Impossible to reinstall Bluetooth on Satellite R830

Satellite R830-1ES
Part #: PT32LE-01R00CEN
Op Sys: Win Xp SP3

Had to uninstall Win7 and install Win Xp so compatible with worksystems.

Everything except Bluetooth installed. Installation driver Proset, Bluetooth stack support centre (BT-stack - Toshiba.zip).

Once I launch the bluetooth utility he said installing the bluetooth drivers, then asks me to connect my device. I obviously can't because it's one-piece pre-installed, I guess that comes with the card wifi of the motherboard and prob?

Anyone has an idea on how to proceed?

Concerning

Large. ;)

Good news.

  • Bluetooth on Satellite R830

    Hello!

After recovering to Win7 x 64 of the recovery partition, I did some cleaning system of useless programs, but in the heat of the moment I also removed bluetooth support.

Now, I try to reinstall the drivers. I had downloaded BT-stack-64 bit - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/index.php?page=download-toshiba toshiba.zip and seen RFBus error during installation.

After restarting in Device Manager, I saw some bluetooth devices, enable - disable hotkey worked right, but bluetooth actually not worked: all the toshiba bluetooths utillities answred me this 'Bluetooth device is not ready ".

Of couse I had checked, if it enabled in BIOS - it enabled.

Should what drivers I install to my laptop and operating system? I found "toshiba bluetooth stack" and "filter bluetooth driver package". Even if both are installed - not yet working bluetooth. So strange...

  • Satellite R830 - 1-1 and Win8.1 - Bluetooth seems to have disappeared

With "upgrades" Windows 8 and 8.1 (do not do it at all!), my Bluetooth seems to have disappeared and Windows tells me to reinstall the drivers.

When I go to the page for download driver Toshiba support for my Satellite R830 - 1-1 (PT32LE-01V00CEN), I see 'Bluetooth filter package for Atheros Driver' and 'Bluetooth Stack Toshiba Windows 8 - Upgrade '.

My laptop has Intel wireless card as I guess all of this model have, so why is listed Atheros?

I'm afraid I have no idea what I need to install to get my Bluetooth works again. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    > My laptop has Intel wireless card as I guess all of this model have, so why is listed Atheros?
Because different models of Satellite R830 supports different Wlan cards from different manufacturers.

    > I'm afraid I have no idea what I need to install to get my Bluetooth works again. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Your laptop supports the network adapter Intel wireless (with feature of BT). For cards Intel WLan no Bluetooth filter package must be installed.
In your case its just to install the Intel Wlan driver, battery Toshiba Bt and the Toshiba system driver

  • Satellite R830 and Windows 10 question webcam

The Microsoft Upgrade Advisor said that my Satellite R830-182 would be allowed to switch to Windows 10, so I made the leap. Everything works fine, except the webcam of Toshiba. Device Manager States "the drivers for this device are not installed (code 28)" and click on "update drivers" is futile.

The Toshiba site looking for an updated driver, I found that this model is not in their models supported for Windows 10, despite the advice of Mrs.

Anyone know if there is a way around this problem (another pilot?), or it is impossible to get this webcam works in Windows 10?

I just installed Windows 8.1 Professional 64-bit, got the ISO from Microsoft MSDN Academic.

I also downloaded Toshiba Upgrade Assistant from the support Page and it has installed almost all the drivers and software from Toshiba (for my Satellite R830 - 16K).

    Hello

The Toshiba UE driver page provides the package upgrade to win 8.
It s for 8 Win, NOT Win 8.1
This is why some tools and utilities may not work properly.

But look: If you use Win 8 (not quite sure to win 8.1) very important is the driver of Toshiba system installation.
Such driver Toshiba System can be found on the page of the Toshiba driver too.

By the way: make sure display driver is installed

  • Satellite R830 - Windows 8 - Fn keys do not work

I made the mistake of upgrading to Windows8 with special offer included with my Satellite R830.

When I got all the workers, my key (Flash cards) functions worked.
I use these a lot to adjust the brightness, turn on and off Bluetooth (but how I never really find - I just continues to support on until I get the result I want) adjustment volume etc etc.

Something happened and I lost the function keys.
I ran the Toshiba Upgrade Assistant that was a ridiculous download of the massive amounts of data and holding still.

