• Why Adobe Muse is stuck while trying to merge changes made in the browser edition?

  My client contacted me this morning to let me know that one of his pages on its website was down and that it is urgent that it gets fixed. I immediately tried to open the Muse to merge the changes and re - upload the files. I did not work. Muse is stuck in the fusion of customer changes made in the browser edition. So, I called Adobe and have just spent two hours on the phone with a representative of Adobe Muse trying to solve the problem. It reaches point merger/day 2/3 of the files then crashes. The representative asked me to update to Muse that I did and again tried to merge the changes, and it did not work. Then, the representative asked me to change the Preferences of Muse folder in the library of 'old' then I was instructed to uninstall Muse and re - install on my computer. I did it. It still does not. Then the representative asked me to create a new user on my computer. What? Which makes no sense at all. When I asked to speak to the level 3 technical support, I was told that no one was available, but that she would have a supervisor call me back in a few minutes. I'm still waiting for a callback.

  For my client's site is not down, I decided with the permission of my client to not merge the changes she made and simply re - download the file I recorded previously.

  Can you get it someone please let me know how to solve the problem with ability to Muse to merge updates so that the next time this happens, I'm not wasting two hours on the phone and still not return the right answer or a call from Adobe? Gets a little frustrated by the lack of product support. Thank you.

  First of all, I apologize for bad support experience you had. I forwarded this thread on the support Manager to take a look.

  It sounds like you hit a bug we have heard reports of the but have not yet isolated, when merging text. There are probably setting a text which, when trying to merge, plant Muse. Until fix us the bug, the best work around is to find this block of text (usually by clicking on merge on each change until it crashes in the Muse, sorry), restart Muse and then jump merger than one change. Afterwords, re-do the changes as part of this text by hand. I know this isn't a great work autour, but it should at least get you operational return.

  Last week, I got a trouble with this same site (opbarks.com) and have a frustrated customer, angry as a result. Restore things, here's what happened:

  Last week, when I open my file of Muse, I sometimes got a notice stating that the site had changed through the editor in the browser, and I agree to incorporate changes. However instead of the request for review and merge the changes, the window has very quickly to full synchronization screen.

  

  I thought that maybe site changes had been made and then cancelled or returned back to match what I already had so so no change despite the alert - or that Muse was just confused. So I continued to work on the site and published some tests I did with Wufoo forms. Unbeknownst to me, I had crushed my client did to two of its significant changes classes pages. Annex OpBarks Sweet Spot cottages Quakertown   and OpBarks calendar Little White Dog East Falls

  Before you crush me, my client had used in the browser edition to publish information for may and June classes. Because my Muse file has not been updated (because no changes were to merge), I published the outdated class dates and descriptions on my customer changes. First noticed my client (because one of his customers asked when she could run classes), she thought that maybe amended no had not stuck because she forgot to hit publish them in the browser - then blamed editor itself. While she paid his assistant to redo the changes and they both checked the site online to ensure that may and June were posted. They have been. They don't have to tell me about it and it wasn't until they looked back a day later and seen their changes went even once they contacted me to help solve. Turns out that the dates of their endangered changes coincided with the time Muse told me the site changed, but had then no changes to show me and I had published it. Beyond technical frustration and overtime costs, my company customers was hit - registration was non-existent because customers could see only old and outdated classes.

  
  

  Temporary workaround: now that we have understood what the problem was (bad timing), my client is pay me to make any changes directly in the Muse and publsih until we can trust the synchronization again. Of course, we could continue to use the editor in the browser and if I get a alert Muse change, but no change to merge I will not post and he will ask my client if she has made changes. But it does not solve much - I have no way to get my Muse folder to update without doing manually what is already done in the browser.

  In case it helps to solve the problems, I am totally up-to-date on Muse software and faithfully were rename files .muse publishes in the browser do the merge (a solution that I read on a forum somewhere). I don't know what else to try. This is a link to the muse file that do not correctly accept the changes in the browser. Successfully, I got a change in the browser, I did to the homepage of bend in my file of Muse. BUT I can't get a small change, I did to OpBarks annex Sweet Spot Farm Quakertown able to trigger an alert in Muse that an amendment was filed and manually using file > synchronize with the web version displays a window that says no changes detected.

