import psd in first pro cs4 failure

I'm running a 64 bit xp with the master suite model, when I try to import a single psd file in first, I get an error message stating not supported format or corrupted file. Also another problem that I have is to import MP4, it simply can't. It's all about a fresh new machine that may be lack of codecs or something like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Adam

Do the RGB or CMYK psd file?

It should be RGB.

  • First Pro CS4--> discussion draft Scratch files HELP!

In first Pro CS4, consider the following:

    Project-> "Scratch disks"
    Captured video
    Audio captured
    Video preview
    Audio excerpt

I have my images on its own drive. I'll do 'Capture Video' folder where I have my raw video? What is the idea? I did not capture anything. Everything will be imported to the project.

Even with the audio. I recorded audio separated and who in a different location. Or I could create a folder on the same drive as my images and store it there. I would like to do the 'Capture Audio' file to my audio file gross?

In regards to a video and Audio Preview: I have these on separate hard drives? To recap:

c: Windows and Premier Pro CS4
D: raw Footage, set "vidéo Capture" on this disc.
This disc contains also audio I recorded, set "captured" Audio "on this disc.
E: video Preview and an Audio excerpt: this disc is an empty disc. Should I set "Vidéo Preview" and "Audio Preview" places to this disc? It will be the disk will contain only my preview files.

    I think of this correctly?

    Thank you

    Tim

    It's a clean car.

Alternatively, put the project files and an overview on the same drive.

  • Tiff file unsupported or corrupted in first Pro CS4

I receive a message: file is unsupported or damaged trying to do an import in first Pro CS4. I can open the file in Photoshop CS4, windows photo viewer and other applications without problem. I tried to save the file in jpeg format and then imported it into Premier Pro but the preview screen is black. Has anyone ever had this happen? It seems that the only problem exists in Premier Pro.

    Joe

A well-trained CMYK TIFF opens fine in PS, I, InDesign, etc. It does NOT open in PrPro, as video RGB only, and PrPro does not have the CMYK, that is to be printed. Same thing with images of higher resolution.

If the form above. IS the problem, just change the Image > Mode in PS and make a Save_As. Then, everything will work correctly.

    Good luck

  • How can I get the serial number for update for first pro cs4 4.2.1, one provided with the product does not work.

How can I get the serial number for update for first pro cs4 4.2.1, one provided with the product does not work?

You don't need a serial nr for updating a program

You need the original CS4.0. install and add the series nr. to get the program to work.

Now you can update to 4.2.1

  • How can I sync 2 sony AVCHD images from the camera on the "date" as a prelude and import it in first pro?

I have 2 sony camera popular with the AVCHD file structure. The two cameras are the same. How can I sync 2 sony AVCHD images from the camera on the "date" as a prelude and import it in first pro? Im working with 6.0

Now I see the date taken in the import screen until I click "ingest". When in the trash, this option is there, but no metadata in there. It is therefore impossible to import images from two cameras and have these sorted.

How can I get this sorted out before, so I can export for the first?

Thank you. Tom van den Dool

is it possible to buy first pro CS4 or CS5? even as a student, I can't afford Cs6

There might be a way but I don't think anyone here will recommend sellers - too random.  You could try buying from someone who has it, but has evolved to a more recent version, although they might want to not part with her if she is part of a progression of upgrade.

In any case, this forum is not for help people buy a software, then you can try another forum... maybe try one of the first forums...

    Here are a few suggestions:

    1. Try loading new video drivers (nvidia or ATI)?
    2. provide a little more on your system (memory, GPU, OS, etc.)
    3. trash your Pref.

    Hope this helps,

  • Problem setting transition duration first pro cs4. Is this a bug?

    Hello world

I have made a project of first pro cs4 and I'm having problems setting the duration of transitions between clips. I have my default transion set to cross dissolve them and 15 frames in length. When I try to lengthen, it seems that first makes two transitions in instead of a longer one. So, if for example I got a clip with a dip to black when I extend more than 15 default images to say 30 images I get two separate transitions one after the other instead of a long. I know it's difficult to understand so I downloaded the video on youtube. If fast forward you to the minute 01:20, you will see the latest bland given away with a dip to black transition and the you'll be right flash a bit after the last light disappears. I hope someone can help me solve this problem, as I'm completaly lost. Thank you :-)

Work waaay too hard at this, dude.  Just use the default chained.  It gives you good fade to the top using all 24 images, no adjustment necessary.

