  I've implemented incontext editing and it works well, I noticed that if I change my model and download, all the stuff updated in the editable regions are lost of thought?

  It is the expected behavior. If you replace the page on the server with a local file, it will replace all changes made through InContext Editing. You should always download the latest version of the page of the server before editing it with Dreamweaver in order to avoid overwrite them changes through InContext Editing.

• Brand image InContext Editing

  I just started playing with the InContext Editing and think it would be a cheap tool for my clients as a CMS at low altitude of sorts. I look at the code behind the scenes and it looks like most of the gut, which are made in Flash, originate from your server. I was wondering if there was a way I could this tool for my colors and the logo of one of my style sheets? Is this possible?

  InContext Editing has been released and is currently "live". The service is free for a limited time.

  The link to the tutorial you are referring is on the http://incontextediting.adobe.com site, which is where you as the developer would administer your customer site. Your client would simply go to their own website and edit it from there.

  Regarding the re-branding or remove customization of the editing interface, I'll pass along your comments to our product team. Remember, as WebolutionDesigns pointed out, the 'courage' comes from Adobe servers - including management of users is managed via the Adobe ID account login.

  I have some difficulties to find up-to-date information about this option in Dreamweaver CS4.

  I tested this CMS"and I love it, love it.

  Now, ive read that payment for this service could be implent in the future.

  It is for this reason that I am not not it helps for the customers right now, because its not clear to me, what will happen in the future with this option.

  When and what fees this excellent option will be available?

  Will this be a fixed price for 1 designer, or by each webproject?

  Every month or year based? etc etc...

  I would like to see a price for this service if payment is going to be a requirement for use.

  or better yet make a 'free' service for people who want to make use of this fantastic feature

• InContext Editing several pages help needed

  I built a website for a client and gave them

  InContext Editing online access via the module. However, they / I can only change the home page.  When I navigate to a different page to change it, it opens a new window, with no ability to edit (I think that I'm always inside Incontext or I'm wrong). From there, I think I should make ctrl + e to bring in the editing part. However, when I try Ctrl + E / Cmd + E it does not provide editing capabilities at all. Nothing happens.

  I built the web using app div and then giving them across editiable incontext.  I downloaded the file includes / ice to the server.

  So, while I can edit and edit photos on the home page. For all other pages, I can't do the same thing. They have all the ediitble regions.

  Other that the "Home" page, there are only two other editable pages:' FAQ's ' and 'Contact' .

  CTRL-E displays InConext on all of these 3 pages. You should be able to navigate in the any of these 3 pages in InContext and edit them.

  Overlooking your panels to Spry tab on the "FAQ" page, I noticed that you'll probably run into problems with the editing on it.

  I have attached some documents different text with html code published as it should be for the panels. See the files at the bottom of this post on the forum

  Basically, you want to change EACH div TabPanelContent. If you want that the user is able to change the tabs themselves, then you need to wrap it with its own div and make it ice: editable as well. I noticed that each of the changes on text files. Look them over and see if that helps.

• Alternative to Dreamweaver for Incontext Editing library items? How to change the similar elements?

  I have a handful of items in the library that I use on my site to make it easy to update content repeated, for instance on every page there is direct contact.  These are the same on every page, so I used a library item to quickly update all the pages, when a change needs to be done.

  However, I have now started to use InContext Editing.  When I change the contact information on one page... it is not updated the rest of the pages.  Then, I went in the library item itself and tried to do as an editable region, but this isn't an option.

  I am a newbie to DW so any help would be greatly appreciated.  Can anyone suggest a technique in which I can update replicated bits of content on the entire site using ice?

  Sorry but there is no function like this available via InContext Editing.

  Tell us - you are the person using InContext Editing, or did you do that for your client?  If the first, then you would do well to drop the items in the library in favor side Server includes.  You know about them?

  It's exactly the same situation that if two people are working in a Web site. The updated version is on the server, not the one on your local machine. If you want to make changes to the direct file, you must download to your local computer so that you can change the version to date. Unless you do this, you simply wipe out the new data and replace it with the original file.

  One of the problems of InContext Editing is that it gives to inexperienced people (usually) the freedom to change web pages. Unless you set the InContext Editing rules very carefully beforehand, you may find yourself with the changes to page create an inextricable mess of code.

• Cannot create the new user account InContext Editing

  Whenever I try to create a new account or someone that I invited to be an editor or a Publisher tent, we receive an unnecessary error message that says: "there was a problem trying to create your account.»  Please try again. "This happens after you have entered the name, address of e-mail and typing in the image verification code and clicking"Create Account ".  Tried on IE, FF and three different computers, before and after the deletion of cookies.  Does anyone know what causes this?

  the InContext Editing service has expirenced some short downtime due to infrastructure problems and it is possible that you tried in the minutes...

  Hi, I'm looking forward to using the service "Incontext Editing" of Adobe to CMS.  However, I use Dreamweaver 8 worm and it seems that this service is only available for users of CS4?

  Although I will be upgrading to CS4 ultimately someone has any advice for a 'get autour "? Is there an extension "Incontext Editing" of DW8.. can .or I implement "Incontext Editing" simply by changes in HTML in "code view"?

  InContext Editing is based not only on the attributes of tags, but also on external files, which are generated by Dreamweaver CS4. You can download the trial version of CS4 and test InContext Editing in this way. However, using the files or InContext Editing for business purposes would be a violation of the terms of the trial and the conditions.

  InContext Editing will eventually become a paid service. I have no idea if the Dreamweaver CS4 property will be a prerequisite for the use of the service, but there is certainly nothing prevents you from using the service for purposes of assessment during your trial period. However, last time I checked, the free trial version was available only to residents of the United States. That might have changed.

  InContext Editing is intended for simple editing of web pages and does not include more advanced like those in Contribute user management features.

  The toolbars are still on display in your browser?

  If you still have the address bar, right click on any part that is not a text box or the icon, or if you do not like that of any space right click on the three horizontal lines on the right side of the address bar window. This should show some options, click on 'Menu Bar' and the tabs you are missing should appear.

  As a side note, usually if these options are missing, your icon of firefox in the upper left corner of the window should look different (being a rectangular button itself as opposed to an icon), and the 'file', 'Edition', 'Bookmarks', etc., are found after clicking on this button.
