  • New Dell Inspiron 530 s processor

Hello. I have a s 530 Dell Inspiron and I wanted to upgrade the processor.

    My configuration:

Intel Pentium E2200 2.20 GHz to

    3.00 GB RAM

XFX AMD Radeon HD 5450 1 GB

    Card mother Foxconn G33M02

    250 Watt PSU

I read here that the Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 (2.80 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB) is supported.  I found the same processor here.  This processor will work in my 530 s Dell's Inspiron?

He did, and it's a good price. I think that it will be used, but it should work fine.

I suggest updating the BIOS to the latest version before installing the CPU.

  • Upgrading my processor on X 51 motherboard.

I am considering upgrading my CPU of my X 51 and I know motherboards are compatible with only certain processors, but I can't seem to find a list of the specific motherboard CPU compatibility. The motherboard model is a 08PG26 A00. On my information system, it says that my current model is an Andromeda_R5. Is there a list of processors that I am able to see if I want to upgrade my existing i5-2320? I was wondering if I can't upgrade to the newer chipsets haswell. Or what I need to improve my motherboard as well. Which in this case it would be more problems? As there would be the investment I/O problems and etc. Oh, I read more and the socket for the new haswells type are completely different. So I'll have to get a new motherboard. It looks like I can upgrade to Ivy Bridge and still be ok with my current motherboard as the socket type is the same.

Motherboard X 51 - R1 is validated with the OEM processors following Dell =
    JJ8D9 3rd generation Ivy Bridge 3770-i7 Quad Core 3.40 GHz to 3.90 GHz, 8 MB, 77 w, E1
    JN8M2 3rd generation Ivy Bridge i5-3450 Quad Core 3.10 GHz to 3.50 GHz, 6 MB, 77 w, E1

  • The UPGRADE of processor in NB520: of N550 at N2800

Hello everyone. This is my first post. My question is this:

I've a Toshiba NB520 netbook with an Intel Atom N550 processor. I would like to know if I can upgrade the processor * welding * a N2800. This is the same socket: BGA559.
I don't know if the BIOS or chipset would recognize the processor.

Can you help me? Thank you!

    Hello
To my knowledge the processors are not welded but "nested" which means that the processor is removable from the system board.
But this does not mean that the party must be exchanged/updated or changed.

In most cases, the BIOS does not work with the replaced CPU which causes a malfunction of the machine. The other reason that could make this not recommended is the chipsets support.
However, support for chipsets can be checked on the Intel ARK Web site.

But I m wondering why you want to upgrade the processor? The performance difference isn't important.
Of course, you'd get a faster processor, but the performance gain will be not noticeable.

My advice: replace the HARD drive with a new SSD. It's much better choice to increase the performance of s for laptop.

  • Equium P300-190 - Question about upgrading the processor

    Hello

I just have a question for my CPU PC Toshiba laptop, I have a can of Equium P300-190 full to give model number if necessary the cpu is one supplied with the laptop.

My question is I want to upgrade the processor but do not know which would be the best option and there are limits with the BIOS, etc. on board.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probably it is not known to you that upgrading the CPU is not officially supported by the manufacturers of portable.

The CPU upgrade is a tricky thing... the fact is that the CPU must be supported by chipset and BIOS.
Where a party would not support the new processor, the unit will not light.

So even if you use a CPU that is supported by the chipset (Intel GM965) there is a risk that the BIOS could not support the new processor...

The laptop was equipped with processor Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor T2390 (Merom code name) probably the other CPU Intel Pentium Dual-Core family-owned would be compatible, but to be honest, you won't see a performance improvement...

So in my opinion it is not worth trying to upgrade the processor...

In my opinion, you need to replace the HARD drive with an SSD... in that case you will get the performance improvement...

  • Is satellite Pro M70-235 - possible to upgrade the processor?

    Hello

Is it possible to upgrade of processor in this laptop (Pentium M 750-1866 MHz) Pentium M 780 2266 MHz?

    Thank you..

