Impossible to uninstall Flash Player 9.0.45.0

I use Opera as my default browser and have problems due to Flash Player 9, I get debugging errors, etc. for several sites who are not Flash based, but apparently Flash elements on them. I tried all the steps listed on the Adobe site (launch uninstall, delete files in several folders, etc, then reboot), but when I come back to the help page to check the status of my Flash drive, I see that Flash player 9.0.45.0 works still! I even went in the registry, in an attempt to remove the back of Versions without danger as suggested in another thread of support, but there is no record of Versions without danger in my registry. This problem hangs my browser and is extremely frustrating. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Hi Pat,

I have a very similar problem as Bruce for my opera Flash Player ver.9 cannot be uninstalled to allow the most recent flash player version 11 install and replace the old version. I followed all the steps in Adobe help downloaded by the program uninstaller to uninstall Flash Player and even using TuneUp Utilities 2012 program to remove all Opera related records after uninstalling Opera. Hoping that it will be a clean boot to install the latest version of Opera version 12.01. After having installed the clean copy of the opera, and then installed the Flash Player 11, a message indicates that it is installed successfully. Returned to Adobe and always check for the version of flash player installed in Opera, at the poster version 9.0.45.0.

OS: Win 7 (32-bit)

Found NPSWF in C:\Program Files\Opera\program\plugins

Then the use of facebook in the opera, the following error messages kept popping up:

VerifyError: Error #1033: entry Cpool 38's bad guy & ReferenceError SoundPlayer Variable #1065 is not defined.

When you sign in to gmail, the following errors popped up and hanged and then Opera. Forced closure is necessary:

: Error #2099: the loading object is not sufficiently loaded to provide this information to the flash. Display::loaderInfo/get charger [to com.google.uploader]... [FailUploader$ init]

Error #2044: Unmanaged by the IOErrorEvent: text = Error #2036: never has finished loading.

Hoping that the photos and the information above can help you to tickle the problem to the opera.

Look forward to your good news!

    Hello

We did some testing with the latest version of flash and poses a few problems, I wonder if this happens to other people and if there is a way to solve.

The problem does not occur on a 32-bit system, only a 64-bit system.

    Windows 7 Pro with IE8.

    Install using flash: install_flash_player_11_active_x_64bit.msi

Go to the 'about' page - Flash shows an appropriate version of flash is installed.

Go to uninstall a program and uninstall Flash Player.

    The entry disappears.

Then I go to the 'about' page - Flash still shows flash is installed! (current statement version)

Still have files in the following folders:

    C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash

    > Flash64_11_1_102.ocx

    > FlashInstall.log

    > FlashUtil64_11_1_102_ActiveX.dll

    > FlashUtil64_11_1_102_ActiveX.exe

    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash

    > Flash11e.ocx

    > FlashInstall.log

    > FlashUtil11e_ActiveX.dll

    > FlashUtil11e_ActiveX.exe

If I run C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil64_11_1_102_ActiveX.exe and click on uninstall, the uninstall is successful.

Anyone know what is happening? Adobe accidentally release a broken product or is it just us?

Any help or info is appreciated.

My, if I start to make the bug on Adobe products reports that I can never return to mental health. I found exactly the problem with the 11.1.102.55 64-bit package that requires him to uninstall ARP while leaving everything behind, including the Add - ons Flah.  The CustomAction in the 64-bit MSI installer that runs if DELETE = 'ALL' is trying to run the FlashUtil64 program that is installed with Flash Player.  Problem is your team of the installer has changed the name of this program at any given time and I forgot to change the CustomAction to run the new program name.  Don't have no test actually uninstall it until Adobe released this version?  I will be fixing my installation with a couple of simple transformations to set the CA.  Happy Thanksgiving to the Installer (uninstaller?) at Adobe team.

  • Impossible to uninstall Flash player - Mac OS x 10.6.8

I try to uninstall flash for Safari on my Mac and have downloaded the uninstaller from Adobe tool and ran it several times. In each case the program tells me that flash has been successfully uninstalled. I also deleted the cache files in system folders in accordance with the instructions in this tutorial.

However subsequently when I go to the detection page from Adobe still says I am running version 22.0.0.192 and if I visit youtube or CNN and start a video, make a right click on it will bring up options menu flash again telling me I'm on version 22.0.0.192.

Whats up with this, and then how the hell I get removed flash from safari? (Note that I still flash of pepper enabled on Chrome, which is my main browser)

    Hello m_vargas,

What are the chances, but this second suggestion was correct. Somehow the plugin has been in the other library/Internet Plug-Ins folder. However, the plugin had an (original) at the end of the file name for a reason any. I deleted this plugin, rebooted, and flash is not active on Safari.

Thanks for your help and suggestions thereon,

    See you soon

  • Impossible to uninstall Flash Player completely.

For several days, I try to uninstall the Flash Player in order to re-install again. However, I am unable to uninstall completely. The "flash 10b.ocx" file always remains in C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash. Because I tried several times I now 4 files: "flash 10b.ocx" ' "flash .ocx 10B (2) ', ' flash .ocx 10B (3)" and "flash 10 b (4).

