Imports to Lightroom with clarity 100

Hello people,

I have the odd problem that lightroom always matter with clarity 100. There is certainly something wrong with my presets, don't know how to change it. Thanks for your suggestions, tobfl

If you apply a "Preset" during the import process, this preset will apply to all imported images. Another way to apply a preset to all images would have several images highlighted in the active development and auto-sync module.

The first thing I would suggest you try is to restore the clarity on one of these newly imported images, changing nothing else. Then, save new camera default values. Then I check in your import dialog box to make sure that you have not chosen a preset to apply during the import process. Then take a test image and import it.

I recently had to rebuild the computer and reinstalled the photos.  I have photos imported into Lightroom, but the parameters associated with the photos, that is to say. When they were developed, are not there.  How to import these?

Default LR stores all changes in the catalog file, not in the pictures. So if you have a backup of your original catalog you will need to copy on the newly rebuilt system and open it in LR. You will then need to recreate a link to the images in the catalog depending on where are your images and where the original LR catalogue think they are.

  • Import of duplicates with "Add" in Lightroom 2015.2.1 is not possible.

Import of duplicates with "Add" in Lightroom 2015.2.1 is not possible.

I have try to add photos on my hard drive for the catalogue of lightromm since the new version of Lightroom. But Lightroom says that are duplicates of already existing photo and does not matter to them. Yes they are duplicates that are in other folders, but in older versions, it was possible to slect or deselect 'import duplicates. " I can't find this option more. Where is he? Maybe you can help me. Thank you very much.

    Best regards

    Hi [email protected],

The option to "Import suspected duplicates" has been deleted since the last release of Lightroom CC 2015.2.1.

However for re-import images in Lightroom, you need to rename the images in Lightroom and then import them.

  • My my D7100 nef files won't import, whats wrong with lightroom 5.  This just started happening

Why my my D7100 Nikon NEF files won't import to lightroom 5.  I have updates!

Thank you seanmcfoto. I import direct to LR and not via the Nikon software. So I finally got to work. I imported a test through apples picture Capture photo and then after I did it I tried to import this NEF file in LR and it worked. So then I tried the rest of the photos directly from my camera to LR. For some reason, it works now. I wish I knew why he had this glitch. Thanks for your reply.

  • Last import in Lightroom put red cast / fog on all video clips... they can be viewed on computer without this casting

    Hello

My last import of Lightroom to approximately 10 video clips that all have a red go up to them. Whether they are searchable in the red fog corrupted that Lightroom ask it. When I right click on the video on Lightroom "Show in Finder", each clip has no red mist. They can be viewed perfectly [without fog / cast] on the my computer as imported to Lightroom.

Please tell us if you can,

    Thank you!

    -BrianP

You can reset develop settings applied to the video in the library view in section rapid development on the right sidebar (reset all). My guess is that a preset with a change in the balance of whites got applied to your video. Make sure that the popup of the white balance to develop quick says "under fire."

  • Underexposed import in Lightroom.

I have RAW Nikon D750 and import to my PC using Nikon View NX2 and photos are very good. Then import into Lightroom and they go dark by about 2 stops after a few seconds and the picture is almost ruined. they look well on to other programs. Import presets are disabled and calibration of the camera is without help. Any suggestions?

Yes, active D-Lighting is the problem.

When ADL is set to 'low', all processing is done in the unit, causing no problems with third-party software.

To any one of the higher settings, half the processing of ADL is behind closed doors with the second half made in the Nikon software for post-processing. Since no third-party software reads the data from the ADL - neither knows what to do with it - result of underexposed images when not treated with the Nikon software.

  • An import to Lightroom means an automatic download to the creative cloud?

Hi, I am puzzled because I didn't consciously choose to download one of my photographs to cloud creative (Adobe Lightroom has sent me an email informing me that the photos are waiting for me on my mobile device). I've been working and learning with Lightroom however and through this process, I imported my photos into Lightroom. Thus, an import to Lightroom means an automatic download to the creative cloud? I'm not ready ready yet to use the CC storage for any of my files yet. If they have been uploaded - how can I access remove? Gosh, it makes me nervous as I want to be in charge... your help is much appreciated...

No, the files are not automatically sent to the creative cloud when you import them into Lightroom. In order to have images in the cloud of Adobe creative, it must create a collection in Lightroom, choose the images you want to share via Lightroom online or via Lightroom Mobile. You will have to consciously choose to share this collection before sending them to the cloud. If you have inadvertently shared a collection, it's simple stop sharing by clicking on the small icon to the left of this collection. You are in complete control of what you share and do not share in the cloud. You could take the time to watch this video. It will give you a good introduction to the functioning of Lightroom Mobile:

Lightroom CC - go Office Mobile - An Introduction to Lightroom for mobile - YouTube

If you want to see what so-called pictures are waiting for you, you can go to Lightroom.adobe.com and sign in with your Adobe ID and password. You will be able to see what, if any, the pictures you shared. I think that this message you have received is just a friendly reminder invites you to start using the feature. But I could be wrong.

