Import from a scanner to 11 items

I just upgraded to 4 items to 11 using Mac OS 10.6

Before, when I tried to import an image from my Scanner Canon 8600F, I went to the file, import, Canoscan 8600 and the Twain driver window appeared. No problem.

Now with 11 this happens. This happens with the editor or organizer. A search on these pages shows a similar problem with 10 items. I did this procedure, but it does not work. Why not? What is the point of this program, if it will not import from a scanner or have I missed something?

Not impressed with Adobe's Web site at all. Why is it so difficult access to society of orientation? This could be my last Adobe product.

Thank you very much for such a quick reply, unfortunately I don't seem to not be able to access this link. I tried searching for it but nothing helped. May possibly help to more please?

I can't photoshop CS6 to import from my scanner HP scanjet 5590? I tried plug ins and software scanning of reinstally but it only recognizes my main scanner/printer!

Photoshop CS6 is 64-bit only. TWAIN drivers are not entirely 64-bit (for the moment).

You should consider probably check with HP (supporting Web site or by phone) if they have a fully 64-bit compatible driver. If this isn't the case, you can try to use VueScan. Download here: http://www.hamrick.com/

Using the money from the Neat software could provide additional ease of use, so I hope someone can tell me how to use it.

  • With the Windows Photo gallery software, no choices are found in import from camera or scanner.

In Windows Photo Gallery, I select to import from camera or scanner and import of images and video pop - up box arrives, but it can't find my wireless scanners, connected to the network.  It allows, but now I can't get it back.  What should I do?

    Hi, sweats,

I suggest you try the steps from the following link:

I added my scanner to the computer, but I can't select it when I use Windows Fax and Scan or Windows Photo Gallery.

  • Problems to import pictures from a scanner

Hi, I am writing to report several bugs with the "import" Wizard when importing images directly from a scanner.  So far, I noticed 3 bugs:

    (1) if you disable the option tag images as import you them, there seems to be no way to get the 'Import settings' dialog box, except by another type of import (for example the import of images from a memory stick).  If you have disabled the tags for all types of imports, you'd be stuck - no way to make it back at all.  (Note: this has been reported elsewhere)

    (2) in the import dialog box, deselect "Open Windows Explorer after import" has no effect.  After each import, a Windows Explorer window appears showing me that the directory of the file has been imported to (i.e. "imported photos and videos").  Worse still, this happens even if another this window is already open - so if (for example), I scan 10 pictures, I have 10 windows explore open all showing this same directory (unless I close them I will).

    (3) I have my default scanning profile configured to save scans to. PNG format.  Once I log in, the first time I scan an image it works fine.  However, the time 2 and following, I get an error message "the following error occurred during the import Image.png: the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."  I need to click 'Try Again' to twice before the import goes forward, every time, but after doing that it works. (This only happens when registering as a. JPG; Note that I'm using Win7 x 64 and my scanner is a multifunction Canon MP730 with the latest device drivers installed from Microsoft Update).

I have the same problem using a scanner hp scanjet 3670 in Windows 7. Doesn't seem to be common - in fact it is one of only two posts, I found pertaining to it! The workaround is to set "always combine, skin tags" in the properties of the taskbar, do a right click Explore and "Close all windows" both button.

In the end, I stopped using a direct link to the scanner, as these options has never made any difference despite an OS reinstall :(

Somewhere, I found a recommendation to scan using Windows Fax and Scan Manager:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-GB/Windows7/products/features/Windows-fax-and-scan

Surprisingly simple & uncluttered, unlike a vendor supplied software. I can do several previews and analysis within the program save in the specified directory. The same program allows you to move the image files according to the needs

  • Import Images from a Scanner

For 15 years, I used Adobe Elements as my photo editing software. I import pictures from my scanner, camera, etc. My computer hard drive crashed last week. I have a new hard drive and had to reload all my programs. Now, when I am in Adobe PE 10 and say I want to import an image from my scanner or camera, it won't see them. Maybe a twain issue - but I can't find ANY help on the view of Adobe. My Brother MFC can print and scan (so the problem is not with them). I can get pictures from my camera "the long road". I can't get Adobe to see my scanner or camera. Help! Who should I contact (free) or where I can go for live chat? I want to get this resolved NOW!

Hope this helps. Let us know if this is correct.

Better is to restore the JSON backup in the Bookmarks Manager.

    • Bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > restore

You can save current bookmarks to an HTML file and import this backup after you restore the backup JSON as who will replace all current bookmarks.
It is possible to unpack the JSON backup, but you'd still have to restore that backup to get the bookmarks in the Bookmarks Manager.

You can usually find the Favorites IE imported into a folder ("Internet Explorer") at the bottom of the file Menu bookmarks or Favorites bar folder (bookmarks > show all bookmarks).

If there are problems with importing IE bookmarks in Firefox, then export favorites in Internet Explorer to a HTML file and import this file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.

If you don't have the menu bar in Internet Explorer, and then right-click on the toolbar above to activate the menu bar.

    • Export Favorites in Internet Explorer to a file (bookmarks.html) HTML:
      File > import and export
    • Import HTML file in Firefox:
Bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > import bookmarks HTML
