    People,

Hello. I install PeopleTools 8,53 Internet Architecture. Database server is Dabase Oracle 11 GR 1 material. Operating system is Oracle Linux 5. I installed successfully JDK7, WebLogic Tuxedo 11 GR 1 material and PeopleTools 8,53 10.3.6, in Oracle Linux 5.

Now, I'm going to implement database PeopleTools8.53. Because the Wizard installation problem, I created PeopleTools 8,53 database manually using Starter named PT853 Oracle database instance. We need run Data Mover script in a Windows Client computer to populate the PeopleSoft database instance in Linux Sever machine.

    Suppose that:

    VM1: Server - Oracle Linux 5 Machine
    VM2: Client - Windows XP

    Nicolas has this tutorial:

    http://Gasparotto.blogspot.com/2008/01/on-PeopleSoft-road-PeopleSoft-database_10.html

Step 15 to step 23, Nicolas does not explain how to connect VM2 (client) with VM1 (server) and load some data from to VM1 VM2.

    My questions are:

First of all, we need to install PeopleTools 8.53 Windows version on the Client Windows XP when installing PeopleTools 8,53 Linux version on the machine Oracle Linux 5 Server?

Second, how to connect with VM1 VM2, and then load to VM1 VM2 data?

    Thank you.

My computer's processor 64-bit, so 32-bit install PeopleTools or Oracle database server, there must be some mistakes!

No errors. 32 applications and processes will be running on 64-bit Windows. PeopleTools client programs (PSIDE, etc.) require the Oracle 32-bit client

What are the 'Oracle customer' in Windows machine?

'Oracle customer' is the "connectedness agenda" used by Oracle to connect to the Oracle database.

You mean besides install PeopleTools 8.53 in the Windows client computer, still need to install the Oracle database server in Windows client machine?

No, not the database server Oracle, just the Oracle client. You can download it separately from delivery for your client operating system.

  • Install PeopleTools 8,53 Linux question: Start Application Server domain PT853 using psadmin

    People,

Hello. I install PeopleTools 8,53 Internet Architecture. Server database is the database Oracle 11 GR 1 material. Operating system is Oracle Linux 5.

I address the issue of startup Application Server Domain PT853 while the database server is listening as below:

    [user@userlinux PT8.53] $. ./Psconfig.sh
    [user@userlinux appserv] $ export SYSTEM_PASS = SYS/SYS
    [user@userlinux appserv] $ export ORACLE_HOME = / home/user/OracleDB_Home
    [user@userlinux appserv] $ export ORACLE_SID = PT853
    [user@userlinux appserv] $ export TUXDIR = / home/user/Oracle/Middleware/tuxedo11gR1
    [user@userlinux appserv] $ export LD_LIBRARY_PATH = $TUXDIR/lib: $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    [user@userlinux appserv] $ export PATH = $TUXDIR/bin: $PATH

    [user@userlinux appserv] $. / psadmin

Its release gets 2-errors in the current server log file /home/user/psft/pt/8.53/appserv/PT853/LOGS/APPSRV_0919.LOG as below:

First of all, GenMessageBox (200, 0, M): PS General SQL Routines: version SQL library libpsora64 missing or invalid (200.0)
Second, GenMessageBox (0, 0, M): Signon database: could not sign database PT853 with user PSADMIN.

    I create a symlink in/home/user/OracleDB_Home/lib and /lib32 as below:

    [lib user@userlinux] $ ln-s libclntsh.so.11.1 libclntsh.so.8.0
    [user@userlinux lib32] $ ln-s libclntsh.so.11.1 libclntsh.so.8.0

After that, I run. / psadmin to begin the field PT853 again, I see the first error is resolved. Now, there is that a single error in the current server log file /home/user/psft/pt/8.53/appserv/PT853/LOGS/APPSRV_0924.LOG is below:

GenMessageBox (0, 0, M): Signon database: invalid user or password database signon ID. (id = MyOwnerName)
    Start the server failed

I changed the UserId as PSADMIN in Configuration file, purge the cache and clean restart and resources of the CPI. Password is correct. But the error still shows id = MyOwnerName.

Application Designer to connect as PSADMIN successfully. Data Mover Bootstrap connect as MyOwnerName successfully.

    My question is:

Why PSADMIN both MyOwnerName the ID invalid user or password database signon? How to solve the problem?

    Thank you.

As stated in the installation manual, there are a few prerequisites in chapter CHAPTER 8 b page 238 UNIX application server configuration

    Prerequisites

Before you begin this procedure, you should have completed the following tasks:

    • Installed your application server.

See "Using the installer of PeopleSoft," understanding PeopleSoft servers

    • Tuxedo installed 11 GR 1 material

    See "installing additional components.

    • Authorization to a PeopleSoft user ID to start the application server.

The database configuration process includes a step to set up the ID of the user with permission to start

the application server. See the installation instructions specific to the application for more information on user IDS

for your PeopleSoft application. See the PeopleTools: product documentation Security Administration

For more information on PeopleSoft PeopleTools sent user profiles.