  • How to display without import it, because they were already imported into lightroom 5 images on my hard drive in lightroom

I want to see the photos on my hard drive that have already been imported to lightroom.  Problem is when I open lightroom with the images that they are treated as an import and are not visible to be worked.

The 'Haze' indicates that you use the import command to display your images. You do not have it to display images or 'open' - Import is for saving the photos in the catalog/library. Therefore, close this import - dialog box there is a Cancel button.

You are now in the normal window of Lightroom. Press G to go on the grid, open the folders Panel in the library and the use of the library filter (Ctrl F on Windows or Cmf F on Mac).

  • I use Lightroom with an external hard drive?

I have my Lightroom Catalog and photos stored on an external hard drive. When I try to import photos from my camera card into the Lightroom Catalog I get this message "could not open the lightroom catalog called Catalog Lightroom because it is too new to be used by this version of Lightroom." I have Lightroom 5.7.1 and uses a Macbook pro. Should I be storing my LR catalog on my laptop and not the external hard drive?

    Hi robinbeaton,

    Greetings!

Should I be storing my LR catalog on my laptop and not the external hard drive?

You can save the Lightroom catalog on your laptop and the external drive.

But storing on the external drive is only useful if you access Lightroom with catalog even on other computers too.

"Could not open the lightroom catalog called Catalog Lightroom because it is too new to be used by this version of Lightroom.

Do you have you installed or used Lightroom before 6/cc?

This error appears when you try to open 6/cc Lightroom Catalog Lightroom 5.

  • Portfolio crashes when you try to build the cover page of an image imported via Lightroom sync project.

The title says it all.  While you can import images into a new project through Lightroom mobile sync when you try to create a cover image for the project, you can select one of the imported images, but when you try to apply the portfolio crashes.  The only way to go beyond this stage is to import them separately a jpeg.

Another problem with imported via Lightroom photos mobile sync, it's that the display full screen obtained by double clicking on the image in the project is not centered on being right-justified display.  There seems to be no way to change this behavior.

    How to overcome those problems?

Just tried again this morning and guess what it worked perfectly.  Only difference I can see is that Lightroom is running and who claims to be always sync when I had the problem and this morning when the problem went away Lightroom was off.  Incidentally, if you want to report bugs that you must go to the portfolio help page and ask a question.

  • Import of Lightroom is super buggy despite the "fix", they produced and apologized for.

New import to Lightroom is super buggy.
It crashes, does not recognize the photos to import or struggles to import only seven Raw photos when he used to fly hundreds of importers.
I try to import photos from lightroom in a shared folder stored on our local server/network. An operation that worked seamlessly with any version of Lightroom update fall pre-2015.

All my equipment, disks and networks have not changed, and the new version of Lightroom is the only change.
Sometimes after four or five tries import will work, but it will take 20 to 30 minutes to import the pictures 5-7.

Recovery of DNG issue: I have photos stored on an external hard drive which have previously been imported into Lightroom and converted to DNG.  The laptop on which I was running Lightroom died and I had to replace the hard drive and rebuild the computer.  In the process of my Lightroom program and catalog related to these images have been lost.  When I re-associate these photos with my new installation of Lightroom and a new catalogue is there a way to retrieve the keywords or other changes or metadata catalogue Mountaga?  Is any of this information embedded with the imge DNG file or was it only in the cataloght lost on my failing hard drive? I re-import just as if it were new images with no prior treatment of Lightroom?

By default, LR saves all changes in the catalog, and that applies to any type of file.

Optionally, you can save changes to the file as well, for raw files owners, this will create a xmp file - for DNG that changes are going to be cooked in the file, without additional xmp file.

But it does not default. Go to the catalog and parameters under the control of metadata automatically save changes to XMP.

Unless you do this, the changes are saved only in the catalog.

    Hope this makes things clearer.

  • How can I start during the import in Lightroom?

I made a blunder. I thought I knew what I was doing to import into Lightroom. Before I knew it, all the photos on all my drives, 50 000 photos, were imported. I don't want all of them and I would do it again. If I delete the catalog that will remove photos from Lightroom, but not my readers?

    Help!

    Hi doncow,

Yes, you can delete the catalog, and it will not delete your images, once you start with the new catalogue, you can select a folder under the source you want to import.

You can uncheck the images that you do not want to import into Lightroom.

You can use an external hard drive to get all the images from your old computer to the new, then import into Lightroom.
