Installation of Dreamweaver 8 on Mac with case-sensitive file system

Hello

I just installed Dreamweaver 8 on my mac with a case-sensitive file system, and it seems not quite spectactularly. Dreamweaver constantly alert poster boxes claimin to not be able to find .js files - the file names correspond to what is actually on the system, except that the case is not going in a few places.

Can anyone offer suggestions or solutions of workaround other than having to rebuild my computer everything from scratch?

Thank you
Tony

I've tried that - there is much too much. I also tried to create symbolic links from the 'bad' file and folder to the 'right' file names and folder names, but that no longer works. I'll probably end up partitioning my drive and giving DW a small chest in. I hope that Adobe addresses this well. On a file system case sensitivity is something that web developers deal with on a regular basis and it seems odd that the editor may not actually run on one.

'Standard' OS X file system is not case sensitive. Although you can use upper and lowercase in a filename to the extent where the system is concerned 'Filename' and 'filename' are the same. So if you try to copy files with the same name regardless of the case so the copy will result in a dialog box asking if you want to replace a file of the same name.

I guess in your case, your disks have been formatted with case-sensitive file system, and you should generally refrain from using a file system case-insensitive with OS X.

1 license, 1 computer. If your current copy of Windows 7 is installed on another computer, you cannot transfer it to your Mac unless that remove you it from the current computer. There are also a full commercial license.

If you don't have a user.js file, as I did not, then you can find this information in your profile folder prefs.js. To find this folder, click menu triple horizontal slash on Firefox button, then click the question mark at the bottom, then click "Troubleshooting information" and then click on "View file" next to the profile folder. At this point, you need to open the js file (prefs.js to me, maybe user.js for others) with Notepad.

The entry "accessibility.typeaheadfind.casesensitive" cor - el mentioned above must be just off the top, and if "Match case" is highlighted then it should have a '1' beside him. You will need to close Firefox, then change 1 to 0 and save. When you restart Firefox "Case-sensitive" must return to being disabled.

  • Suspension does not work with the exFAT file system

I'm under Windows 7 Enterprise 64 and WMware Workstation 7.1.2 build 301548 on a host of 4 GB RAM machine.

I created a virtual computer running Windows XP Professional SP3 with a virtual disk of 60 GB preallocated and cut into pieces of 2GB. RAM for this virtual machine is 2304 MB.

All this virtual machine files are stored in a partition exFAT about 84 GB leaving 24 GB free.

Everything works very well and fine, but I can't suspend the VM. When I try to do, I get the following error message:

Cannot open the file 'C:\ProgramData\VMware\dndlogs\dndlog.conf': the system cannot find the specified file.

Failed to save the State of the virtual machine. The State of this virtual machine may be registered only on a file system that supports more than 2,383 GB files.

The underlying file system only supports files up to 2 GB.

    Do not suspend the VM.

As exFAT supports files of size up to 16 exabytes (8 billion more than 2 GB!), for me this error sounds like VMware Workstation does not support exFAT partitions.

In any case you know any workaround solution to suspend my virtual machine? Is really not exFAT support?

    Any help really appreciated!

    Kind regards.

the dndlog.conf message is annoying but completely harmless.

exFat is not completely compatible - you must disable overzealous checking file system with the line that Woody already mentioned.

    That usually works.

If it is necessary, you can also set the directory - suspended like this

    suspend. Directory = "h:\suspend".

Looking at other forums, the only way to change what has been suggested is to erase and format it in NTFS for Mac. However, I have 500 GB of data on what I don't want to erase. • Mac with CS4 programs operating system compatibility

I have an imac 2009 8 running OS 10.6.8 with Creative Suite 4 installed. I can upgrade to El Capitan and there still be compatible with my Creative Suites? And I would be able to upgrade my Yosemite to El Capitan on my laptop (2010 macbook pro) runs the same programs?

Maybe, but maybe not... and Adobe is only updated of CURRENT programs to be compatible with the new OS (Mac and Windows)

CS6 and previous programs have not been tested and will not be updated to run on Mac El Capitan

-which means you are trying to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems

-You can get CS6 and previous programs to install and run, or you can not (some do, some don't)

This information is a MUST to install old programs on Mac El Capitan

  • Lov with case sensitivity

    Hi people,

is it possible to make my requirement.

I have lov as telling as an example of employee name. as usuall while hitting the lov lov icon popup goes. because I had to search option like employee name: entry here text box //here I want to allow only uppercase.

Why say that my all data from field in my db is upper case only.

    using jdev 11.1.1.5.0.

    User707,
Two things are wrong with your code. The query you use will not as it returns all work if you do not specify the two variables (jobid and jobtitel) If you give only one of two the other part of the condition is true, and if the query returns all rows.
Second thing is that if you do not use the ViewCriteria in your LOV the framework generates an automatic query for the attribute. This is what is happening in your case, because the resulting query has vc_temp_2 as a parameter.

To do your use case, you must do two things:
    (1) change your criteria in view AND the two items in the Group and select "Ignore Null values" to the two attributes in the view criteria. the result should look like

Then, you open the EmployeesView where you want to use the LOV and select the attribute JobId. Then open the "Statement of values" node for this attribute and change the LOV_JobId entry (click on the pencil). Select the "Indications of the UI" tab and look at the "search list" half of the dialog box. Fall to the bottom of the list box for the "research area Include', where 'All Queryable attributes' is selected now and select your criteria from view so that"Use JobsViewCriteria"is selected.

Now just compile and run the application and it works like your use case.

  • Automatic extension of a data file with the complete file system

We are working on a database of Oracle10g 10.2.0.4 on HP - UX 11.31 (Itanium |) PA - RISC)

We would create our database by activating the automatic Extension of our data files
(defining the maximum size limit or unlimited)

    Our question is:
What happens to the database in the event of complete file system when one of the data files should be automatically extended?
The extended data file has become corrupted or the db cease its activity?

    Marco

No data corruption should occur. If Oracle is trying to develop, OS it will send the message that it is not possible. That's all.