See "Creating a database under UNIX," execution of the database Configuration Wizard.

See "creating a database manually ,"creation of Scripts to Import Data Mover. "

    • Run the following SQL statements on your database server to review and if necessary, update the PSCLASSDEFN table:

    SELECT THE CLASSID, PSCLASSDEFN STARTAPPSERVER

    WHERE CLASSID IN (SELECT OPRCLASS FROM PSOPRCLS WHERE OPRID ='');

    UPDATE PSCLASSDEFN SET STARTAPPSERVER = 1 WHERE CLASSID ='';

Novel installers generally use VP1 or PS to test the application server. If these users are deleted or their

Passwords are changed, the application server will be unavailable. To avoid this problem, you can set

until a new operator (called PSADMIN or PSASID, for example) with privileges to start the application server.

If you do this, you can use the operator new for your servers and you will not need to change the

password each time VP1 or PS.

You user has privileges to start the application server.

Also pay attention to the connectid configuration in the application server. This should be the same connectid and the password you provided during the database creation script connect.sql

  • PeopleTools 8,53 Linux Version PIA: JDK 7 questions

    People,

Hello. I install PeopleTools 8.53 (Linux Version) with the generic WebLogic11gR1 and coherence (name of file V29856-01) which requires JDK 7 Linux x 86-64 (V35017-01 file name). All files are downloaded from http://www.edelivery.oracle.com.

Before installing WebLogic 11 GR 1 material, install the JDK 7! After having extracted v35017 - 01.zip under Linux, it turns into the file jdk-7u9-linux - x 64 .rpm.

During the installation of the file, I get the message as below:

    My questions are:

First of all, the package of jdk - 1.7.0_09 - fcs is not any directory. Why the message says "package jdk - 1.7.0_09 - fcs is already installed?

Second, I try to install it in another location /JDK7 and get the same message as above. What's wrong?

Thirdly, do I need to remove the directory/usr and then reinstall it?

    Thank you.

Do not delete / usr, or you will be reinstalling your operating system.
because you installed with rpm, you should have removed with rpm. remove the files installed by RPM does not remove the package from the rpm database.
    try to make

    rpm - Uvh - force jdk-7u9-linux - x 64 .rpm

to reinstall over the existing package

    RPM man

gives you all the documents and there are of countless pieces of information available online. It seems that you should read up on the basics of Linux Administration. Administration/install PeopleSoft requires skills in operating systems, without them, that you will meet potential problems in all directions.

What directory to select? We select the directory ' / home/user/OracleDB_Home "on Linux?
Oracle Client tools in Windows XP "Start" menu is used to connect Windows XP with Linux?

    Thank you.

The answer is «Yes, they use the tools of the Oracle Client installed on Windows XP.» The longer answer is that these client tools communicate with the Linux using TCP/IP database, etc., and exclusive Oracle TNS 'protocol '. This network communication usually occurs on port 1521, but you can configure your server to database for listening on different ports. Alternatively, you can do all kinds of fun things with forwarding port, tunnels, VPNs, etc. for the use of different ports and security protocols. There is much more than that, but basically these Oracle client tools provide utilities communication (drivers) used by PeopleSoft to connect to the database on Linux via the network.

  • Problem installing RCU with ADR: database Version does not match

    People,

Hello. I have implemented PeopleSoft Campus Solution 9.0 revision 5 for a University.

I need to develop the application for Admission online for future student to apply for admission.

My installations of PeopleSoft are below:

Server machine: Oracle Linux 5.10 (64-bit)

Client computer: Windows XP Professional (64 edition) with the Internet Explorer browser

Architecture Internet Oracle Linux 5.10 Server:

    (1) database server: Oracle Database 11 g version 11.1.0.6.0 is

    (2) the server application: Tuxedo 11 g

    3) web server: logic of Web 10.3.6.0

    (4) browser: Firefox Mozila

    (5) two Instances of huge database on the database server: 8.53 PeopleTools and Campus Solution 9.0.

In order to develop the application for Admission online for students from the perspective, I need to make 3 parts below:

    (1) ADR installation (Application Development, Runtime) 11.1.1.6.0 (64-bit)

    (2) install the RCU 11.1.1.6.0 to create the scheme of OWSM_MDS (32 bit)

    (3) create or expand the WebLogic domain

I installed Oracle ADR 11.1.1.6.0 (64-Bit) with Weblogic 10.3.6.0 in machine Server Oracle Linux 5.1 with success.

Now I install RCU 11.1.1.6.0 (32-bit), on step 2 of 7 audit of the overall requirements, I face a problem like below:

    Type of database: Oracle Database

    Host name: 192.168.196.102

    Port: 1521

    Service name: HRCS90

    User name: SYS

    Password: mypass

    Role: SYSDBA

Database is connected successfully. Verification of the 2 first elements are passed successfully.

