now everytime I open the report I'm getting an internal error for not able to reset the the item limit calculated as no data is there on the result section.
  When I save the report with the data section it works fine.
  Can someone offer you please how to manage the the item limit calculated on result article where no data are available on the result section?

  Hi, I have a script that works with the .txt file and takes a number, do a little with her in the loop and should create a new file where to save the results of calculation. Now my script can open a file, see a words it contains, add a certain number of words. But I didn't know how I can send results to loop to another file or as a result. For example, loop works with the file, which have four numbers as text. Loop takes a number, second, third, but as result remember fourth result only.

  Open a txt file, it cannot because the file is already open and loop takes a number to it, if I try to create a second file, applescript takes error.

  It is not quite clear to me what it is you are trying to do - and your script is very specific to your needs, so it is not obvious.

  Can you explain more what you're trying to do - specifically what data you have ('4 integers"?) and what you try to do with them (write them to a file)?

  Can you give an example of what might be your input values (for example a list: {123 456 789, 4.321} and you want the output file to look like?)

• Convert 8 bit RGB Bayer Image in Monochrome

  I'm looking for a way to perform an edge detect algorithm on the camera sensor image which was released in 8 bit RGB of Bayer (cannot specify the monochrome output sensor).  The image is read on the gray u8 IMAQ camera, but then the edge detect does not work because of the rasterization of bayer.  After the conversion of bayer in a u32, vi of detection errors color image edge by saying the image type is not supported (logic).  I wonder if there is a function that would allow me to take the image RGB U32 and then convert it back into an image in grayscale which has no pixel with the raw data read problems and will work with the edge detection algorithm.

  If there is a function to convert an image IMAQ from color to grayscale so I could make the edge detect would be great (I didn't see one).  I think it would be a common place because many functions run only with images in grayscale.  If a function does not exist, what is the best way to go on the conversion of the image using LabVIEW.  I'm not an image of expertise so I'm not sure of the best way to go about it.

  Use IMAQ Convolution with a 3 x 3 table.  The elements of the array are numbers that I entered previously.  The convolution function only like arrays of odd sizes so that the image does not move during the convolution.  You can ignore the idea of 2 x 2 - I think it is cleaner.

  So, to summarize:

  1 acquire U8 Bayer image as grayscale image.

  2. apply the filter convolution 3 x 3 to remove artifacts from Bayer.

  3. use the Sobel filter to find the edges.

  4. use IMAQ quantify for the average or STD dev of intensity.  It is a very good measure of the development.

  Now to confuse you even more: you can speed up the extent of the development if necessary by reducing the resolution of the image.  You must insert a step after 2 (or instead of 2) allowing to extract from every other column and row of the image.  The focus indicator always follows the development very well, and treatment is a bit faster.  I used this trick a few years back, but it is perhaps not necessary on modern computers.
