Import PSD or PNG into Flash?

Hi, I want to know if there is some sort of 'proper' of the image to import into Flash. Is there a difference in quality between using a Photoshop file or a png image?

If your psd file is set to 72 dpi then you should see the same quality when you import an image. Import a psd has the advantage of allowing for each layer to be imported into a separate file.

  • How to import Photoshop video layers in Flash?

I use the timeline Photoshop function to draw and animate images. But I also want to import these video layers into Flash for further editing.

I already know you can import an ordinary psd in flash and have transferred all the separate layers. But when I try to import a psd file that has video layers; all layers appear empty.

Ideally, I would like to create an animation frame by frame in Photoshop and then be able to import them into Flash for editing. Any help?

You can always keep your individual designs on separate layers in P'shop. Use a script in P'shop to export layers of images. Import these images as a sequence into Flash. Flash will import to keyframes in the Flash timeline.

  • Layer panel display in PSD & I import the file into Flash CC?

    Hi guys,.

You guys at Adobe, you always did an excellent job. I love all of your software. Your reputation is awesome.

However, I want to encourage you to add layer view panel in Flash CC in CS6.

I just installed Dlash CC and I found out that I can't use it for what I do.

The new features and the black interface are all great, I love them. The only thing that bothers me are the features that were dropped from earlier versions. It's really something that forces me to use Flash CS6.

I am a developer of flash games and I do things all around active graphic preparation in hiking & animations in Flash.

    This is my workflow CS6:

    In Photoshop

    1. I prepare all the graphics in Photoshop. I also have the folder structure already in Photoshop so when I import into flash, everything is as I need and I did not bother with nesting of videos or distribution of symbols to the layers.

    Then in Flash

    1. I press the import library in Flash, locate the PSD and then I'll put stuff in the display of the control panel in the window layer import
    2. I select the layers I want to import (this way I don't have to edit the PSD in Photoshop whenever I import, moreover, sometimes I forgot to turn off the visibility of a layer and I do when importing)
    3. I put quality individually for certain assets (time-saving, but I'll check again, in any case in the properties of the active)
    4. I set the record (in the Center) of the symbol individually as I need for each symbol (huuuuuuge time saver, having is not the ability to do so is a killer CC for me)
    5. I put the name of the instances for the selected clips (saves time)
    6. I select the files I want to import as a symbol (huge time saver)
    7. ... now I press the import.
    8. then I'll animate everything (using the Motion Editor, who is also absent BTW but that's another topic)

And this is a HUGE timesaver. Otherwise, I have to do it one by one, after importation.

Almost none of this, I am able to do in Flash CC.

Individual establishment registration is particularly important. That I regard as the biggest problem. Objects that are imported are different. And having to set the record eventually ruin the position of each symbol completely.

This dream would be to have the features that were available in CS6:

    • Select the layers I want to import
    • addition of Instance names for selected layers
    • possibility to adjust the quality individually
    • option to make a unique symbol or import bitmap
    • option to make a folder symbol
    • option fors defining the (record) Center of the symbol

And also, allows to make it even more impressive, think similarly to add more features :

    • option to import a symbol with the type - button / video / graphic

Well, I just hope that all the features have been abandoned because you built CC Flash form scratch and just not had enough time to complete all the features.

So, is it possible that you will develop in Flash CC?

Thank you for reading my message.

    Kind regards

Edit #1: Here I am adding screenshots with my thoughts.

  • My sound became STRONG after it gets imported into Flash. What is going on?

This is the first time I had this problem. I record the sound in WavePad and then import into Flash. When I import it the sound extends just to the ground screaming. I pulled out and he does again but whenever it is ablaze in Flash. What is going on?

kglad was wrong. It was this means say to serve not 44.1 Kbps as the data, the sampling frequency of 44.1 KHz rate. The sampling rate can be the cause of the problem, but the bit depth of sound is more likely. Flash cannot deal with 32-bit audio.

Then, open the sound in the sound editor and do a save as and select as sampling frequency 44.1 KHz and 16 bit as the bit depth. It's more likely to work in Flash.

  • Is it possible to import a timeline of photoshop into Flash CC?

I'll explain what it is I do,

I created a globe in photoshop that swivels 360 degrees, I'm looking for this import into flash to make the interactive world with markers. I need land to be permanently turn though when you click on a location, the earth rotates at this point, kind of like google earth. I can see there is no way to create 3D in flash objects, so I can't do a globe looking professional without him in search of flat and boring unless I can do on photoshop and somehow import it to Flash everything keeping the sphere 3D attributes and have still the Earth turn.

I'm not too Flash experience but any help that I can get would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Jamie

If you can record a sequence of bitmaps, you can import this sequence in flash on a chronogram.

  • Can't import video into Flash Pro CS5

I can't import video in Flash Professional CS5.  I tried all sorts of things for days without success. I used Adobe Media Encoder to convert a video into a format that can be imported into Flash. My source was a VOB (it's a Pal Source) I have been using game source presets and tried others too.  I think I've managed to convert the video for both FLV and F4V formats.  They play well with Adobe Media Player.  However, when I try to import (file-import-open external library (get the screen of the Wizard), click Browse on the option of your computer, select the file, exit load video with playback component, then continue hit and continue to hit on the screen following after select the default skin and pressing on continue on the next page and finish on the next page) , I get the error tab out Flash that says: "NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound: Adobe Flash tried to read a live feed or recorded, that does not exist." Source was not found. "No matter what I try, I get the same message.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.   I have searched all over the web for a solution to this problem with nothing doesn't.

