In a Captivate 7 project created from a PowerPoint presentation, any text animations do not play automatically.

I created a Captivate 7 project of a PowerPoint slide show, defining the advance slides automatically. There is a slide with animation of text (the text flies in) which plays in the Captivate timeline, but does not in the preview, or when the project is published - the blade stops, then must be clicked to get the animation to play and the slide advances. I do not see how this animation just play when the slide is displayed.

Someone at - it suggestions?

-Stuart

That animation is probably triggered during the click on the PPT. change this and update the CP file. It will work.

  • Flash animations will not play in Captivate 5.5

    Ahoy there

    We have recently updated to Captivate 5.5

    For some reason any incorporated flash animations will not play in CP 5.5 they play perfectly fine in preview mode of a slide in CP (F3), but will not play when I publish the project or get a glimpse of the output using F4.

    Flash animations are of different versions of Flash (3 CS, CS 4 and CS 5), and some use AS 2.0, some AS 3.0. The problem is valid for all .swf files

    Does anyone have an idea? This is starting to drive me crazy...

    Please let me know if I have to describe the issue in more detail.

    Hello and welcome to the forum,

    AS2 animations will not play in CP5.5 or 5.0, because it supports only AS3. To explain possible questions, allow us to wait for the Flash gurus, there is a problem with complex animations. Try a search with Google because the search of the forums is not functional at the moment, there are several discussions on this problem.

  • Project created after installing the new update for CP9 does not not on Web server

    We upgraded 2 computers yesterday with the new update for 9 Captivate and that they will not play on our web server.  We have completed the upgrade of projects work very well.

    New projects are working fine locally.  I had to open these on a computer that has not been to level again and then make a new project and copy the slides in the new draft and publish it.  Then it works on our web server.

    Hi Susan,.

    Can you check with your Web server administrator that the list of permitted such MIME type entry for json files?

    It is a necessity with the changes in the recent update to HTML5 runtime. Please let me know if that solves the problem.

    Thank you

  • Captivate 5: slides will not play automatically

    I am facing a problem with Captivate 5 (just starting to use it, in fact still a trial version but the full purchase in a few weeks) that I hope someone can help me with. I have a presentation of 32 slides with audio (imported by blade) and some animation boxes and setting highlighted on some slides. Animations and highlight boxes are synchronized with the audio. When I saw or publish it in format pdf, I noticed that it does not automatically play the slides. The audio starts automatically, but must press the play button to get the boxes/highlight to start animation timing. So if you press the play button 5 seconds after the start of the audio on a slide, and then the highlight boxes and animations will not match upward (they would be 5 seconds behind). In addition, the slides didn't automatically advances until you press the playback button (and the "timing" on the slide runs until the end).

    I thought it was something in terms of do not have autoplay, but I put it on auto run. I even played with having the preloader up to 0 to 100 just about everywhere in between. I also played with the settings of each slide to see if it was something in terms of the action of dragging out. I fixed to continue, and even updated no action (where I had to click on the next button to move forward), but then again, nothing helps.

    Also, where this is relevant, I have a next and back button each screen. On the first screen, I have a text entry box (I shoot the variable in another form), and the length of the blade is defined by the audio (a few seconds).

    What can I do to fix this? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Hello and welcome to the forum,

    What is the chronology of the first slide? I see not all objects, because you're talking about a text entry area that is not visible. What I see, is that you have a fade the first slide and the 2 buttons pause the slide to about 1.5 seconds after the start. The slide itself seems to be much longer than the audio, unlike what you said in your question, or you have an object much later? In this case, the problem is with the two buttons that do a break before this object. Could you post a screenshot of the full chronology of the first slide, maybe what you see is only linked to that?

  • First Elements 13: Mounting a WMV distilled from a PowerPoint... Can't see the Audio track

    I am someone help with what we thought would be a minor change task. We have a WMV file created from a PowerPoint presentation (and no, we don't have access to this old PowerPoint). We need to move some of the video autour, but leave the audio the same. When we added the media, we can see the video and hear the sound, but the audio is not on a track in the timeline panel.

    For some time I used the first. The answer lies in the conversion of PowerPoint to .wmv? Is this why we cannot see a separate audio track? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Richards_Daddy

    I hope this will be new to the program rather than a question of serious program concern.

    I am basing my optimism on your statement of "when we added the media, we can see the video and hear the sound, but the sound is not on a track in the timeline.

    What version of Premiere Elements are do you use and which operating system is involved?

    For now, I'm going to presume first items 11, 12/12.1, 13/13.1 on Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 64bits.

    In what specific workspace to the project are you? You are in the area of Expert work or fast.

    Fast working space is not a dedicated numbered audio track.

    If you are in space and quick work of his film, then go to the workspace Expert with his script numbered video tracks, audio tracks numbered, track of Narration and soundtrack.

    If this isn't the problem, then we can move on to other factors related to the issue.

    Thank you.

  • How to disconnect a Powerpoint presentation from a Captivate .cp?

    I am a new user to Captivate. I am using Captivate 4. I imported a powerpoint presentation into my captivate slides. I'm not sure what I did, but the presentation is connected through my captivate presentations. For example: while practicing, I created four presentations. If I change a .ppt slide in a captivate, changes to slides in the other three. How do I disconnect the PowerPoint of the captive?