But check the 3rd issue "Check condition for the specified database" has not passed. The error message is below to:

"The database that you are connected is not a supported version. Enter the database with version equal to or greater than 10.2.0.4.0 in 10 g or a version equal to or greater than 11.1.0.7.0 in 11 g. See the matrix of certification for the supported DB version".

My database is the database Oracle 11 GR 1 material which is 11.1.0.6.0. This version corresponds to Tuxedo 11 g and WebLogic 10.3.6.0. If changing the database version, the entire Architecture of Internet PeopleSoft should be changed.

The version of the RCU I install is 11.1.1.6.0 (32 bit) which does not really match ADR 11.1.1.1.6.0 (64 bit).

    My questions are:

    (1) what version of the RCU can be installed with Oracle Database 11 GR 1 material is version 11.1.0.6.0 (64 bit) and MARC 11.1.1.1.6.0 (64 bit) ?

    (2) is there another way to solve this problem? Find the right version of the RCU or update the version of database?

    Thanks in advance.

Or you can try to do this work around (this work around will ignore checking the version of database)

  • PeopleTools 8.49 and FSCM 9.0 system database question

    People,

Hello. I'm using PeopleTools 8.49 and MS SQL Server 2005. My PIA runs correctly. I just installed FSCM 9.0 system database successfully. In application designer, I have login name to FSCM 9.0 database using user VP1 and password VP1. This message appears:

"The database is free 8.48. The PeopleTools running require a database during the liberation 8.49. »

AFAIK, FSCM 9.1 requires PeopleTools 8.50.02 or higher. FSCM 9.0 requires PeopleTools 8.48 or higher. So, for my PeopleTools 8.49, I can't installed FSCM 9.0 only. But PeopleTools 8.49 and FSCM 9.0 got this problem aa (above). People can help solve this problem?

    Thank you.

Old FSCM9.0 was built on Peopletools 8.48 (previous the recut of revision 1).
Since you are using Peopletools 8.49, you must upgrade the database to the new version. Please, follow the chapter "Upgrading your database to the latest version of Peopletools" from the Guide to install Peopletools.

  • Problem installing PeopleTools 8.53

    Hello world

I try to install PeopleTools 8.53 and FSCM 9.2 on system Wndows Server 2008 R2 with SQL Server 2008 R2 database.

When I try to install PeopleTools 8.53, I get the number in Task 4-2-2, step 17 in 'PeopleTools_8.53_Installation_for_Microsoft_SQL_Server.pdf '. I do not get the screen to choose the product features to install and not able to install tools. At stage 16, is go directly not 18 and not to install the tools features. I am not getting any error also.

Main question is that it gives me the option to select which features to choose to install and do not install the tools.

Please let me know, what may be the issue.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kiran

I would say that there are two things to check.

    1. do you use the license code just to what you install?

    2. you install the right part first?

First install PeopleTools and use the license code PeopleTools MS SQL.  Then install FSCM 9.2 then using the FSCM MS SQL license code.

I saw something similar to what you describe if you need to enter the FSCM installing PeopleTools or vice verse.

I have a PC running Windows 7 64 bit with 8G and 1000G hard driver memery. I installed Oracle database (32 bit) and the Toad and the Oracle database is installed successfully. And then I download the PeopleTools 8.51 (64-bit version), and when I run the installer from the disc 1, nothing happens? What is my problem? should I install Weblogic before installing PeopleTools? or do I have to install Java JDK or JRE before installing PeopleTools? Or should I download and install 32 bit PeopleTools, because I'm on the Oracle 32-bit server? Pelase advise, thank you!

I had similar problem on running Disk1\setup.bat, I always have to run Disk1\InstData\setup.exe instead.
    My solution for PT8.50 more:

Can I download and install 32 bit PeopleTools

There is no Peopletools 32bits, there is only a single installer.

  • Using the old Master of MultiSim databases in New Versions

    Hi all

I have the following question. Is it possible to use old Master databases in new versions of Multisim?. For example, I try to use the Multisim 10 of Multisim 11 database but it does not work. There are some parts that are in the 10 version of the database that are not in version 11 of the database.

I use Multisim 11. I have the file Multisim 10 database of origin of my old installation. Thank you.

    Hello

It is not possible to use the database to a version of the software in another. The master database has components based on the version you purchase. It is possible for you to place the components (to the exclusion of the lively and nonparametric) on your design in version 10 and open the drawing in version 11 or 12 and save them to your user database. To save, right click on the component, and then select Save the database component.

    I hope this helps.

  • Primary and standby database: same Oracle version?

    Hello

We need to create a database of pending in our new data center. The database primary is version Oracle 9.2.0.8 - but only Oracle version 9.2.0.5.0 is installed on the server for the backup site.

Is supported by Oracle anyway? No need to say that in the version 9.2.0.5.0 can be some bugs and other problems which are already fixed in 9.2.0.8.

Would be great if someone could provide the use with a response and a link to Oracle documentation which States: must be the same version or not.

    Any help will be appreciated!

    Rgds
