In the new version of Thunderbird I can't identify new messages (gmail) instantly as before.

On the left side appears a number that signals, I got a new message. Before also the message itself was marked in "BOLD". Now no more and I never, know where to look.
Any suggestions?

In addition, the whole conversation seems together in an email, as does ot in Gmail.
I chose Thunderbird in order to avoid this chaos, and Thunderbird now has the same functionality.
What should do? Let Thunderbird? Alternatives?

Have a nice day, Hodaya

Why not simply disable in gmail if you don't like it?

The setting is on this page https://mail.google.com/mail/#settings/general
