• Installation of generator file on the user's Machine EPMA

  Hello all-
  
  I have a user who wants to be able to extract its metadata from EPMA HFM compatible applications at its discretion. My first thought was EPMA file generator, but it is not (and will not) have access to the servers in any capacity. Is it possible to install the generator of EPMA file on a user's computer? I'm also open to the extraction of metadata options she could do without EPMA file generator, but nothing comes immediately to mind.

  The EPMA file generator can be installed on a desktop user. The bad part is on the line 11.x, you must use the Setup program that requires a large number of files (Installer, Foundation 1 - n, EPMA) to install a small piece of software rather than a specific installer for the EPMA line Generator. Make sure that only the generator file is selected for installation and no other components.

  Once it is installed, no configuration is required using the configuration tool - all parameters are entered when you run the file generator itself.

  Firstly, I would like to post a question that I have.
  
  Do we need to create a database for each module I install? Example: PLAN, ESSBASE, HBI, EPMA? Or I can create a DB for all modules (this is what I did on my test installation? I also created a user/schema for each module. And configure each module connected with each user/schema
  
  But after I installed all the EPMA (because now I have installed only the Planning and ESSBASE) I have many problems with the registry.

  EPMA is not supported on XP and EPMA requires at least IIS 6

• Configuration of IIS for EPMA after HTTP installation and configuration

  Someone did he do the IIS on EMP web server configuration after initial HTTP configuration without problems?

  We installed the EPM (11.1.2.4 + patches) on your server, as well as of Essbase server a separate B (both are Windows 2008R2). We made our initial configuration of the web server with the Oracle HTTP server but have a new requirement to install EPMA requiring IIS. We have not yet installed IIS on a server. Can we just install IIS on a server and reconfigure the IIS instead of the user HTTP web server? Our load-balanced program requires IIS listening on port 91000.

  It is possible to run IIS on a different port, this is done in Internet Information services manager.

  We have installed Oracle application server (Tomcat) and essbase on Unix servers (each on the other server). Now, we would like to install Planning, ODI, R - A, SS on windows environment. Is it possible to install all these under windows. It is a staging environment. Are there problems with installation on Windows.

  The products are usually installed in a directory if on the same server. ODI will probably be installed at another location because it is not really part of the hyperion facility.
  I recommend to install all products, then configure the SSP first foremost products including essbase, can pass through other products.

• EPMA does not open

  I installed and configured Hyperion 11.1.2.4. Installation and configuraiton succeeded for all components. But I'm unable to access workspace EPMA. I get error when I try to open the library size EPMA or application below:

  There were a few windows policy settings applied on the server that prevented that IIS is functioning normally. The servers have been reconstructed and IIS has been reinstalled and Hyperion was again relocated and reconfigured. Now, all the components of Hyperion properly.

• Hyperion v11.1.2.4 - new installation problem

  Hello world

  I tried to install Hyperion v11.1.2.4 using the Standard deployment guide and have a problem when you try to actually get EPMA to perform HFM or planning.

  
  

  First of all, my infrastructure:

  • Windows 2008 R2 virtual machines with VMWare Workstation 12 player of the firewall disabled, the deployment created with user specified permissions local & disabled UAC.
  • The machine names are DBHOST1, FNDHOST1, PLANHOST1, ESSHOST1 and HFMHOST1.
  • All VM is the minimum specifications that I try all the V4 installation process
  • DB Oracle 12 c created the DBHOST1 according to the Standard deployment guide and seems very well through SQL Developer.

  
  

  My steps:

  1. I have installed and configured the services of the Foundation on FNDHOST1 as expected. I use Oracle HTTP, have a network share set upward for LCM & Oracle HTTP and the named instance as foundation1. All the services of the Foundation are on the rise and running, EPMA can connect at Calc Manager works, Shared Services Console works etc. I start WebLogic Admin Server and that you can access the Console of the OK Service.
  2. Everything is good so far.
  3. I have then install and configure HFM on HFMHOST1. Installation is fine. When I set up, I used the same domain of Shared Services and WebLogic as Foundation. The instance name is HFM1. The configuration is done correctly and HFM 2 windows services have started.
  4. Great, I started thinking.
  5. I then go back to Foundation with my user deployment, run the Configurator on my instance of Foundation and let it to reconfigure the Web server. I restart the Web server and administration WebLogic Server, refresh the EPMA and log in EPMA.
  6. I can see Administration of Consolidation.
  7. I'm starting to celebrate but then...
     
  8. When I try and access it I get error messages indicating that the required module 'hfmadf.administration' is not valid, cannot be found or is not configured. It goes the same for planning (although with an error in the "HyperionPlanning.AppWizard" module), after I do the installation and configuration on PLANHOST1

  
  

  Then, I spent hours trying to understand why it does not work and need help!

