Individual change Quiz legends

In older versions of Captivate, I was able to change the captions of the correct and incorrect answers. I want to give the right answer on inaccurate answers and put more information on the right answers. I don't see this ability to Captivate 8. I simply can't believe that adobe will consider this training function, so I know I must be missing something somewhere.

Nevermind, I found the boxes click that shows the legends:

• Try to change the legend based on the dropdown value

Two elements are involved:

The drop-down list called TransactionType - possible values are 'A' 'B' or 'C '.

Box chkVerification

I created the javascript code to the change event of the dropdownbox TransactionType

Form1. #subform [0]. TransactionType::change - (JavaScript, client)

If (this.rawValue == "A") {chkVerification.caption.value.text.value = "Checking A"}

ElseIf (this.rawValue == "B") {chkVerification.caption.value.text.value = "Checking B" ;}

When I check the script syntax sometimes without error, but when I change the value in the drop down the legend of the box never changes.

What I'm missing here?

Using app.alert, I think I can see that I need to trigger the script as xfa.event.newText, but the legend is not changing.

I also tried this: Form1.resolveNode ("chkVerification.Caption.Value. #Text"). Value = "audit has." Is what I'm trying to make even possible?

The form must be registered as a dynamic PDF form to enable dynamic behavior, including changes to the legend.

In addition, I find much easier to name pages explicitly. It is less problematic. So rather than going into "form1. #subform [0]. DropDownList1"you access"form1.page1.DropDownList1 ".

Form1.Page1.DropDownList1::exit - (JavaScript, client)

var char_ = this.rawValue;

xfa.resolveNode("form1.page1.CheckBox1.caption.value.#text").value = char_;

Is it possible to dynamically change the legends running durning xControls? I learn how to use xControls and I am having trouble changing the legends outside the xControl. I want the VI using the xControl to be able to dynamically change the legend of individual controls and indicators in the xControl. I tried to create an array of refNum for my data and bind the refnum controls and indicators of the xControl façade to that, but it was not miserable. Is it possible to create a method that will allow me to change the caption of individual controls in the xControl during execution?

• 8 screens of feedback quiz as smart shape and rather legend for some users of Captivate

Question: Captivate slide comments messages are displayed in the active forms. The parameter preferably smart use of forms for SFH legends instead of text captions is NOT selected. How can I force Captivate to use legend feedback messages?

Background:

Today I was training for my team on slide masters & Manager object style. I had set up the messages of comments under objects quiz > legends (good legend, incorrect, etc..) We have created cloned styles and imported a background shape that is the hallmark of our company/policies so that our team will be always consistent when we present the feedback of our modules. Set us them as default style.

Correct feedback caption.png

When we created our labels by default in Quiz preferences, I had them all check the default labels to display our styles rather than absence of Captivate. When the time came to update the model of slides with our desired settings/locations, etc. someone told that their legend was not in the Name of the Style list; they all said < type of feedback > shape placeholder rather than caption Placeholder. It turns out that this was the case with everybody I train. It worked fine for everyone on 6 Captivate and it worked for me 8.

We had checked on the machine of someone and the preference use smart forms for SFH legends instead of text captions has been selected. We he deselected, Captivate saved, closed and he was still selected when we opened a new project. A renewed and then allowed the cache. Now, the check box is not selected; However, he has not made a difference. Their masters slides on new projects still display form placeholders for messages of comments rather than legends.

Any ideas?

The theme is configured this way. I'm sorry, but the solution that I know on this topic to modify master slides which you use, where forms are used, click on it with the context menu and choose "Return to the legend". I recommend you to save the theme after editing all the slides of masters.

• Change the digital field of legend

I have a form at least 2 boxes option named type1 and type2 and on 2 different pages 2 fields of digital type NF [0] and NF [1], the binding of NF is global.

If I select the radiobutton type1 then legend of NF [0] and n [1] should change to 'Type1' and visa versa

I have the following JavaScript in the change of the radiobuttonlist method:

if (this.rawValue == 1)

{

xfa. Form.Form1.test.nf.Caption.Value.Text.Value = 'type1';

}

else if (this.rawValue == 2)

{

xfa. Form.Form1.test.nf.Caption.Value.Text.Value = 'type2';

}

This changes only the legend of NF [0], how can I change the legend of NF [1]?

Best wishes

Simone

You can change with the names that you have, but the syntax of the expression is quite confusing:

xfa.resolveNode("xfa.form.form1.test.NF[1]").caption.value.text.value = 'type2 '.