    Also, I tried to import a new .ppt in a captivate and captivate will only open the old .ppt, even if I'm pointing to the new. Why is this?

    Thank you

    Condopoe

    You may need to change the link to the PowerPoint file so that it becomes incorporated instead of the bound.

    Here is the help instructions:

    Change the link type after importing the presentation

    1. Open the Adobe Captivate project in edit mode and go to a slide that was imported from the PowerPoint presentation.

    2. Click Edit PPT and select find presentation in library. When you select this option, the PowerPoint presentation that contains the slide is highlighted in the library.

    3. In the library panel, click on the presentation in the presentation file.

    4. Do one of the following:

      1. Select Change to linked if you have not linked to (embedded) the presentation during import. Specify a location for the file on your computer connected.

      2. Select Change to Embedded to embed the file related to your project.

  • Make another copy of the DVD from a DVD created from Windows Movie Maker

    My laptop was stolen recently and, with it, a slideshow (with audio) I had created on Windows Movie maker.  I have a disc I created after the completion of the project.  He plays very well on an external DVD drive.  However, when I download it on my new laptop or try to copy it to another disk, it does not copy as a movie.  It seems that it changes the formats and any copy I made will not play on an external DVD drive.  Is there a copyright protection or something embedded on discs created from Movie maker.  Any advice on how to make a playable copy would be appreciated.

    No copy protection is used.

    How are you trying to copy it?

    You will need something like roxio or nero and their software disc in copy, or import the movie in movie maker and then recreate the dvd disc again from scratch in your creation to dvd.

  • Problem with the files created from a template

    I've never had this problem before and I can't seem to understand how to solve this problem. I DW 8 and we have created a new Web site, and we have a cfm template root named root.dwt.cfm. Everything works normally when you change the code in the model, but when you go to edit the code in a file that you created from the template, all the text is black and it is not the code hints or anything like that. It's as if he doesn't know what kind of file is it or something? It is the first model that I created in DW 8, so is this some sort of bug? Is there anything I can try to check to understand what is happening? I am at a loss.

    Thank you!!!

    Too bad... I just understood what the problem was. Somehow, I left the beginning html tag. Once I put that in there, problem solved!

    Hello

    I am using Captivate 4. When I create a .exe of my captivate project file and run it to say slide 3, the next time I open the .exe - it connects the Traghetti where I left off (slide 3 in this case).

    Is there a way to make the project start from the beginning, whenever I run the .exe file?

  • "Project created by Adobe® Captivate® 5 ' flickering popup

    Hello!

    I have an old Flash file in which there is a clip where I call different Captivate files. The Flash file has been exported in a version of Flash Player 6. I tried to export a version of Flash Player 10, but it does not solve my files to captivate the problem, which were really old too, have recently been replaced by a version of Captivate 5 (and exported into Flash Player 10).

    When I open the HTML related to the Flash file, the entire animation of the Captivate flickers and there is a pop up box (shining too) in which it is written "project created bhy Adobe Captivate 5.

    I tried to re - export my HTML file too. I changed the domain to 'always' instead of "sameDomain" in arguments...

    I also tried google, but found nothing relevant.

    Thank you very much for your help!

    Can you let us know what was the version of Captivate in which it was originally created and published for Flash v6.

    Before Captivate 5, content was based on the Action Script v2 and Cp5 from it is AS3 only. Could be a possibility that the objects in your slides are not compatible.

    Yet you can try-

    Clicking on file - publish settings - size SWF and the quality and change to custom - Unchcek the advanced compression option.

    Make file - publish - use Flash Player 9 to publish this time - check the option Force republish all slides and check with different browsers if you are able to see.

    From the publication folder - launch HTM and SWF separately and check if either works?

    What is the content of your project? Do you have quizzes or animations or widgets any?

  • Control embedded Captivate SWF project

    I have a Captivate 8 project that use Flash based fund sovereign and Captivate swf embedded on the slides. I need to be able to insert a button following inside the SWF embedded which will control the project to go to the next slide. The progress bar and the following buttons have been removed from the PlayBar, because users must fill the SWF properly actions in order to move.

    If I understand correctly,

    you have used captivate to create your interactive exercise and published

    then you took the swf and embarked on one of the slides in captivate 'Voulu2 '.

    and now you want your exercise interactive, once completed, make the 'voulu2' to go to another slide

    If this is the case, you can add a flash button to the interactive exercise using the solution in the link I posted above to access variables with one major change... the determination of the scope of where to find the captivateVariables should be like this:

    FOR THE SOVEREIGN FUND DONE WITH CAPTIVATE

    captivateVariables = object (parent.parent.parent.parent.parent.parent.parent) .getMovieProps (.variablesHandle);

    and then just make a flash button to do this:

    someButton.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, isClicked);

    function isClicked(e:MouseEvent) {}

    var theSlideYouWantToGoTo = 2;

    captivateVariables.cpCmndGotoSlideAndResume = theSlideYouWantToGoTo - 1;

    }