I searched and searched and I've tried everything "solutions" that I could find.
I downloaded and installed the Flash cards, but that doesn't seem to be available.
I downloaded and installed the value (from the window of Windows 8 "drivers").

But there is no mention of Flash Cards in that.
I downloaded and installed the function keys, but allows only four keys, that which none that I use.

I find that my first Toshiba, being one of the most frustrating PC that I have ever owned.
The "bloatware" is amazing in its volume and its contents.

Each element seems to have been designed by a Committee.
The problem is, each of them seems to be another Committee. Confusing and mostly unusable.

My hair is thin, as it was torn so many times with this laptop.

I hope someone can help me get my function keys to work with Windows 8 x 64.

By the way, on the question of Bluetooth:-I lived a massive loss of speed on my Wifi Internet. I turned off Bluetooth and the problem disappeared.
But now I can't turn it on again when I need it!

    Thank you!

    Hello

Let's hope my advice will be able to help.
First of all, you can find driver Win 8 on the Toshiba UE driver page.
You must choose the Satellite R830 PT32LE - upgrade of Windows 8 section

Now you need to download and install:
-Value Added Package 1.6.0130.640205 (this is for 64 bit)
    -Driver Toshiba system
    -Toshiba utility function of key

Finally, restart the device and test your function keys

  • Satellite R830: Question about power for battery usage options

    Hello world

I recently bought a R830-182 (detailed configuration below).
I had to update Windows 7 Home Premium Ultimate because I need to use it on my university network.

My University gives us an upgrade to windows 7 ultimate edition, but I had to do a clean install (from inside Windows 7 Home Edition, copy the upgrade you can do).
The key, with what they gave me would not work with the Windows anytime upgrade utility.

I think that I have installed everything that I need to get the laptop to work, but I'm not sure of the configuration of the battery. The cooling fan seems to be always on, and when the battery reaches 100% charge that he also said that he is in charge.

    My questions are:
    1. is there another program I have to install to allow the computer manage settings of the battery?
    2. do I need to change some settings in the power options?
3 should. what settings I change in power options?

    Any help would be welcome
    Kind regards

    Hello

I just bought the headset Plantronics M50 and try to pair it to my Satellite R830.
I installed the latest drivers for Bluetooth from Toshiba, but I'm not able to see the helmet in my PC.

I've seen drivers Bluetooth (version 8.00.12) documentation and they must have the headset profile.

  • Satellite R830 - issues Wifi

I needed to change the security on my router settings. But something weird happened on my Satellite R830 running Windows 7 64-bit with card I Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230.

When I right click on the WiFi option 'Properties' usual (where I would normally change the security settings) is no longer there.

I deleted the connection in "Network & Sharing Center, Manage Wireless Networks", in the hope that Windows was asking me new settings, the next time that I am connected. But that did not help.

I've changed the SSID but Windows has always tried to connect without having to apply the security settings.

When I click on "Manage Wireless settings, add, manually create a network profile", nothing happens. No window to set up the network.

I tried two system restores, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers wifi (older and newer drivers), trying to do all this mode without failure, support network, all to nothing does not. I stopped all the loading of bloatware and disabled my anti-virus.

I am at a loss, but also end of my mind. Please help me restore sanity! Thank you.

    It is really strange.

I hope that your wireless network card is installed (listed in the Device Manager) and active properly.
What you can try is to start preinstalled ConfigFree. It is the small utility Toshiba.
Click with the left button of the mouse on the symbol ConfigFree and choose the RADAR option.

Radar must detect all available wireless networks. Is nothing detected?
If this isn't the case, I guess there is a problem with your router. Check the settings and do not forget the option WLAN is enabled.

Please test this and send feedback.

  • Satellite R830 - reset password

    Hello

I have a Satellite R830. As I closed it down an opinion seems to say keep until finished updates. At the end of the updates, the laptop closed and then restarted. PASSWORD of the screen when it is restarted on a black background: _ appears with the blinking cursor. I tried all the passwords I can think of including the administrator password. Laptop stops after three attempts. Any ideas of what password is required and if there is a safe mode to restart?

    Thank you very much

PASSWORD of the screen when it is restarted on a black background: _ appears with the blinking cursor.

    Sounds like a BIOS password.

But to be honest, the story seems really strange to me... I never read the BIOS password which could be resolved automatically during the update of the system...