If you rename the field to a unique name, then you can set it as the first:

XFA. Form.Form1.test.NFnewName.Caption.Value.Text.Value = 'test2 '.

Note that you don't need the xfa.form at the beginning of the expression... then to simplify it:

Form1.test.NFnewName.caption.value.text.value = 'test2 '.

• How to modify programmatically legends of 3D chart axis?

Hi all

I use a 3D graph to display the results of a particular set of tests. I want to change the legend on an axis according to which test I run, for example, the x axis to change its legend of Deg C at time (nS), it only seems to be a property to facillitate node. Could someone tell me please in the right direction?

Thank you

Rgds,

DS1

If you use the 3d graphic CW can see this thread where I illustrate how to modify a property using the graphics property screen CW 3d as a guide.

If you do not use the CW 3d graphics... I can't help you.

• Graphical evolution Plot legend

I have no problem to change a legend of normal graphics plot with a property node, but I try to show three different sets of data on a graph. I tried to do a reference of the parcel with the legend of the plot and using the text of the legend. They should be definable when the VI is running, but the way that I tried to do, I had a reference error (1055 invalid reference). Defining the Plot legend or legend text would be acceptable if I could just understand.

I try to view 32 spectra, but only use 8 graphics and the name of this particular channel change. This without a the name of the channel FFT gets presented in the graph, but when I use the power of the spectrum VI I don't have the info from spectrum plugged into anything. So, I'm bringing my original table of channel name more and try to iterate to take the reference name and the correct pitch channel.

I only extracted the part of my code for this issue, so I hope it's easy to watch what I'm doing.

The first VI and Subvi are functional. The second Subvi is where I was trying to change the text of the legend. I tried other things too, but I just wanted to show a way I was trying to do.

I do not have the OAS add on so I can not check your main program. I looked at your sub vi and you do more code that you need. Take a look at my example, I put your 8 graphics in a cluster then used a table of references and tables for your index of chanel. Maybe this can give you some ideas for your program.

• Move the user off the system disk folders? Envy of all the data on E, so need to move directories user E. not individually, but in the world. If all new users, I create will have their user and docs folder on E.

Got a new laptop with win 7 home premium pre-installed. Using the language of win 7... I have decreased the volume of HDD to 55 GB. Made new simple volumes. Under XP, I could just change the 'My Documents' link on each desktop, go to the e. * instead of c *. *, but with win7?

As a Windows Home Server and most wise OS facilities, the system drive is isolated and a drive of 2 or 3 for everything else. Get a problem? Just restore the system drive.

PS Microsoft: This backup/do imaging software, why don't we name the image so many can all be stored on easily in one place without having to go and rename it or move them elsewhere?

Hello TomZork,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

In another forum, I found the instructions to move folders of users to another drive.
You can follow the post here. This is attributed to Jimmie R. Houts.

Article:
You can move the entire folder C:\Users to another drive quite easily once windows is installed:

1. Boot from the installation media and access the command prompt (I think you need to click on fix everything first)
2. Use Robocopy to copy C:\Users to D:\Users: robocopy c:\Users d:\Users /mir /xj
a. /mir says robocopy to mirror directories, this will copy all files and permissions
b. /xj is very important, it means robocopy does not follow the points of junction. If you forget this, you will have a lot of trouble.
3. Make sure that the files copied successfully
4. Delete c:\Users
5. Create the junction pointing d:\Users: mklink /d c:\Users d:\Users

That's all. I used this process for Vista RTM with no problems.

Here's an article that explains as well. Just use robocopy instead of xcopy as it does in the article in order to avoid possible ntfs permissions problems.

Update: because I discovered the hard way, I thought I would mention also that if you plan on switching "Program Data", or "Program Files" with this method, you will be disappointed to know that everything works as expected, but the windows updates will install is no longer. I don't know if this problem has been fixed in Win 7.

With the foregoing, it is not a Microsoft forum or Web site so you will have to use at your own risk. I also recommend to do a system restore point before making any changes in directories that you can then go back to a previous state.

Please reply back and let us know if these suggestions help you to solve your problem, then to benefit others.

Sincerely,

Marilyn

• Rule Table Bug - legends & Conclusions

I'd be interested to know if anyone has come across this problem which seems to be a bug in the OPA?

I have a rule that triggers a question during the interview where the value of the text attribute 'sense the question of procedure type' = 'Community Care' '.

