  I installed the server VMWare View connection, but when I try to add my VC, I get a connection error. I checked the firewall ports and traffic becomes to my VC so I don't think that's the problem. I checked the event log on the server VMWare View connection and try to connect to http:// < virtualcenter >: < port > /SDK

  I guess this way tells me that I need to install the SDK. I downloaded it, but the installation instructions are not clear, and I find nothing in the installation guide for VMWare View to help me.

  Can someone advise or give me a detailed guide on what do I do?

  There is nothing to install. The URL... / sdk will give a 404 error, it is not used as-is. For example, I've seen configured to point to the VC:

  Server address: vc.mpryor.int

  User name: administrator

  Password: *.

  Connect using SSL: true

  This will save the URL https://vc.mpryor.int:443 / sdk in ADAM and use it. Navigation it will give me a 404 error, but I assure you that I'm using without problem.  You must have a network issue - check firewall, proxy server (for the machine, not your user account) and DNS.

  I am currently facing a questions in my test harness which happens when I connect to public IP address on server security by the breath. No problem if I connect using view Client.

  Using the breath, I can log on, select a desktop view, then the url of the Web page showing my ip Server security for about 10 seconds and then I was redirected to the private IP address of NAT from the desktop view target and of course I couldn't connect.

  

  Note: The local private ip address redirection does not happens if I configured to connect to show the connection to the server through breath.

  I have:

  • Self-signed SSL installed without warnings
  • activated the tunnel to connect to the server
  • Tunneling on server security enabled
  • disabled all firewall for testing purposes
  • locally defined in the host file to resolve my domain name full of security server static IP used in my office. (vsecurity.icliq.com in this case)
  • required ports are configured with port forwarding in my router from office

  Yes, the option of Blast Secure Gateway is used to ensure that Blast connections are routed from your browser by the server security (or connect to the server). That's what you want to access remotely. If you do not select this option, Blast connections will be direct to your virtual desktop. This is for internal connections.

  It goes the same for PCoIP and PCoIP Secure Gateway.

  We have a small project with 5 desktop computers (= Users) and we think that it would be a good place to test VMware View.

  Unfortunately, it seems that we must implement the 4 servers to serve 5 customers:

  • ESX Server
    
  • View transfer server
    

  What is the most simple and functional solution for VMware View with 5 users?

  The only software they use is a simple accounting tool that works very well with 100 k of memory...

  We hope that we can install a simple solution like this:

  HP (server) hardware with:

  • ESX Server with:
    
    • 1 x Windows 2008 R2 with Active Directory and the file server
      
    • 1 x Windows 2008 R2 with VMWare View to serve the 5 office users
      

  Unfortunately, there are no pre-sales VMware does support form / email (we hope that there is a customer support).

  Therefore, it would be great if someone can help us to answer this question.

  I also wonder how this bake-off will go. I hope that the victories of view! In order to achieve this please take a good look at the documentation of the view. I also highly recommend that you take a look at the guide to optimize Windows 7 to see: http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/VMware-View-OptimizationGuideWindows7-EN.pdf

  This will show you how to build a good image of Win 7 basis for review. Also note that it is strongly recommended that you build your base images starting from zero and NOT P2V them. You can quickly and easily build images for operating systems Windows using MDT 2010 update 1. This tool is free and is Microsoft. I strongly recommend that you take a look. In addition, many optimizations for Win7 and view are also good for use with Xen. Good luck.

• Virtual office to backup VMWare View linked Clone

  I would like to know what the best method is to save the virtual office linked clone on VMWare View. For the moment, I use the latest version of vRanger Pro connection with VCB integration.

  in a persistent pool would really matter because there is no guarantee they would never return the same office again.  If you have a properly configured user environment then persistence or no persistence would not matter that the data would be stored in a place that would be subject to a backup system.   I don't understand the need to safeguard a VDI guest.  back to top comments templates, view servers and the vCenter server.  Comment no way.  backup windows are pretty long already to go back up throw away from devices.

  I have installed the following to an ESX 4.1 server:

  -VMware View connection server (Server 2008 R2 Ent)

  -V - Center (Server 2003 Std)

  Install the VMware Client with Local Mode 4.5 to a laptop

  Installed VMware Agent to a Windows XP and Win7 is a guest vm on the ESX Server.

  I can connet with success both of these machines.

  When I try to extract either of these machines, I get the error message after 2% saying, "underlying this desktop virtual machine is unavailable.

  

  Can someone tell what to do to solve this problem?  I can't find anything so far for this error.

• Office 2010 Activation - VMware View 5.2 different material

  I could use a little help.  Here's the situation.

  I have a new view environment.

  I have 3 ESXi 5.1 servers - we'll call it Host1, Host2, Host3.

  Host1 is brand new and slightly different from Host2 and Host3. (They are a bit older)

  I did all my tests on Host1.  Including build my master Windows 7 Image and install all of the applications that I need.

  As part of the master Image, I activated Office 2010 before making a snapshot and pushing through related clones.

