• Can I use Muse/Dreamweaver to build an album pop up for my Wordpress site?

  I use Wordpress, but could not find a plugin pop-up ads to pay for. They all look basically the same, very little the customization and BLAH overall. I saw once a superb pop - up on an Adobe site that stopped me in my tracks. This is what I want.

  You can of course build things in MU / DW, but the better question is, how do you really want to implement it in your WP site? WP cares not for what outside his themes and plug-ins and without the proper files code API in the files that your fancy Gallery will not be displayed with the exception of manually link to it, which, according to your description, is not what you want. so unless you plan to learn the WP API and by creating your own code, may settle for something more accessible and get one of these 'boring' galleries?   1. to connect to the remote server and pull all files in public_html in your www WAMP or MAMP folder.

  2. AFTER all the files are drawn, save a copy of wp - config.php one safe place.

  2 delete the wp - config.php IN the LOCAL DISPLAY!

  3. navigate to the folder wordpress in the browser, EXAMPLE: localhost/public_html

  4. you will be prompted to set up a new wordpress, when you do, make sure that the table prefixes are the same as the remote server prefixes.

  5 import your XML file to the Wordpress on the remote server.

  6. ENJOY.

  Word of warning, when you work on your theme, your local point of view and PUT the files on the server, make sure that you say NEVER Yes for including dependent files, you run the chance to crush the wp-config remote and if you have not saved a copy you can not go back in it.   I made changes to my style.css files for my wordpress sites. It seems that my changes do not appear on other computers. However on my MAC OS X, the changes do not appear on Firefox. I see the changes on Safari (on my MAC) I cleared cache, I reset Firefox, I have disabled DNS on my MAC and really have no idea where to go from here.
  My preference to use Firefox as my browser to work is to use Firebug.

  I spent the afternoon at the Wordpress installation in a MAMP environment. I'm ready to start building the theme, and when I try to do it using Dreamweaver... I fail miserably.

  KEY INFORMATION:

  • The Site displays just Fine in typing 'Localhost' in the browser
  • Test of Dreamweaver Server seems to be connect and discover, simply do not post... fml

  I also provide an IMGUR Gallery with screenshots. Showing that the PHP/SQL server runs out of Dreamweaver. And my site/server inside the Dreamweaver CC settings.

  I would also add that if you customize a theme (or rather a child theme), you work with the code in your/WP - content /themes folder. not the WP core files.

  There is little of the magic that is you fool. Basically, if you change out.println () System.out.println () you will see TWO URLS begin with satellitescheme: / /. What is happening, this is the URL which are produced by the ISU Sites still are built with a satellitescheme://...#satellitefragment. Then, what is Server RHN Satellite will process the result and replace the strange chain with one that fits your URL assembler (and in this case, you use the GSF assembler).

  In your code of substring, you are breaking the special chain and are cutting the encoded URL. RHN Satellite Server does not see the prefix and the suffix combined, so it does not have to make the substitution.

  That's why Your ' e see what see Your ' e.

  A big question is however, why you try to process the URL generated by the API. I guess that sort of substitution will happen, but that should not be done. What you trying to do? I'm sure we can find the right way to achieve your goals.

  I've always done Web sites with Dreamweaver using HTML, CSS and Jquery. If the customer wanted a CMS, I used Pagelime or CushyCMS. I have an e-commerce site, but if I was called to do one, I guess I would have installed Shopify or something similar.

  I thought I should learn how to create Web sites customized to my clients powered with Wordpress. My reasoning for this is that it provides a free CMS and shopping cart solution for them, and more who knows what other goodies are available? I guess a plethora of fabulous things that I can put on their Web site very easily, like the pages of discussion forum and newsletter opt-in buttons and other thingies widget magic.

  I have a new client who asked a Wordpress site, so now seems to be the time to learn. However, after already spending a whole day trying to get my head around Wordpress and read a few comments on the forums here, I realized it is really not easy! Certainly not the magic carpet ride, he says he is! I think it'll be quite a learning curve for the customer, and may be Cushy is a better option for customers who want just a simple CMS for their corporate Web site.