The value 'Community Care' appears as a conclusion under a caption in the table named 'issue sense of type' on a tab named 'Types of importance '.

It is derived from condition procedure issue type 'code' which is an entrance to the OPA.

On the statements tab, I have an attribute, 'community care test shall apply to the proceedings', which has the legend "community care".

The legend 'community care' is displayed on a tab in the table of rules called 'Procedure '.

The values for 'community care test shall apply to the proceedings' are derived from condition "the name of procedure" which is an entrance to the OPA.

At the base of the rule the question test, I expected to appear did not appear. The reason seems to be that the rule table using the conclusions contained in the legend 'community care' in the tab 'Instance' rather than the conclusions contained in the legend 'type sense of importance' in the tab 'Types of matter' (see the extract from the insight into the debugger below).

The conclusion 'Yes' doesn't seem at all slot the legend 'issue sense of type' but does so under the legand 'community care' and the fact that legend "community care" is not capitalized, while the 'Community Care' value is, makes no difference.

I solved the problem by checking all the legends against the values for the findings throughout the rule table and change the legends who have the same values as some conclusions.

Hi thanks for raising it. Yes you're right, using captions that are the same as conclusions in the document of the excel rule causes ambiguous behavior, but we think that that is taken by a 10.3 validation error from. Can you confirm what version are you using? The latest version of the OPA is 10.4.4.

• Creating a button that changes with images in a slide show in Adobe Muse?

You are able to create a new button inside or outside of a slideshow that changes with the images? I want to have the images change and contain a title and a link to the project that they are linked to. Whenever the image changes, so automatically or someone clicks the "Next/previous" buttons, the button link and title will change with it.

You can use the part of the legend of slideshows. Since the text in a changes of legend as well as the image in the slideshow, you can add your own text to images.

• How to change the language of the Server screen?

Hi all

How to change the language of the Server screen? I got in Japanese and I would like to turn it into English.

Thx for your help,

We use Japanese strings only when your server locale is 'jp': FindNoCase ("Japan", GetLocale()) NEQ 0. So you may not be able to individually change the flash client server monitor, but there are two ways to return to English at the server level

(1) check your locale of the server and change it to something else than Japanese.

(2) rename smresource_en.xml in smresource_jp.xml in CFIDE\administrator\monitor (take a backup).

• Change the caption of a drop-down list field

Hi all

I'm changing the legend of some field drop-down under certain conditions. The following is written on some other field drop-down list:

If (this.rawValue == 'Ad Hoc payments')

{

xfa.resolveNode ("form. PaymentDetails.ddlInvoiceFrequency.caption #text ") .rawValue group"TEST CAPTION";

}

But it seems to not work.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Vijay.

Try with this:

delete the caption in the palette of the subject field and type this in the case of change:

If (xfa.event.newText is "Ad Hoc payments") this.caption.value.text.value = "TEST CAPTION";

• HR 9,01 table legends Format problem

I created WebHelp in RH 8 / CHT 2.5. The legends of the table are fine, Arial, blue, italic

I made a few minor updates to the table of contents (not the legend) in FM 10 / CHT 3.0.

I open the project in RH9 / TC 3.0 and regenerate.

The table caption is Times Roman black.

I can't change the legend of table format to be anything besides than Times Roman black.

The HR records show the correct format.

Here is what I tried:

I tried manually insert a table and put in the form of the legend.

I tried to create a CHM file instead of a file from WebHelp. The same problem.

I tried with two different projects. The same problem.

I did not create a new project.

Am I missing something, or is this a bug?

Thanks for the clues.

I tried to attach screenshots here, but I have disabled IE tweaks, because nothing happens when I click on the camera.

Welcome to our community

I will start by saying openly that I am a big ole frame ignoramous. I'm a guy of RoboHelp.

I think for the style more precisely my legends of table I first have to change the CSS file by using Windows Notepad. Pop the following code in the file:

Once you do this, your dialog box Styles will have an entry of legend in the other category you can format.

Seems to work on my own setup. I hope it will work for you.

• Referring to the value of a text field, not the legend

How to refer to the value in a text field to make the data entered by the user "BOLD" / no fat without the caption of a field text in bold or not bold?

Hello

Two lines should do. The first turn the caption and the "BOLD" value, then the second changes the legend of back to normal:

TextField1.font.weight = "bold";
TextField1.caption.font.weight = "normal";

Hope that helps,