    Hello

Theoretically, it of possible to exchange the processor on your laptop, but nobody will be able to tell if the laptop works fine with the new processor or not.

You mustn't forget that the BIOS and motherboard is designed for the preinstalled CPU and it s not tested with another processor. Normally a newer or faster CPU produces more heat and I don t know if the Assembly of cooling on your laptop is sufficient for this.

If you still have the warranty of your laptop you will lose because Toshiba doesn't support the CPU upgrade:

  • Upgrading the processor on the Satellite U200

I have a PLUA0C U200-PT300E and I would like to upgrade the processor in it. I bought a T7200 processor on eBay since it was the most powerful available for laptops U200/U205 CPU. However, when I installed it, I came across a series of problems. First the fan would run at full speed and the computer would briefly have blue screen after Windows loading and then it could restart. He just kept this again and again. I ran MEMTEST because I wasn't too sure about what the issue was. The computer locked up during the test, and then I was unable to restart it. I replaced the processor with the an original T2300E, then the cimputer starts and ran perfectly.

Any ideas why this happened? Was the defective CPU? Both the U200 and U205 come with the Intel 945 GM Express chipset and I have the latest Toshiba BIOS for the U200/U205 (v 3.70) so it doesn't seem to be compatibility problems.

I wonder if it is the CPU that my own past experience if a CPU is not compatible with a chipset then the computer or the other does not start or it will give errors as soon as it publishes. However, this would be POST and would start to load Windows before it crashed.

I m didn't ask you with all these questions. Why you not a not post here until you have made the decision to upgrade CPU?

In any case, I think that the answer to your questions, you will find under http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm
Please read carefully what Toshiba guys talking about CPU upgrade.

  • Satellite 3000 - X 4: can I upgrade the processor?

    Hello

I have a pretty old (~ 5 years) S3000 - X 4 with a processor Intel Celeron 930 MHz I recently did a cleaning the radiator unit and additional and fat of the lot because the fan never seemed to stop. It has improved and now the fan especially when the processor reached somewhere around 80% usage.

The problem seems to be that he who reached very easily, so I still have the fan going all the time. I think probably a better processor could stop this, however, I'm not sure I can upgrade the processor?

Anyone know anything about this? It seems in other parts of this model is sold as a Satellite 1200, but comes with a 1.2 GHz processor.
    Thank you

    Hello

Oldie? I think it's rock of age ;)
But seriously, I google and found out that it would be possible to use the Intel Mobile PIII 800/850/900/1000 card

Many powerful processors are not compatible :(

  • The upgrade chart/processor Intel on Satellite Pro M70

OK, let's go with my first assignment. I bought a Satellite Pro M70, a year ago. It has a graphics chip (intel gtl 950?), I just would like to know, if it is possible to install a graphics card, ati or nvidia.

Furthermore, is it possible to upgrade the processor? and what about warranty if the upgrade and installation of all this?

Here, I'm going with my first reply you ;)

No, it is not possible to s. The technology of the laptop is different as desktop computers and therefore you will not be able to update the graphics card.

  • Can I upgrade my processor?

I have a laptop Compaq Presario C700 and I wanted to know if its possible to upgrade my processor.

    My current processor is «Intel (r) Pentium (r) Dual CPU T2310 @ 1.46 GHz»

    (Intel (r) Pentium (r) Dual CPU T2310 @ 1.46 GHz)

I want to switch to a faster (at least 1.70 GHz, but we would prefer 2.00 GHz +), but I don't know if it's okay. I searched a bit and I'm sure that a "Core 2 Duo T8300 @ 2.4 GHz 800 MHz FSB processor" would work, and this is the best that I could find.

(Core 2 Duo T8300 2.4 GHz 800 MHz FSB Processor)

They both support the same socket (PGA478 right?) and the same size package.

So I want to know is can upgrade the processor that I mentioned or a better if possible, and if not, what can go to?

Would be very grateful for any support.

Ok... This is so the list of processors that has been tested on this point, I'll say should work... something outside this list, I'm not sure...

