  I bought photoshop cs3 earlier. Upgrade to a better computer and bought Illustrator CS4. I've installed illustrator CS4 BEFORE installing Photoshop CS3 on the new machine.  When I went to install PS CS3, he asked the IllCS4 disk. I put in there and nothing.   However, after all this, when I try to install PS CS3, it continues to ask me for the bad CS4 disc.

  Please check, if you really deleted applications Adobe (including Adobe Reader etc) and the caps.db is deleted. It can be found in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\caps. It records everything installs / uninstalls, so if it #s still here, he would still have information about previous CS4 stuff that could adversely affect obtaining CS3 on the system.
