Import dialog box is not coming
Just as the title says. When I import anything cc library it just auto imports and I don't you the dialog box import.
Sorry, my bad... I read Audio instead of Auto. I think it depends on what you import. If you import a jpeg or png file there are no dialog boxes. It appears only if you are importing psd files.

Import dialog box does not open
I just upgraded to 5 Lightroom in Lightroom 3, and the import dialog box will not open. I can select file-> Import Photos and videos... and the menu option flashes as he was selected, but nothing else happens. Any ideas? I'm on OS X Mavericks.
I figured this out. Based on the below stack trace it seems that Lightroom has tried and failed to create the directory ~ / Movies, and that failure has stopped in the logon dialog box. In my case, ~/Movies is a symbolic link to a directory that lives on an external drive, which was set up in time. I can work around the problem is the disc with my films of editing on it or removing the symbolic link. It is not ideal (I can't quite fit on a disc, and I have other software that really wants movies ~/Movies and not anywhere else) but it works.

5 Lightroom Import dialog box does not appear previews
I just installed Lightroom 5 and the import dialog box does not appear for previews of the images. Without previews, there are no images to select for import. It doesn't matter if they are JPG or CR2 and if I try to import from the camera card or hard drive. Version 4.4 also failed at first, but after fiddling around, I finally got the old version to work. Help, please!
I use Lightroom 5, Windows 7 64 bit.
I've expanded the dialog on the right boxes and Destination Panel on the right was the problem. As soon as I developed it, all the images in the preview window began to appear!

Filtering the name of e/s dialog box is not coming
Hello
The name IO filtering dialog box does not appear. My will becomes highlighted and that's it. I saw this issue appear on the forums before with no solution other than the new facility. I'm working on a Win 7 with LabView 15 machine.
So far I have tried:
Restore the control loading and constant of e/s name filtering of the block diagram
New VI in a new project
Repair of LabView 15
Install LabView fresh 16
Repair of LabView 16
DAQmx at 16 update
Equipment connected
Equipment disconnected
Only that I found so far is a creation of a control off a DAQmx Read VI with the relevant config.
Is this a known problem or did I misconfigured something?
Thank you
Denis

Yes, it's the missing part. I did a complete uninstall of LabView and DAQmx and reinstalled LabView first, then DAQmx. I still get no dialog box.
This is strange! If I have certainly seen issue LabVIEW installations (Hello, LabVIEW 2011). Here are some suggestions for what to do when bad LabVIEW installed (I'm assuming Windows 7):
- Start by going to the Control Panel control, OR software and click on delete all.
- Important - when it has finished, reboot!
- Install just LabVIEW (VIPM, if you want). Reset.
- Install only the toolkits and Modules you need (no drivers!). Reset.
- Just install the drivers you need. Reset.
- Open License Manager OR and to ensure that the products you need have showing them "Buttons license" in dark green.
I just did this with my system. Curiously, Acquisition of Vision software was green pale, but Vision Development Module is dark green (and Vision seems to work).
Also check out MAX and make sure that the Software Modules that you expect are present. If something seems "missing", report it here...

Import dialog box appears not all readers
For some reason any two drives my not appear as places of import from the import dialog box. They appear in the browser on the left in the library and the develop Module. I edit on the ssd and then move it to the other drive in Lr, so it's not slow my workflow, but only a strange problem.
Someone at - he heard of this? Someone said it could be the drive letter (b), I'll change it as soon as I return to my office. Any other ideas?
HI JMGant,
You can see the disks in the dialog import if you "choose a Source:" at the same to of the left panel? That should give you access to these drives even if they are not displayed in the Panel.

Did I miss something in the import dialog box new version 6.2? In previous versions of Lightroom, there was a possibility to perform a backup copy, or the second, imported files. If this function is gone, or I'm looking in the wrong places?
This new import dialog is a bust!
Greetings!
This option is always there in Lightroom CC/6 2.1 (version) updated most recent version (if haven't)
Make sure that you expand the Advanced tab

Usually, when I import pictures I plug my drive into a drive and the AutoPlay dialog box appears asking what task I want to perform. It doesn't show up. I did the trouble shooting and still nothing. Help!
If you connect the player to your PC via a USB cable
Put the camera... and go... Start / computer... it can be
listed as one or more drive letters... (depending on the way in which)
many slots, there)If_yes_right click on the drive letter that corresponds to the location
the card is in and choose... Open... or explore this should