This situation slows down my computer (laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium) considerably at the Start Up!

I also tried several times to uninstall by using the official removal tool and close all applications, such as indicated in the instructions. Without success. 4 "flash 10b.ocx" files are still there. Even if I'm the administrator I get the notification that I am not allowed to delete these files.

On the instructions on removing the Flash Player it is also indicated that I should check the Windows system tray to see if there are any open application used by Flash Player. But I don't know what is the Windows system tray or where to find it. And even if I did, I don't know what to look for and how to act.

    Can someone help me please!

    Thank you

Have you tried to uninstall this download page http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157_fr ?

BTW, the system, or systray status bar, is the notification on the lower side area right of the desktop.

PS, you may need to restart Windows in order to get some deleted dll/ocx files.

    Hello

From Windows 8 Microsoft embeds Flash Player in the browser.  This includes Windows Server 2012.  For this reason, Microsoft locks the permissions on files to prevent users to erase files.  Microsoft does not provide a standalone installer of Flash Player for IE/Edge on these platforms and all updates from Microsoft via Windows Update.  By force to unlock the file and forcing the removal of the file you probably made your system unable to re - install Flash Player because there is no separate standalone installer for Flash Player on Windows Server 2012.  If you do not need Flash Player on this system, which is not a problem.  But if you need Flash Player on this system, you can, or can be not, be able to reinstall it.

How can I uninstall Flash Player in Yosemite 10.10.3?

    Yes.

Click on the link that says:

  • Uninstall Flash Player 13.0.0.206 after the installation of 15.0.0.223?

It's really weird.  Maybe I'm missing something.  I installed the new version of Flash Player, 15.0.0.223 and installed it correctly, but the uninstall program does not remove the 13.0.0.206 version.  I tried to uninstall manually and it worked only on the local computer, but when a user logs in the field it shows that it is installed.  When I log in as a user after giving them local administrator rights, I still can't it uninstalled.  In fact it comes up with a dialog box telling me that I need administrator rights to uninstall.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Does anyone have an answer for this?  I'm stuck.

My understanding is that the '5' here is an error code indicating that the uninstall program had no permission to delete these files.

    0003 [W] 00001015 C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil64_15_0_0_189_ActiveX.dll 5

    0004 [W] 00001015 C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil64_15_0_0_189_ActiveX.dll 5

    0005 [W] 00001015 C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil64_15_0_0_189_ActiveX.exe 5

    0006 [W] 00001015 C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil64_15_0_0_189_ActiveX.exe 5

If you have downloaded and run the latest installer available, then it is probably that the registry keys associated with Flash have been corrupt.

    Uninstall Flash Player | Windows

You can certainly try blowing C:\windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\ and then try uninstalling/reinstalling, but I think you'll always see these registry entries.

You can try to remove them from regedit, but I think that you will probably get permission denied, even with admin rights:

    \Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHIINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia

Of course, any good advice on backup, by defining the restore points and you take your data and/or the stability of the system in your own hands is in effect when editing the registry.

  • How to uninstall Flash Player 9.0.124.0 v.?

    I use Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit.

Secunia PSI shows that I have two versions of the Flash Player installed: 11.6.602.171 (NAPI) and 9.0.124.0 (ActiveX).

I tried to delete v. 9.0.124.0 because it is an old, insecure version, but have failed.  I used the utility to Uninstall Flash Player available to:

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/uninstall-Flash-Player-Windows.html

and of course, to respect scrupulously the indications of paragraph 3 of this link.  Then I reinstalled v. 11.6.602.171.

As soon as I re - boot my laptop, Secunia PSI shows that c. 9.0.124.0 is back.  (It's a file named Flash9t.ocx located in c:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash.  I also tried to manually delete this file several times but it is re-created the next time I start up!).

Then... How can I get rid of v. 9.0.124.0?

I finally found how to solve the problem.

    * I deleted the file (Flash9t.ocx located in c:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash)

    * I did a clean boot by following these instructions: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 and discovered that the program that is causing the Flash Player 9 ActiveX to be recreated every time that I boot is

called (AsScrPro.exe, v. 1.0.0.9) ASUS screen saver protector, located in c:\Windows\.  Carefully follow the instructions in "How to determine what is causing the boot problem.

    * I downloaded Autoruns (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx) and with whom I unchecked the entry "ASUS AsScrPro ASUS c:\windows\asscrpro.exe screen saver protector".

While it doesn't automatically load at startup.

    * I ran Secunia PSI and it confirmed that Flash Player 9 ActiveX disappeared!

  • I uninstalled flash player and impossible to reinstall

I had problems reading of streaming videos and decided to uninstall and reinstall flash player. I am running XP SP3, so I used the Add/Remove programs and uninstalled. Now, I can not re - install. I passed on the adobe site (http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/) and chose to install the drive via Firefox, but it failed and proposed a manual installation. Clicking on this link puts me on the adobe site, but by selecting the download button sends me to a page of advertising for other adobe products and no download occurs. I ran Internet Explore to see if I could download the file and Firefox recognize, but while it shows 'Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX"in the list of installed programs, Firefox doesn't know any difference. Any suggestions?