  One thing I found is that, during my installation and configuration, an additional WebLogic machine has been implemented on HFMHOST1 (EPMServer1 compared to EPMServer0 on FNDHOST1). When I reconfigure the Web server, my list of components shows that the HFM apps will be configured on my server of Foundation.

  However, even if the web server configuration is successful, when I look in the mod_wl_ohs file on my share of network, point HFM WebLogic services on the HFM and server which is also reflected in the WebLogic administration Console. Is this correct? He did the same for planning.

  Help or advice gratefully received. More than happy to post information or to clarify on any part of the infrastructure of config /.

  Fact to the foundation that you have deployed all the web applications to a managed server unique that's why you have EPMServer0.

  By the looks you have deployed the HFM web app on a single server managed so that is why you have EPMServer1 (in the deployment guide standard, that it has been deployed on its own managed server)

  What planning how that has been deployed.

  If you to scale on a single managed server then the same web apps to be deployed as the first deployment, that is why in the standard deployment planning/HFM were made to their own managed server.

  To be honest I'm not a fan of the single managed server used at all unless it's for a simple environment where there are restrictions on resources.

  When I try to run the corrective update on EPMA option is grayed out and it displays the message:

  I tried searching with google first, but found no solution. How can I solve this problem?

  I successfully updated and configured the EMP products but when I start the server the EPMA Service its not not fixed the error giving "the Oracle Hyperion EPMA Server Service on Local computer started and then stopped. Some Services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs"

  What I've observed, it's that when I upgraded from 11.1.2.2 to 11.1.2.3, it installs automatically two customers Oracle (32 and 64-bit) on

  the server. But Server customer already has Oracle installed on it.

  I looked in path Variables.

  He also added check the TNS_ADMIN environment variable pointing to the Environment Variable

  Currently, I have 64-bit IST 11.1.2.1 installed on my Win 7 machine. I am not able to do export/import metaoutline/client model to the study of environmental impact to my machine. I think that installing 32-bit IST 11.1.2.1 customer should solve

  This problem. But it seems that Setup for EPMA 11.1.2.1 has been removed from the clouds of oracle.

  Is there another place or website where I can get EIS 11.1.2.1 - 32 bit installation files?

  Can I ask questions repeated, but I just want to clarify on the underside of the points I intend to install the Hyperion Planning in a distributed environment. Users will be less than 100. Server 1: Installation and configuration of Foundation all components, calculation Manager, EPMA and Reporting and analysis (financial information) and FDMEE components. Server 2: Installation and configuration of Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase components only in second server or I need to install and configure any other coponents while second server I will point to the first server Foundation. Is that it works well? Here also to be confirmed in the future if I need installation for HFM then I'll install the HFM components in server 3 pointing to the first server in the Foundation. Here I will install and configure only the components of HFM. Is that it works well? I install EMP 11.1.2.3 version and the Windows 2008 R2 operating system. Please notify. .

• EPMA 11.1.2.2 server won't start not

  I installed an EMP 11.1.2.2 environment in Windows Server 2008 with Oracle 11.2.0.1 database. Installation and configuration was successfully, but when I start services EPMA Server services do not start and I saw this outut in Event Viewer:

• Installation of Hyperion 11.1.2.3 - client 32-bit Oracle problems

  I'm trying to install the Hyperion 11.1.2.3 below environment, seems I get a very strange error.
  
  Windows XP Mode environment:
  
  Details of the laptop:
  
  OS - Windows XP 32-bit (in virtual - using windows XP Mode)
  RAM - 8 GB
  DB: Oracle 11g EE
  Hyperion products - Shared Services, EPMA, planning and RA 11.1.2.3
  
  Successfully, I have installed and configured the 11.1.2.3 Hyperion. After restarting the machine, none of the Hyperion and DB products do not work. I started the problems in case of problem and found below.
  
  In Hyperion 11.1.2.3, by default, customer database ORACLE - 32 or 64 bit is installed as well as Services of the Foundation. I guess, it creates the problem, because in the slot location, it creates a listener and Tnsname files. You can see the new menu called Oracle - Oraclient3211g - OS user name and customer files.
  
  Note: If I try to uninstall client Oracle 32-bit systems, it displays the warning message * ' customer Oracle 32-bit is required for EPMA - Server Dimension service, uninstall the product will break the EPM features ' *_

  Installation on an operating system would be a good start because XP is not supported.
  Are you sure this is the installation of the customer who caused the problem as it should be ok, has been the database certainly work after a reboot before the installation of the software of the EMP.
  If you delete the Oracle client (also remove the window - TNS_ADMIN environment variable) then restart and check the database works ok.