  Linked clones are now balanced between all 3 hosts as it should.

  All of my users who have VM on Host2 and Host3 now see 'Office 2010 Activation' screens.

  Seems Office has detected a difference in the level of material and is asking them to "Activate Office" again and they have no administrative permissions to do this.

  An idea of the best way for me to get around this problem?

  If I manually activate Office - he goes - right up until I do a restructuring - then it returns.

  You use a KMS server to activate office or try to use a MAK key?    It is considered to be best practices when dealing with view to use a KMS server

  The problem I have is that I can't access any PC Remote Desktop - I use the Security Center as the outer side, with ports 80, 443, and 3389 server open. The use of the customer to view I can connect authenticate and see available pools, but I can't actually connect to the pools. In the event database, I see that there is a failure of the audit for each time I try to connect, saying "failed to connect to machine using RDP. I have only one IP address to connect to the outside, and I made sure everything refers to the correct IPs. Also, I checked that tunnel is on.

  An easy thing to do is to simply connect to the Security Server, then check you can RDP into one of VDI desktop.

• Hey everybody!  I'm at your mercy!  Desktop version will not redirect to the phone application.

  Ok.   I am tired.  I designed a site www.aliciastecklercounseling.com for the first time in MUSE.  For the design of the phone, I have designed a temporary site only give vital information on how to contact her.  Stayed up to design the site, worked all night all day and wham! Load the new site!  Wow!  A impressed.  NOT!  On my iPhone it says "Under Construction".  Not even the temporary site, I put in place.  I spent the last 4 hours trying to find out what is happening.  I missed something?  I went to my hosting site and verified the files.  First of all, I saw that there was only one "/ page template" which registered as a template.  Really?  Then I went to the phone file and he also says tpl after each file name.  After texting their CAT that they finally did answer, I ended up deleting all my files and started from scratch.  Now, all the files of the phone have a .php extension.  I don't know if it is correct or not.   I finally got the version of phone to work.  I have not designed a site for the Tablet - only phone and office.  I guess it would help if I have an iPad as well as to consult different size screens.  At least something now appears. Thanks for responding.

  We strive to disable access to the local drive and the only way to it is by loading the models of global policy of VMware in our Active Directory.  We did tis and the Active Directory team ensure that the vms and the user are policy assigned to them. However VMware policy I never see in the local politics of the vmwhen I have VMware view connection.

  We disable the local drive and obivous still see them.  Any who do know another way of disabling the local disk access or know what I could do bad on the setyp of world politics.  It did not work on version 3 or 3.0.1

  disable the local disks of VMware strategy within the ADM file (client.adm) affects customer theView. So, this means that you must apply the policy to the connected device and is a member of an actress Directory domain. It is also a political base user and should be set to the OU where the user account is in or granted to the user.

  If you want to control at the peripheral level (agent, Virtual Office) based readers, you must use the Active Directory policy for this.

  In the screenshot below, there was no policy applied:

  

  Now, I put the standard Active Directory policy. This rule is computerized and must be applied to the OU where the virtual office resists in.

  HI - been looking for forums to answer this question-, while others have had trouble with this question in particular their variables were different.

  While accessing the site on a laptop, it redirects incorrectly on the site of Tablet instead of the desktop version.

  Only, I encounter this problem when you try to access the site via a computer touchscreen laptop Acer with Chrome and IE.

  When can I access the site via my Macbook with any browser no problem.

  The site is hosted by Business Catalyst.

  Any ideas? Is the touch screen the variable? Can I change the redirection script even if I download the site within the Muse in BC?

  A customer asked me to add a mobile version of their site, which has been done.

  Now, they are asking for a redirect button view the Office website so that people can access the full content if they want to.

• Downloaded 8.0 and now can't access working library as it redirects to the proxy of my uni?

  After a series of accidents when the hotmail and gmail, I received a message to download Firefox Setup 8.0, which I finished yesterday. This solved my problems of e-mail. However, I have now tried to access my e-library work, but despite being on the right site with all the macros OK journal, when I click to go to the electronic library (which should give me), direct entry I find myself being diverted to the proxy of my University Library, which (of course) does not give me access to my library of work. I use Zotero, which helps to provide an answer to my problem. Any ideas how I can fix this problem?

I will keep this in mind - I only checked to have downloaded Firefox Setup 8.0 (2) .exe (which I happened to find sitting in the toolbar, and it's not because I've been invited to download). This seems to have solved now redirect to a server incorrect proxy - the only thing that remains to be done is to find why I have a blank page when I get redirected to the correct e-library! I will contact the administrator of this site. Thanks again for your suggestion. I will certainly use it if I have more problems.

  I'm trying to install Skype on a PC field with redirected folders and the installation crashes with

  "Invalid drive H:\. "then code 1603.

  It is a portable Windows Pro 8.1 with all updates. My Documents and the office are redirected to the H: drive with offline files enabled and it is currently connected to the network.

  I installed with the MSI of Skype version and installation is perfect.
