• CS4 plugin installation path

Hello

I have a question about the installation of the first pro plugin. In the docs, it is said that

On Windows, the common path plugin is located in the registry in the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Adobe/Premiere Pro/CurrentVersion/Plug-InsDir

However, when I browse my registry, there is no button 'Adobe' under 'software '. I uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere Pro to ensure that it is not my installation screw up. It is always worn disappeared once I have it launched uninstall and installed new Premiere Pro. To be more precise, I only installed Premiere Pro and programs which it depends, if that is important. Can you guys confirm that this registry entry is created when you install adobe?

During this time,.

Suppose that the "Plug-InsDir" key exists in the registry. The path of the plugin would be in the (default) string value or another value under the same key chain? What is the name of the value of this string, if it is not in the default string value?

Thank you

Petro

Hey Petro,

The Wow6432Node is for the specific case of the installation of a 32-bit application on a 64 bit OS. And it is not specific to Premiere Pro CS4, but has to do with the registry redirectory on 64-bit operating systems: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa384232%28v=VS.85%29.aspx

First Pro CS5 being a native app 64-bit, it will create again the initially documented, without the Wow6432Node on 64-bit OS registry keys.

In addition, to double-check, location of plugin on mac has not changed in/Library/Application Support / Adobe / Common / Plug - ins / [version] / MediaCore, right?

Yes, that has not changed.

Kind regards

Zac

• Operating system for r.620 and iDRAC Express installation path

I have a new PowerEdge r.620, 8 chassis Bay, no optical drive, with iDRAC7 Express edition.

I've got the interfaced web DRAC configured and I can access it fine. I have a Ubuntu sitting on another server accessible through HTTP I want to get and install from an .iso image. What is the method to do this, use DRAC7 Express? Isn't this possible?

I see the 'Remote file sharing' configuration settings, but they are not available in the Express edition. The docs for help I need a business license in order to use it. I guess it's the only way to mount an ISO on the network, which is unfortunate, because our old R610 does not require an additional license just to mount the ISO network files.

Suppose I can't mount an ISO as a virtual media image. What is the method recommended by Dell to perform an installation of the OS with just DRAC Express and no internal optical drive?

Hi rwhaley,

You can have a business card in the R610 who are not licensed as the new r.620 12 G.

The only way you can do this through connection to the DRAC is to upgrade the express to the company.

You can refer to your service representative sales Dell and ask for a 30 day trial license, which could help you to install your operating system.

If so, how can I get the full path to the Directory installed extension?

for example: C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\com.example.extension

I tried to get ExtendScript using Folder.commonFiles and adding the rest of the way.

But it gives C:\Program Files\Common Files, even if our extension is in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files.

• Provide the installation path of flash via XML

I created an autorun Flash in which a component of the tree is assigned to show the contents of the disc, populated from xml file and a button component, which installs the selected item in the tree pane. Here is the AS:

var my_tree:mx.controls.Tree;
var my_xml:XML = new XML();
my_xml.ignoreWhite = true;
my_xml. OnLoad = {function (success:Boolean)}
If (success) {}
my_tree. DataProvider = this.firstChild;
} else {}
trace ("XML parsing error");
}
};
my_xml. Load ("Data.xml");
var listener: Object = new Object();
Listener.change = {function (evt,:Object)}
var treeNode:XMLNode = evt.target.selectedItem;
If (treeNode.attributes.src! = undefined) {}
selectCase.my_ldr.contentPath = treeNode.attributes.src;
selectCase.heading = treeNode.attributes.heading;
selectCase.description = treeNode.attributes.description;
selectCase.License = treeNode.attributes.license;
selectCase.instructions = treeNode.attributes.instructions;
}
};
my_tree.addEventListener ("change", listener);
function installContent() {}
getURL("FSCommand:exec",treeNode.attributes.installpath);

where the installContent function is assigned to the button on (click) event. Here is the XML data:

<? XML version = "1.0"? >
< tree >
< node label = "Freeware Items" >
< node label = "ABC" src = "images/shock.jpg' topic = 'ABC' description = instructions"Essential tool to play some games."=" it is necessary to be connected to the Internet to complete installation. "license ="Freeware"installpath ="a_sitch_in_time.exe"/ >
< / node >
< node label = "Shareware Items" >
< node label = "XYZ" src = "images/Flash.jpg' topic = 'XYZ' description = instructions ="Rich web content Deliver, your single web authoring tool."" Internet not needed. ' license = "Shareware" installpath = "sweets_country.exe" / > "
< / node >
< / tree >

The problem is the button does not run the exe file, if the file is placed in the 'fscommand' folder or not. Need help. Thank you

I have flash 8 Professional. And I solved the problem myself. What I did is just gave the treeNode.attributes.installPath a variable and has placed just below this line:
selectCase.instructions = treeNode.attributes.instructions; as
InstallationPath = TreeNode.Attributes.InstallPath;
}
};
and in the installContent() function, I set this variable here:
getURL("FSCommand:exec",installationpath);
and everything went well.

• installation & path download

I have 12 items, Photoshop and Premiere of 12 elements. I have serial numbers. I download files to my purchase. I can access my Adobe account and see these products and serial numbers. But I'm unable to install either. I went to download Adobe. The only files to download are for Mac. I use windows. What are my options?

both links work.

If you have a problem from the download, you follow the 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.

the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow the steps 1, 2, and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system, allowing you to download the correct version of the adobe.com site).

failure to obtain this cookie translates into an error page displayed after clicking on a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (e.g., current) version.

• Is there a way to change the installation path by default for adobe flash player?

I recently installed an ssd and wanted only to have my operating system installed on it and any other installed on another hard drive, but it does not give me an option on where to install flash player. Is it possible to install it on a secondary hard drive?

Because it is a "plug-in" for your browser, it cannot reside on a different drive. It won't work. Since it is a plugin, it is part of your operating system, essentially, especially if you are using IE. The plugin is only 17.6 MB, so it does NOT take a lot of space on the drive in what's your concern.
