• My CC InDesign crashes at launch

  Since today my InDesign crashes at launch. I'm working on an imac with OSX 10.10.2 retina. Yesterday it worked fine. Tried to start after restarting, connect and on peripheral CC, uninstalled, fonts Adobe usb al disconnected. InDesign still crashes at launch. It crashes after the return of new features appears. Does anyone have a solution or advice?

  No updates of any sort? New software installed? Nothing?

  Error messages? Have you tried trashing the prefs? (See replace your preferences )

• CC Illustrator won't launch

  CC Illustrator won't launch on my mac. I uninstalled and did a full download and re-install and it still won't start.  I don't not even up to the point where I get an error message.

  Indesign CS4 will not launch, but all other CS4 programs will be in Windows Vista, was a perfectly worked until mid-February, I spent two weeks dealing with Adobe support and finally , I ran 'Windows Install Clean Up' and restarted as requested on the phone call at adobe today, then ran "WinCS4Cleanupscript" who informed me that it was clean (or words to that effect) and rebooted. Did new install of CS4, when registering, I noticed that the shape of the Reg is pre filled and with my preferences, which was a little strange. Not after all that Indesign still doesn't start but is running. Please can anyone help.

  I think it's in the report to sort its software to prevent interference with other applications, and there is a post in this thread that indicates that the report is both aware of the issue and strives to overcome.

  I hope that Adobe itself would have picked up this problem by controlling at this forum, but other that add to the knowledge base for technical support, which I don't expect is something of a night or more to do, I don't see what else it would be supposed to do.

  Maybe if someone from Adobe monitors this problem they could chime in here and let us know what the position is. I strongly suspect that Trusteer may have been the reason why I couldn't have InDesign to run under Windows 7, and so I drove just shooting the game back to XP. I intend to reinstall W7 knowing that I might have to toggle Trusteer on and outside to run InDesign, but it would be useful to have some insurance or the other party that a fix is on the right track.

  In the previous thread, the report implied response he had the problem on his FAQ page. If there is I don't think.

  I said in the title.

       Problem solved - I used iChat and Adobe sent a link to re - install of CS5. I uninstalled InDesign then ran the Setup program.

  It's all good now and I have not to cancel the 2014 Photoshop / Lightroom upgrade.  Thanks for the reply. -Mark

• InDesign crashing on launch

  Repeatedly, my indesign keeps crashing when I try to launch it. I reinstalled, but no difference. I checked the forums and found InDesign crashes at startup on Windows this page, but the link it says click to download does not allow me to click on it. It highlights and such when I hover, but does not allow to click me and download and the cursor is exactly as if I'm hovering above ordinary text. If not, how can I fix?

  I had to contact support and let them take on my computer. But the problem is solved.

  I was happily using InDesign yesterday and is working on a large file from a remote server. All idle so an analysis it was unusable and I started having funny behaviours, such as not being able to select things. I finished by force he leave via the Task Manager. Since then, every time it loads, it will access interface but then freeze: do not click on menus, the window does not respond: just frozen (However the window never come with "No answer" as you would expect). Only way is to kill him via the Task Manager.

  A ctrl + alt + shift reboot several times, not good. Finally, I uninstalled, then reinstalled. Same thing. Abandoned during the day and I am now at home. Tried to uninstall and reinstall again and again the same thing. However, because I had the creative application cloud opening instead I clicked "Open" app. It opens up very well and I was able to work. Quit smoking, has launched from the taskbar, recent applications and by double-clicking InDesign.exe (all three are essentially the same thing) and I get a window does not respond. Open again via the app and no problem.

  Tried starting secure, and it works little matter how I try to launch it.

  Booted up normally again, no dice. I disconnected (e) Creative cloud before embarking to see what would happen. Launched inDesign and he has popped up with the Application Manager asking me to connect. Has done this, then the Application Manager stops on "wait a moment" with the spinning wheel indefinitely until the window had finally "not responding" in the title bar. Had to kill with task again Manager.

  So, can someone help me out here? Only other thing I can think is to uninstall all apps CC then the Manager app CC itself, but all my other apps seem to well (well, Illustrator and Photoshop are, in any case).

  I managed to do remove my recently given admin rights. Restarted, and CC apps seem to work fine now. Why this should affect things, I don't know. However, I enjoy once more being able to navigate to an InDesign file, double-click it and opened it.

• CC 2015 inDesign crashes at launch

  I use a Windows 8.1 machine and recently installed Acrobat DC and Illustrator CC2015 without any problem. At the same time, I installed InDesign and Photoshop CC 2015 at the same time. Initially, I got the message (I don't know which program was this error, it was either InDesign or Photoshop):

  So I did as instructed and downloaded from Microsoft.com vcredist_x86.exe and installed with no problems that I could say and restarted my computer. I opened Cloud to launch Photoshop and InDesign to test them, and it says have been updated, so I ran the updates for InDesign. When I tried to launch InDesign, I received the following message: Adobe InDesign CC 2015 has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. It does not give a code error or any other information. I did not run updates for Photoshop and can open very well now. I uninstalled InDesign and tried to run it without updates, and still, it crashes at launch, giving me the same message: Adobe InDesign CC 2015 has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

  CC crashes when launching inDesign.  I signed in and out of the creative clouds.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the program. (three times)  I disabled startup items and non-Microsoft services and restart the computer using Selective startup.  With the help of windows 10.   Nothing works, it still crashes. This happened after the update, and the same thing happened on my Microsoft Surface computer. Until then, it worked perfectly.

  InDesign is crushed when importing an image, but now I can not get to launch at all (not trying to open a file, just launch InDesign).

  I found the info on the recovery of files, but nothing recent on how to reset InDesign - any pointers in the right diorection would be much appreciated.

  I have no problem with other CC-programs, they work very well!

  See replace your preferences for folder locations and does not start under new inDesign CC | Adobe Community for instructions to set the permissions on the Mac. Procedure is similar on Windows.

  I have uninstalled and installed the last CC Illustrator several times and it won't start. The appicon/mneumonic bounces for a few seconds, then disappears as if the program had not been launched... Anyone have this problem? Help?

  We saw a few crashes with Wacom on Mac drivers. You see if the uninstall and update that solves the problem.

  Since I have to reinstall all my software because of a hardware failure, now InDesign CS4 on Snow Leopard, who used to work just perfect crash on launch. I can open InDesing but earlier I select new > Document it will crash. I've deleted preferences on the start, but the problem persists. I did a search in the forums and the explanations will corrupt fonts for the eclipses of the Moon and are too many and overwhelming at times. No other Creative Suite, Photoshop or Illustrator software had no problem just InDesign.

  Also, I uninstalled and reinstalled just and custody issues appearing. Could it be related to improvements Snow Leopard update or security that I didn't have the last month? Very frustrating indeed...

  How reading the newspaper very long report, see specifically where is the error?

  All AFAIK on SING them plugin is that it is intelligent and independent (also Glyphlet, but it's not relevant here), and it is certainly true that intelligent and independent things break in unpredictable ways.

• Thunderbird won't launch. It does nothing when I double click the icon on my desktop

  Whenever I click on the icon to launch Thunderbird, nothing happens. I just see an hourglass as its charge for a second or two, then it does nothing. Can someone please? Thanks in advance.