    Thank you

    Kirk

Open the file browser > navigate to the directory that contains your flv/f4v > right click > click Properties > confirm that she has more than 0 bytes.

If it does create a new directory and move your flv/f4v to the new directory.  create a new fla and save it to the newly created the directory that contains your flv/f4v and repeat your import steps.

    any problem?

  • I can't import audio data into Flash pro Cs5

I can't import audio data Flash Pro Cs5, I'm new to Flash pro and I'm working on an interactive story, I need audio that I download from incompetech.com. MP3s are fine and play in windows Mp3, but when I try to bring them into Flash I get a message saying that it can't import them and does not say why. I have looked at this but impossible to find an answer, I work with windows 7, flash Cs5 64 bits in actionscript 2.0 and I do not have a good editior just flash.

    -Thank you

This usually means that there is a problem of sampling rate.

Load your mp3 into a sound editor and then export it using the standard settings.

  • Need help to import sound into flash CS5.5! ???

I have an MP3 of a song that I downloaded from beemp3.com. I tested to make sure it was not a virus or some thing as wheneever but I click on file-> import to library, I select the mp3 file and an error comes up saying that it could not be imported! I don't understand why he doesn't im [ort in flash. I'm using actionscript 3.0 incidentally. and it has the same error message when I try to import any song into flash. Anyone have the same problem or a solution?

This is a common problem.  in every situation I've seen, the sound of opening in a sound editor and resave in mp3 format with a new name, authorized the file to be imported.

  • Import Illustrator files into Flash

I'm using Flash CS4 and I want to import a * file WAS containing the shapes of the countries of Europe. The thing is that each country has a topping of points (blue or yellow) instead of a solid color. Here's a screenshot of my Illustrator screen:http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/6983/testedd.jpg

When I import the AI in all these points are rasterized and everything looks like to crushed because I have more Flash vector points but rather in bitmaps. Example of the exported SWF file: http://takeab.us/SPL_embed/index_carte.html
(try and right click and zoom, you will see how it looks like)

So what is the best way to import a file I and also retain the vector shapes? I tried with an EPS version and still no hope.

    Select each country.

Object > expand, then Pathfinder > Crop.

You must ensure that the model is considered as vector objects. It will do for many more objects well.

    Repeat for all countries.

Then copy > paste into Flash.

I put a dvd set for my nursery and I have many many photos and I can't click on each of them.  Please give me some useful advice soon so I'm not crazy!  School is out next week! I know that there must be an easy fix.

What source files have been moved, deleted,
renamed or are otherwise inaccessible... it
will be red Xs in the Movie Maker Collection
Pane. And you're right... If files are always
available path may be restored with
    a right click / Browse.

Given that the Movie Maker project file does not work
Archive copies of your original source files...
It would be preferable that you copied your files to a
folder on your hard drive and import them into movie
    Machine from here.

  • Can I loop a progressive video loaded into Flash?

I have a quicktime movie that has been coded and imported into Flash progressive download, since it is about 2 MB.

When I play my Flash movie now the video is displayed, plays once and then stops at the end.

Is there an easy way to get the video loop to run continuously?

    Thank you
    DAN

Yup yup - you need an onComplete actionscript loop

give the instance name vid FLVplayback component and put this code on the frame containing:

    var vidList: Object = new Object();
    vidList.complete = function() {}
    VID. Play();
    }
    vid.addEventListener ("complete", vidList);
    Stop();

I'm migrating from outlook to Thunderbird. Import all the emails and addresses does not work. So I exported by e-mail addresses from my server to a csv file. I imported the csv file into Thunderbird. I have to OK the addresses import. Is it possible to import in one click

If you export all your contacts in a single csv file, you should be able to import the file in a single step, although you may need to edit the csv file before you do:

  • import a WAV file into iTunes?

Can someone explain to me how do I import a WAV file into iTunes? I'm dragging in, right/option clicking on the file and go - open in iTunes but nothing happens and I can't play or do anything with it. Thank you

It adds no doubt, but given that WAV files do not contain track information is to find with no name of the album and as the file name for a song title. Look in your recently added playlist.

  • When I import a video file into Windows Movie Maker it plays Audio and video

When I import a video file into Windows Movie Maker, it plays the video and no Audio how to import the video file so that it contains the audio when the time to line up? Help?

Original title: when I import a video file into Windows Movie Maker, it plays the video and no Audio how to import the video file so that it contains the audio when the time to line up? Help?

When I import a video file into Windows Movie Maker, it plays the video and no Audio how to import the video file so that it contains the audio when the time to line up? Help?

Watch the video file. The last 3 letters represent the file format.

Windows Movie maker only supports the following video file formats:

Video files: .asf, .avi, .dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv

If yours is not on the above list, Movie Maker will have probel play.

In this case, you will have to google for a free video converter and change the format of your video file to WMV. WMV format is the most reliable format for Windows. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

I reboot but I have the same result. Anyone know how to fix this?

You're on a retina display?  Try to remove or pixelation of text layers. other people have reported that the bug has been corrected on their end.

The same bug is discussed in this thread the Advanced Options to facilitate import dialog is not visible (OS X 10.11) and Adobe staff is aware and looking inside.
