Install the agent in several ORACLE_HOME / instances on a host

Hello
I would monitor with OEM Grid 11 PSU6 some SAP (11 GR 2) databases running on a single Linux host.
Each database has its own ORACLE_HOME, user oracle and listner, sharing only the ORACLE_BASE (/ oracle). Example:

$> ps - ef | grep smon
2969 1 oraus1 0 Feb06? 00:00:45 ora_smon_US1
13078 oraus2 1 0 04:30? 00:00:00 ora_smon_US2
oraus3 32371 1 0 04:10? 00:00:02 ora_smon_US3

What is the best Setup for EMAgent?
A share, or one for each database (inside the different AGENT_HOME)?

Thank you.
P.

I am also tracking several SAP DBs on individual hosts.

Install only one agent for each host. I was using an account dedicated to the agent ("oraagent"), installed in a separate Directory (and not under oracle) tree. As long as the user agent account belongs to all s/n OS groups used for SAP instances, things seem to work well.

A suggestion (although I use 12 c) - I had a lot more luck when each SAP database has its own, not shared, oraInventory (/ US1/oracle/oraInventory, / oracle/US2/oraInventory and so on, all indicated by $ORACLE_HOME/oraInst.loc of each instance). We had a few incorrect oraInventory to clones of system files and database moves and they confused 12 c in making some incorrect associations. I have not run 11g to monitor SAP, so that might not be a problem for you.

Another suggestion, my SAP databases has slowed to a crawl and started running out of temporary space as soon as I brought in OEM and watched the target page DB, see MOS 748251.1 Note on his stats on X$ KCCRSR if you have any problems there.

    Hello

1 run the command /hyperic/hyperic-hqee-installer-5.8.1/setup.sh and not hyperic-hqee-installer-5.8.1/installer/bin/

    2. If you just want to install the agent you can unzip hyperic-hqee-agent-x86-64-linux-5.8.1.tar.gz in your /hyperic/hyperic-hqee-installer-5.8.1/ directory to your desire location and run

    Agent-5.8.1-ee/bin/HQ-agent.sh start

  • How to install the agent to see on the windows image and upload to the server of connection?

Hello, I'm running a trial to test this Horizon view. If my employers like it, they will implement. I installed and configured: composer, connection and security server.

I created a Win 7 64-bit image and made money for her. I'm trying to figure out how to install an agent to view on this subject and to transfer him to the connection to the server. I read textbooks online, but maybe my eyes are tired, I've missed that.  How should I proceed to the next level so I can launch and test on a Wyse client?

At a high level you are installing the agent, stop the machine, create a snapshot, and then create your pool based on this snapshot.

  • After re-installing the agent of the view, the view Desktop cannot log on to the domain

    Hello

I have a problem with the administration of desktop view. Our clients use a view 4.0 environment. Every time when I re - installs the agent discovered in a machine of Office XP (Office pool deployed with the active composer), after rebooting the machine one connection at the level of the customer area microsoft is not possible.

Whenever I have to remove the computer from the ad domain, after that I had to take back this machine in the field. But I can not install the successful agent in the view, when the machine is member of the domain. So I remove the computer from the domain ad, re - install the agent and take back the machine in the field.

    So what is wrong?

Anyone have the same or a similar problem?

    Kind regards

    André

Can you please confirm if they are related clones?  If so this behavior is expected, approach correct and taken in charge for the update of the Agent is for example to do it on the master image and without the link clone himself and then perform a recomposition.

I believe that the cause of this boils down to 2 files:

    SIM.datsimvol.dat

Frankly I am still not exactly sure what these files specifically do.

  • Where to install the agents?

    Hello

    I now architecture:
-Server 1 - ODI installed with the Server option
-Client 1 - installed ODI with the customer option
-Client 2 - installed ODI with the customer option

-Server 2 - DB Oracle installed - ODI repositories created
-3 Server - Oracle DB - source system
-Server 4 - MS SQL Server - source system
-5 - Oracle DB server - target system

I do not know where to install the agents for this architecture:
    -on server 1?
    or
-on 3 or 4 (source systems) servers
    or
    -the Server 5 (target system)

What solution will be the best in this case?

    Thanks in advance!

It is best to install the agent as close to the target as possible. So, in your case, it will be on Server 5.
In addition, since you don't have only one target, then you have the advantage that you can install only one officer and it works.
Just keep in mind, that during the installation of the agent on the Server 5
Server2 and server4 serveur3 must be visible to Server 5.

To further explain the above statement,
We have Filesystems FS1, FS2, on which the source files are located.
And the agent is on ORADB1 that is the target Oracle DB. FS1 and FS2 file systems are visible to the system on which ORADB1 is installed and that is why the agent on ORADB1 can also see file systems and so access the files for processing.

Your guide in this matter is greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need other information. TQ

CV provided to ESXi 4.1 image already comes with the HP agents. the image can be retrieved from http://software.hp.com its use is strongly recommended for blades G6 and G7.

However if you used the standard VMware ESXi image agents can be installed with vSphere CLI to your laptop/computer or of the vMA. Use the command:

vihostupdate - install - root of the Server user - bundle

The bundle HP ESXi 4.1 offline and your server (BL465c G6) is available for download on:

  • Possible to install the product on several computers?

If I have a student subscription, I then will be able to install my Adobe programs on my laptop and home computer?

(Hoping I ask in the right forum)

    Hello

You can actually have installed creative cloud and on two computers, signed as long as you don't use it on one at a time. Download and install as you did on the first computer, sign in to your Adobe account on the Adobe using your Adobe ID website, download the desktop app from clouds, then download the software. Sign on a computer that should not be used: log in and log out of the desktop Adobe Creative Cloud application

You can download the installer for Creative Cloud from here:
Creative cloud help | Creative cloud desktop.

After you install the creative Cloud desktop application, you will need to sign in with a login password and Adobe. Then you can install applications. This link provides more information and step by step instructions, if you need: CC help | Download, install, update or uninstall applications

You must certainly autonomous agent so that ODI client allows users to application server resources to lead the charge rather than their local customers and machine for communication of other databases and servers. Autonomous agent will also be to plan loads and various other reasons.

A that CC can be installed on several computers by just downloading but it can be activated twice. So you'll have top be careful about activation.

Activation of the CC is possible on the third machine by turning off the previous machine.
