• Multi-level list error

  I created paragraph styles so that I could create multiple levels of lists in a document.

  I put it in place as follows:

  1.0 level 1

  Level 2 1.1

  Level 3 1.1.1

  As I moved through the sections, I put in place so that the number has increased, such as 2.0, 2.1, 2.1.2. Everything worked great until I got to the section 11.8, and all of a sudden the numbers started to 1.0. I do not anything different than I did with the previous levels. I don't know what went wrong. I compared a proper format in the list window of the number with the wrong format and they are the same.  Any idea on what I can do to fix this error, or why it happened?

  I tried to recreate the paragraph style, then that is correct, but the sequence starts at 1.0 instead of 11.8 where it belongs.

  Always difficult to answer a question without seeing the actual assembly used for bullets and numbers. However, my first thought is that the numbered list style you use restarts at the beginning of a new story. Stories in InDesign are a series of images of text block. When you create a new series of images of text block, you could see your numbering with 1 new departure.

  To resolve this problem, you must define a numbered list that is configured so that it continues the numbering across stories, and you would combine this list with the styles to paragraphs in your document.

  Step 1 - all first define a new list:

  1. Choose the menu Type > numbered lists & balls > define lists.
  2. Click the new... button.
  3. Name the instance 'myNumbers' list, and then select "Numbers continue through stories".
  4. Click OK and click OK to close the dialog list box set.

  Step 2: then associate your list paragraph styles to the newly defined list.

  1. Find the paragraph (s) style in the paragraph Styles Panel.
  2. Select each style, then choose Options of Style in the Panel menu. The paragraph dialog box Options of Style for it opens select style.
  3. On the left, choose Bullets and numbers. Change the setting to [default] list (or according to what is selected it), to the list that you created in step 1.
  4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for each paragraph style.

• Problem of multi-level numbered list

  I have this situation:

  I work in book, with a separate document chapter.

  My chapter number is using digital Roman.

  I want to make my multi-level list (2nd, 3rd level and so forth) use this chapter number, as normal.

  But the result is: IV.1

  Instead, what I want is: 4.1

  Can I convert this digital Roman (IV) normal digital (4)?

  What is alternatives to the list multilevel numbering restarts in each chapter?

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Check out these 2 points:

  1 the document numbering options:

  Style (Document chapter numbering): must be set up as "1,2,3,4,...» »

  2. variable: chapter number:

  must be set up as "I, II, III, IV,...» »

  When you create your lists at several levels, simply add the chapter number symbol (^ H).

  It must be formatted as seen in point 1.

• How to preserve the multi-level iPhoto in Photos folder directory

  If you upgrade OS to Yosemite or El Capitan, how to preserve my folder customized Photos iPhoto multi-level directory? My iPhoto library is 105 GB and contains 41 000 photos, all carefully arranged in a directory of custom and subsidiary subjects.

  iPhoto (the beloved and only) has a great power in its ability to custom folders full of full of albums etc. subfolders directories several levels deep, with photos that can be duplicated in different albums, folder & file size info, etc. Unless this can all be kept in the Photos, there is no point me upgrading until Apple gets serious on the needs of demanding photographers, who want the custom control and want as their stuff protected in their hard drive and not on the cloud. Automatically generated 'events' and 'albums' are things of grandmother-and-the-children, useless for people like me. I need a custom control over making inventories of multiple folder levels based on my own custom categories, categories or undated events Apple thinks we should have. Home, school, family, travel, etc. just does not cut it!

  Someone really aware with this situation can help me get clarity? Promo stuff on pictures Apple responds to virtually none of my questions.

  I would like to begin by asking in the forum of Photos, but until you do, you need to specify your terminology. iPhoto offers events, Albums, and smart Albums for the organization. Thus, by "directories" I can only imagine say you you have files of records nested within other folders? If so, you can do with Photos. There is no need to use the features of cloud Photos. They are not mandatory in any mode.

  Regarding your comment, if you're a serious photographer why you use iPhoto? Make sure you used Apple app for photographers, it was called Aperture. Now for photographers you use applications 3rd party - Lightroom, Capture One etc.

  I have recently been design FP and have gotten to a scroll bar in a multi column list box.

  How can I change the decals and colors of the scroll bar as I can't seem to change or select all components of it within the control editor.

  I would change the arrow buttons and arrow the cursor with a custom sticker and have a solid track. In adition to that, I would like to change some of the symbols or add my own custom in the existing list.

  Is this possible to do?

  I don't think that you can customize parts of the scollbars.

  Here how to add symbols to a listbox control. The new index of symbols must last for 41 as the indices of standard symbols are included between 1 and 40. The size of your custom symbol must be 16 x 16.

  You can use the property of the listbox multicoum ' cell upper left Visible.

  If your listbox multicoloum is disabled you can put vertical cursors or something on the front and give the value of the cursor to the line/Coloum (vertical scrollbar) and Coloum for the horizontal scroll bar to the "cell upper left Visible.

  Sorry, I was not more clear.
  1. build the hierarchy of dimension attribule in a State of charge. then, in the second rule of load associate the basic dimension attribute

  2. run the two rules above in reverse order.

  If you automate this, you can do it in an import statement so you get only a restructuring (so it will look like it is built at the same time)

  The results of the selections multiple lists would be in the format has: b: c (that is to say, the values separated by semicolons), so your WHERE clause must use something like:

  Experts-

  I thought I found a solution to the numbering of the sets in a section, where the top-level step is number 1 after a heading. The test:

  1. Create a paragraph for the high-level steps style (as in a procedure step). I called the style level_2 (sic). It is based on the normal, with some indentation.
  2. Create a paragraph for the 2nd level stage (void) style. I called the style level_3 (sic). It is based on the normal, with some indentation.
  3. Create a multilevel list style, called MLL_style_1
  4. Associate level 2 paragraph style level_2 multilevel list style.
  5. Associate level 3 style list paragraph style level_3 at several levels.
  6. Associate the title 1 level 1 of the multilevel list style.

  The sole purpose of #6 above is to force styles Level_2 numbering is restarted. This seems to work:

  

  HOWEVER, I noticed a problem and a curiosity:

  • Problem: I don't want no numbering to appear before the header text 1. I can't find a way to make the numbering of level 1 of the MLL_style_1 property be nothing or null. When I delete all the text in space to change the Style, it reverts back to its default value < x >:

  

  So, do you have any ideas on how to do to remove the numbering of the heading, OR how to otherwise force the numbering of the first step to be 1.

  • Curiosity: The first element of heading 1 in the first picture above is the first occurrence of this paragraph style in the topic. However, it is auto-number 2. This seems to be due to the presence before the header of the paragraph styles that are associated with lower levels of the multilevel list.

  Any thoughts on why the first heading 1 start at 2?

  The last section (restart / continue numbering) explains how to restart list numbering in Mid-list.

  The 2% is the question of the first heading is numbered as 2 if there is no entry list. Support is to see if it is not a defect.
