  If I've understood your problem, try this. Create a shortcut to "soundrecorder /file outputfilename.wav" (without the quotes).

  Then start soundrecorder via this shortcut and start and stop the recording, it will save so (hopefully) as a wav as before.

  I think the problem is, W7 soundrecorder, by default, saves to wma.

  If not, try a 3rd free part program such as Audacity (which seems like overkill, but should do the job).

  You say you have lost the tab "tool"?

  If so, just right click on one of the other tabs and select "basic" in the context menu that appears.

I have a totally useless feature that makes the barely usable machine.  The only way I found so far to recover the problem is to close everything and restart.

  It seems that Web services should be removed and added to clear the problem you are experiencing.

  To clarify, do you have a print when web services was activated the first time?

  If so, the steps to print out should go through the process of registering the printer to www.eprintcenter.com.

  In addition, make sure that the printer is on a network with Internet access.

  I'll give you the steps to get a fresh start with this printer.

  1. remove web services.

  2 enable web services.

  3. you may get a message saying no update available.  If this message appears, select ok.

  4. a new information sheet should be printed with a new code on this matter.

  5. visit www.eprintcenter.com.

  6. click on sign in to access your account.  If an account has not been saved, then click on the registration link which is at the top of the login page.

  7. a box asking the printer code once you are passed to the create an account or login.  The code can be found on step 2 of the print that was made earlier.

  8. click Next and save the default e-mail address or change a custom message address, which ends by @hpeprint.com.

  9. either select allow everyone or allowed sender only.  If the shipper is selected, and then enter the e-mail addresses you want to print from.

  10. click on save.

  The printer should now be listed in the www.eprintcenter.com with an email address of the printer.

  It should show connected and ready and be ready for ePrint!

  Please answer if you need help or if this does not solve your problem.