However, if this is a BIOS password and if it is unfamiliar to you, well, then you will be needing additional assistance of authorized person... authorized service provider is able to remove unknown BIOS password.

  • Satellite R830 - HDMI port does not work

    Hello

Is there a driver for the HDMI for the Satellite R830 port?
It is no longer connects to a TV.

I tried different TV but still nothing.
Also there is no HDMI in under the control panel Device Manager, should there be?

Thank you very much for any help or advice.

    Hello
I put t know what Windows system that you use on this laptop, but the driver HDMI isn't available from the HDMI port driver is part of the system and should be recognized automatically.

Capacity Audio HDMI you need to install the right audio driver and should allow this in Control Panel-> sound-> playback device

HDMI (digital out) would be not listed there, right click and choose:
Show devices disabled, view hidden devices.

Usually the HDMI connection isn t very delicate. Everything should run automatically.
Connect both devices with a HDMI cable.
Turn on the TV, then the computer.
Now, use the exit function FN (key) video combination in order to get to the video (HDMI).

Note: the correct HDMI channel must be selected on your TV

    All that s

    Hello

I'm looking to get my hands on a small part for my laptop Satellite R830 - 1 L 7. The part is the protector of small silver hinge there are two on the laptop; one on the left and one on the right, just below the screen. One of mine came loose and was lost, and the sons are now dealt with under.

It would be great if someone would be able to help me find one, and I'll give you as much information as I can, if anyone thinks that they will be able to help.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello
You mean the screen hinges or hinge protector?
However, I assume that the two parties could be ordered in local Toshiba authorized maintainer.
Accredited maintainer will be able to order all the compatible parts for your laptop, and from my point of few, this is the best place where you could make any order the part.

  • Questions from the screen and keyboard on Satellite R830-181

    Hello

    I had exactly the same problem with it;
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=280934

I also explained what is it and how it over time in this topic.

To sum up; my screen and keyboard do not work in my Toshiba Satellite R830-181, 13.3 '' laptop.

    My questions;
    1. is it a motherboard problem?

    2. as it runs on an external monitor, I guess that the graphics card or processor is fine.
There is no damage on the screen, so I guess there is a problem with the connection of the power supply to the screen.

If I buy a new screen I have my doubts it will work.

I'll probably send it to the service tech in my country (hard to find here reliable technology services Toshiba), however, I would like to know what may be the cause and if I can fix it myself.

What do you think guys? It is a power issue or a problem with the monitor itself?
If a power issue or something else rather than the screen, how can be fixed?
Same question applies to the keyboard.

    3. If I repair or fix myself, you think it will happen again? Because I think that this could be a faulty laptop computer of a certain series of production since someone else has experienced the same thing with this model.

can 4 - there be a relationship between the non-functional keyboard and screen?

    5. If this can be resolved with a replacement of the screen, that I need to find a laptop screen Toshiba R830 or I can buy any 13.3-inch screen?

As far as I know this model is not supported by the company more, so it is quite difficult to find a screen R830.
It is difficult to find a 13.3-inch screen, anyway, but still, if I can use the screen of another model which would ease my problems.

I need an idea on that.
    Thanks :)

    > 1 - is it a motherboard problem?
Not easy to say: If the external monitor works correctly then this isn't problem chart/motherboard.
The external USB keyboard works properly, if not motherboard problem too.

    > 2 - because it works on a monitor external I guess graphics card or processor is fine.
    Yes, that's correct.

    > If I buy a new screen I have my doubts it will work.
I do not recommend to buy the new parts before the defective parts has not been verified.

    > I'll probably send it to the service tech in my country (hard to find here reliable technology services Toshiba), however, I would like to know what may be the cause and if I can fix it myself.
Good idea to send it to Toshiba service partner since the guys would be able to control parts and fix it.

    > What do you think guys? It is a power issue or a problem with the monitor itself?
If a power issue or something else rather than the screen, how can be fixed?
    > Same question goes for the keyboard.

Don t think someone can tell exactly what's causing this according to me its just a bad luck material can start malfunction happens in every possible branch of industries (TV, computer, smartphone, cars)

can > 4 - there be a relationship between the non-functional keyboard and screen?
No, the keyboard is only connected to the motherboard, display is also connected to the motherboard, but there is no connection between the keyboard and the display.