You do not install the fonts in the first, you install in windows.

Right-click on the police and 'install '.

  • MOV files import trouble in first pro cs3 adobe

    Hello

I just bought a Canon 60 d camera and I'm using adobe first pro cs3 for the first time.

I tried to import my Canon 60 d MOV file footages, but it says that my files are not supported.

I don't know what to do!

    Can someone help me?

    Thank you.

    Welcome to the forum.

Full HD H.264 in a file format MOV of DSLRS is beyond the capabilities of CS3.

    I recommend using

Square 5 - MPEG Streamclip video converter for Mac and Windows

to convert the video to a lossless codec lossless as Avid DNxHD or Apple Photo-JPEG (75% quality value) nearby.  See if the converted files import and edit properly in CS3.

Get the Avid codecs for free here:

    Download Avid QuickTime Codecs 2.1

  • MP4 import crashing of Premiere Pro CS4

I'm doing a short promo video for my University winter sports club. Just started using first Pro so do not know if it makes a mistake obvious im. I started a project and had imported 2 avi files that come from after effects, an mp3, and sound effects. the first MP4 I imported was fine, its about 400 MB and was filmed on a Gopro headcam. I then tried to import a smaller MP4 in the same project. It crashed the first and every time ive tried. I tried other importers of most MP4 are fine apart from a few much larger files. I also split the file of origanal down in spindles of 50 MB, but it hangs on. I also tried to import into a new empty project with no sucsess. I thought that the file may be corrupted, but they play well and After Effects will load and play them. I have an AMD X 2 4200 Dual, with 2 GB of ram on Windows xp. I also tried transferring the file to different locations, and rename.

    Thank you

  • Import MXF on first Pro Cs5 (Panasonic P2) batch?

    Hello

Does anyone know how to import several both mxf files without having to import the folder contents as separate files? To be clear. I know that several ways to import the mxf in first files. The first is to simply click on file > import, and then browse to the file. Another way via the media browser and yet another is to click with the right button on the project Panel and selecting import. They all share the same problem. You can only import one file at a time because you must select the mxf file in the video subfolder. First then composites the audio and video together. If you select instead the 00 files # you can select more than one, but you get lots of separate audio and video files for each clip. (You also get a composite file but the additional files are a nightmare when it comes to the Organization).  The file looks like when you navigate using the Flie > import or right-click > import methods:

    http://img.skitch.com/20100708-jm33j5ip1b5ii9uhcbyqqag5f5.jpg

The media browser option is slightly different in the time you navigate to the folder 00 # you see the composite file instead of the content folder. But still you cannot select multiple files at the same time unless you navigate only in the parent 00 # s folder so you can select all folders 00 # but you get the same messy jumble of files you get trying this the other way. You can just drag them to the project or Panel right click > import to import the files. This is what it looks like:

    http://img.skitch.com/20100708-c9cuub8d38qh7pk6fn4m78au6u.jpg

The problem is that it is what the file looks like when you import the file:

    http://img.skitch.com/20100708-n7hg5u38nwdnywcui4q55wuaa7.jpg

The only necessary file in this folder all is the last. Then someone does know how to import several mxf files in an era that produced only a single file by sequence in first pro CS5?

Yes, P2CMS is kind of stupid that way - it is really built for a FCP workflow, where you can not handle the MXF files natively. I'm not using P2CMS (or at least I have not for a while), but see if you can turn off the ability to split clips in folders like this.

The mode of operation of the P2, is that a CONTENT folder is created, with AUDIO, VIDEO, CLIP, ICON, VOICE and PROXY files it contains. Each folder contains the part of the MXF clip that corresponds to the type of folder (ie. video goes into the VIDEO folder and so on). When you ingest with P2CMS, it grabs all the components of a specific clip and throws them in a folder named for the clip. The idea is that it facilitates asset management, because you can only select folders (clips) you want, and you will get all the files you need. I personally think it's a lousy way to do it, but it's me.

If P2CMS won't let you copy a P2 card with the intact original folders, you can probably just use Finder to copy the CONTENTS of the folder and its, well well, the content on your local drive. So, when you look at the map "P2" of the media browser, you will see all the clips that are there.