  Hi Janine.

  There are a handful of circumstances that may prevent the Muse of the merger successfully completed through editing in the browser changes. One of them is the invalid HTML markup on your page.

  This seems to be the case with OpBarks annex Sweet Spot Farm Quakertown

  Specifically, the HTML for the form at the bottom of the page is not valid. Do you remember how you got/integrated HTML?

• Help!  in the browser edition using third party host "530 Login." incorrect

  I'm putting in place in the browser edition for a company I designed a site for Adobe Muse.  The strange thing is that I really connected with his credentials and was able to change.  I sent him all the info and she can't get so I went to the log-in and I get this message:

  The user name and password are incorrect for your FTP server.

  Please check the and try again.

  Message from the server:

  "530 login incorrect."

  I went back and double checked everything.  I even created a new user of C-Panel on ipage and I still get the same message.  So very frustrating.

  Can you share what sites have this problem during the connection? If you don't want to share this in the public forum, you can use the "Get help" link in the upper right corner to change it in the browser to provide private with the team details.

  "The change in the browser" allows you to edit your websites hosted on third party hosting Service providers. Indeed, if your site is hosted on BC, then you need to sign in to your admin Panel and then BC edit it from there.

  But now I read:

  To use the editing in the browser, the site Web of the trial or alive must be hosted on the Adobe Business Catalyst hosting servers.

  Our sites our works on other hosts... is there a work-a-round, to use this function (temporaily accommodation on BC? I do not have an account in British Colombia)

  Your proposed around work can work. However, remember that the scope of the change in the browser is limited to static content only, such as images and texts. You cannot change any dynamic content such as slidehows, etc..

  As the change in the browser is not able to connect to the servers that are in the local/private networks, FTP host must be accessible to the public. Also, it will only work when published via "Upload to FTP host...". "that saves the additional details necessary for editing in the browser to the function"export HTML... ". "does not work.

  The FTP server configured for this site does not match the URL that you entered. Make sure that you use the download to the FTP host function in Muse to publish the site directly at the final location, and that connect you to edit in the browser with the same user.

  I started to try the browser capabilities in a third party to edition Muse 2014 hosting, but came up against a problem with synchronization of the changes in my file local .muse.

  I did a few test becomes the site via the editor in the browser and published for a living. Small text changes size only. After a disconnect, and then by opening the .muse file locally I do get the "Web version changed" dialog box and click on 'Revision '. I then expect to see a list of my changes to see again, but all that happens is I get the message "Synchronization complete" and that's all. No change is in the file, no list of changes and the files of my muse doesn't change so is not synchronized!

  I tried to turn and turn on "enable editing in the browser", but which made no difference. One got any ideas or have the same problem?

  As says Abhishek, he managed to talk me through the code problems that did not exist during the validation by the tool to "review and merge the changes.  All the faulty code was widgets from other suppliers for example trying to implement the google search on my site (HTML5 code invalid), put up a countdown Eventbrite (invalid HTML 5 code). I had to adapt or remove most of the code I've struggled to get consistent, so I have less functionality in my site, unfortunately.

  So, watch this only snippets of code include you in the HTML elements you add to your muse site coz there is a very good chance it will break the functions of 'review and merge the changes' in the browser.

  I also discussed that the synchronization process really needs to throw up a feedback when it does not work as otherwise, you work a lot in the dark. Great support but Abhishek! Thank you

  This will depend on what you change with change in the browser. If you use the same content of synchronized text on the desk and phone of layouts, and then updates all instances of this content. Images and ordinary text frames are not related through page/layouts, so you must update each separately.

  In the In-Browser editing page, you get an option to switch between phone and setting up office, as shown in the screenshot below.

  

  Your customer will have to separate the changes in two updates page and publish them.

  I tested it and I'm able to reproduce the problem. When I studied the issue further, I noticed that the URL has not changed when I clicked on the 'Calendar' button This is a known bug.   As a solution, please add the URL in the address bar when editing and modification in the browser works on this page as well. Or, you can try to remove any effect applied to this button.