Import dialog box does not recognize that some photos were imported.
If I import photos on a map, then eject it and put it later to import the rest, Lightroom does not recognize that some of these photos have been imported - it displays all of the available import photos, although I hear selected Photos. When I import, I choose to make a second copy, rename the files, and copy as DNG, as well as the file is stored with a different name and an extension of that which exists on the map (as a second copy with original naming is kept), but previously did not prevent Lightroom to recognize that a picture had already been imported. I think the problem started a month ago, but I can't identify any event related to this work more (post hoc ergo da hoc). Advice and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

My fault! LR doesn't have any problem recognizing duplicates, even if you rename the photos. I had unchecked somehow don't Import suspected duplicates. Without this checked, the news pictures option is kind of meaningless.

5.7.1 Lightroom Import dialog box is not showing images from any folder
It is under Windows 7 x 64. Any folder I select shows up like the screenshot above. There are records of my 7Dii CR2 files, jpg of my phone, other files jpg, movies, etc.. But it shows every single as file is empty. Any ideas? I don't remember making any changes at any time in the last days to settings. No idea what happened past.
Edit: the previously imported images appear in the fine catalog.
Hi AccipiterQ,
Could you please first select the option to import and COPY on the left panel, expand the destination Panel and then switch back to the option Add and check if it helps.

Import dialog box no longer displays the files (not even those on the hard drive)
I take pictures with a D70 (canon) and I imported the always without problems. After that an update or installation of an external program from the import dialog box shows not more photos. It is a black screen. The files can be read the navigation and are regularly cr2 (raw files). What can I do? There are 149 files on the card and not displayed, see below
later in the forum, I found this, and it does the job
I suggest you to reset preferences in Lightroom and then check out the same thing.

Lightroom 5.0 does not automatically open the import dialog box when the inserted memory card
Lightroom 5.0 fails to detect the memory card and import dialog box open. It has always worked well in Lightroom 2, 3 and 4. Same cards, same camera, same iMac using OSX 10.8.4. Manual import works OK, the card is detected fine.
Thank you very much, this TOTALLY WORKED for me. Win 10, LR 5.7.1. An inserted SD card of Nikon D7000 in the SD card reader built-in to laptop and Windows automatically started both Lightroom AND automatically went straight into LR import feature. Perfect.
(However, if LR is already running, insert the card SD initiates not import feature, despite having turned on the required checkbox in the preferences.) Nevertheless, it is progress! :-)

LR4 does not auto launch import dialog box after that one card is imported.
Hi all
I upgraded to of LR3 LR4. Works on a new iMac with mountain lion. LR4 said its updated.
If I import images of several cards that LR4 will automatically detect the first map and bring up the dialog box import, import the images and then ejected the card. When I pop in the next map there is no automatic import dialog box and I have to go to the drop-down list so he could start. When the second card is important it doesn't auto eject and I have to do it manually. Automatic detection is checked. Eject after that importation is checked. And the LR4 app is open (not trying to start LR when I put a card).
I did some research with no luck so if there is a thread about this please send me the link.
Thank you all!
For testing purposes a couple of things to try:
1. try to create a new, empty catalog. It works as expected in the new catalogue empty?
2. If not. Close Lightroom, rename the preferences file, open Lightroom and it will rebuild the preferences file. What is fix?
Preferences file: http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/preference-file-locations-lightroom-4.html
If she doesn't fix it, you can rename your preference back to your workspace to restore files.

You should always use the 2015.2 or 2015.2.1 version which had the modified import dialog box. Update LR 2015.3 through the creative cloud desktop application.

images are not in the order in the import dialog box...
use lightroom 4.3... import photos, they are displayed in a random order in the window of IMPORT. With previous versions of lightroom, they were always in order of file name. It becomes much more time to select files to import into a file, if there are 2 or more jobs on a CF card (I have pictures of my kids skiing mixed with a portrait session.). Is there a way to sort photos (by name of file, or time) before importing? I don't know how to sort after import.
These are your options. It's down to the right of the import dialog box

How to go back to Lightroom 6.1 in order to recover the import dialog box?
The new import dialog box might be nice for inexperienced users. For people who work with Lightroom on a daily basis, it is simply not usable.
How can I revert to the version 6.1?