  • T7250 (2.0 GHz, 800 MHz, 2 MB L2 cache)
  • T7100 (1.8 GHz, 800 MHz, 2 MB L2 cache)
  • T2310 (1.46 GHz, 533 MHz, 1 MB L2 cache)
  • T2330 (1.60 GHz, 533 MHz, 1 MB L2 cache)
  • Satellite A500 - upgrade the processor and RAM void my warranty?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A500, and I think to upgrade my processor CPU and RAM. If I open it invalidate or do I need a Toshiba authority to open it? Removes the card RAM will void the warranty?

All I need to know is that can I put RAM and CPU processor without voiding the warranty

    Hey,.

If you upgrade the CPU, you will cancel the warranty because this upgrade is not supported from Toshiba.
In addition, I put t understand why you buy a laptop, and then you think of some hardware upgrades. In your case, I'd rather bought a laptop with faster processor and more RAM.

See also this article from Toshiba:
[Is it possible to upgrade the CPU or GPU of a Toshiba laptop computer? | http://APS2.Toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm]

Finally and above all a RAM upgrade is not a problem. So check your user manual how to do this.

  • RAM upgrade problem: Flash the BIOS? or upgrade the processor?

Hi, I jumped in with both feet and now need help to get out me!

I have a desktop PC HP Pavilion Elite HPE-470uk who becomes a bit slow (processor card here http://ark.intel.com/products/48505/Intel-Core-i3-550-Processor-4M-Cache-3_20-GHz). After you have added a bluray player that I noticed that it's getting a bit slow so thought I would add little RAM.

I bought a few Hyper X8GB of HyperXbeast 1600hhz, slipped in and the PC did nothing but to turn on and off several times. I checked the two sticks and they both do it. I then (plow in front) checked what memory, the processor can handle and discovered "The Intel® Core™ i3 - 5xx / Intel® Core™ i3-21xx processors handle memory DDR3 1066/1333 MHz" by http://www.intel.com/support/processors/corei3/sb/CS-031175.htm

After a discussion on another forum, that it has been suggested that I have updated the BIOS because it can allow the processor to manage memory 1600 mhz, but I don't know where to start on this or what version to selected download. I'd appreciate any help you can offer on this.

The other way, that I can see is to update the processor itself. I thought of nothing too fancy just an i5 because it will allow me to run 3d blurays and should allow me to run some apps at the same time. After reading this http://m.wikihow.com/Upgrade-a-Processor it seems too complicated. Is it really just a matter of taking off the fan, declipsant the old processor, nine droping in and then put on some cooling stick stuff?

Or should I just return the memory and get good memory?

    See you soon

    Atdot.

Here are the specifications of original factory for your desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-470uk and its card mother MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E). Based on these specifications, this model can support up to 16 GB (4 GB x 4 DIMMs) as follows:

    Dual channel memory architecture
Four DDR3 DIMM sockets (240 pin)
    PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333)
    PC3-8500 (DDR3-1066)
    Memory non - ECC, unbuffered
Supports up to 16 GB on 64 bit computers

    In addition, this model can support the following Intel processors;

Maximum frequency of the processor of the heart < = 2.93GHz
    Intel Core i7 - 8xx (Lynnfield core)
    Intel Core i5 - 7xx (Lynnfield core)
    Intel Core i5 - 6xx (Clarkdale core)
    Intel Core i3 - 5xx (Clarkdale core)

If you do not have to worry about the update of the BIOS, there is no updates available for your computer BIOS. Honestly, I return the incorrect memory and upgrade to a minimum of 8 GB of RAM. Then, if it solves all your problems, you could also upgrade the processor.

As the computer is nearly 4 years old, you can consider a factory HP restore to return the computer to a facoty as State. In many cases, it returns original full speed of the computer. The reason why this helps, because the BONE is swollen and clogged over time.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

So officially his unsupported by Toshiba but if the socket on the motherboard and the chipset would support the new processor then you'd have a good chance to get the new processor running on this device.