A virus does not appear to be the problem. I have not been able to install from the adobe web site, but I did a search for the executable flash player downloaded and executed directly. This approach was implemented to me. Thanks for the help.

  • Uninstalled Flash Player, tried to install again the FP, but my old password was not accepted.

Later, I created a new account. Then I received an email from Adobe to confirm my account, open the installer again but it is still impossible to connect it with my new account and password. What is going on? Does anyone have an idea what I could do?

If you are being prompted for a password to install Flash Player, it's the operating system, NO Flash Player which is asking to specify the password.  Credentials to use would be what you use to connect to your system (with administrator privileges).  See the what userid & password I need to install Flash Player?  FAQ for assistance.

  • Impossible to update flash player

Using Windows XP, Firefox 39, desktop PC. I also can't update the latest version of flash player (18.00.209) after MANY attempts. Installation stops at about 50% and then he said: "the Installation failed. I tried download from different sites, that you have disabled the protection against viruses, closed windows browser etc... and get the same results each time. The installation is NOT complete; as a result, I am stuck with the 18.00.203 vulnerable vs, which Firefox has disabled unless I allow it. I am very uncomfortable allowing my 18.00.203 flash player with security issues; However, many sites I visit use flash. I see on this forum, people who know the same update problems; Therefore, it must be a problem on the end of Adobe. I'm so frustrated and would be grateful for any help. I feel that I was in a circle of hell with the directions of installation, all that I have followed closely. I usually put the same installation troubleshooting pages over and over again still no resolution. It's my first time here, so, maybe someone has a solution. Please, I beg you!

Finally, success in updating Flash - a complete accident, but I'll take it! First of all, I checked for malware/viruses...no problems. Then - and this is what seems to have done - I restarted my computer (in general I leave all the time). As soon as he started, I went to FF to 'check updates plug-in' and I saw that Adobe Flash has been miraculously updated! I went to a few flash pages, everything works. At no time during previous attempts to install I was warned to re-boot. Just the installation process stops at 50% and then says 'Impossible' (without reason). I don't know yet why a 'failed' facilities took after a reboot, but this is what must have happened because I did not seek another installation after reboot - was not necessary.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your suggestions and admonitions to update at least to Windows 7. Need a new computer so I didn't want to waste her time with this one (7 years) just get up and keep this as the storage offline and photo processing. He is a computer to measure, the best I've owned and the more stable with my XP. Yes, I know it's time to say goodbye to the old stuff. The small computer shop that built it won't even install Win 8 unless customers insist - they install 7 because it is easier to use and more stable according to them. So you see, it is difficult to rip away from wrong platforms Windows XP users. Maybe they'll have learned something to win 10 - I even Apple due to the terrible browsers that Windows has imposed on us. I don't mind the change, if it's good change.

In the meantime, I'm HAPPY to finally have a flash player update, at least. I met their requirements, so it wasn't my XP that was the question, because that is supported with the new flash. I'm really grateful for the wonderful offers of help in this forum. Try to reboot to others as a possible solution.

    Sincerely,

    Donna

  • How to uninstall Flash player in silent mode using command line

I have hundreds of machines Windows 7 I want to uninstall Adobe Flash Player in silence, without the intervention of the user. I have read several forums, saying to use the silent switch with uninstall_flash_player.exe in a command prompt, but it does not work. If I go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash and run the file FlashUtil64_18_0_0_194_ActiveX, it comes with the following message is displayed:

    FLASHUNINSTALLPROMPT.png

If someone had made the silent uninstall before and ready to pass on this knowledge, it is greatly appreciated!

As I do this is to recover this file:

    http://download.Macromedia.com/Get/flashplayer/current/support/uninstall_flash_player.exe

Open a cmd window in the location of the file, and then follow these steps:

    uninstall_flash_player.exe - uninstall

That works 100% of the time for me. The uninstall program that adobe offers is really nice, unlike java where you have to throw a wmic complicated cmd to remove it.

    Hope this helps is?

either way, which will remove ANY drive of your machine.

also specifically for this one, it's FlashUtil64_18_0_0_194_ActiveX.exe - uninstall

  • Can not update nor uninstall Flash Player because of password

When I try to run the update to Flash Player, I wonder a password which I don't remember. I think it's because I have two accounts of Adobe, because the new password I created yesterday does not work for this purpose.

I thought that I uninstall the old version and then install a new one with the new account, but I met the same problem: you need to uninstall the password as well.

How can I get Adobe to merge all my accounts into one! There's even a separate password for this forum!

    Thank you.

The uninstall program removes any programs. I want to install Flash Player. How can I remove the Flash Player programs before installing Flash Player 9?
My environment is Windows 2000 Professional.

It looks like the uninstall program removes any programs. I want to install the Flash Player. What I would do.

The problem is resolved. After you run the uninstall program provided by Adobe, I downloaded Flash Player 9, and everything has been installed successfully.
