Installed update for Flash Player now does not work on windows 7

I recently updated my flash player, and now I can't see the videos or any other flash content. I have: Windows 7 64-bit, IE 9. Flash version: 11.1.102.62

Sometimes, I can hear the video, but it's usually just a white screen. Sometimes when I move my cursor around in the video puts blinking on and outside. The Etsy site, I can see the video if I enlarge to full screen, but as soon as I reduce it, he disappears again.

Also, when I get my computer to start a search for the player on the menu, he didn't, but when I'm under the control panel of configuration/programs I listed.

I uninstalled and reinstalled several times and always get the same result. Did may of steps on troubleshooting and nothing seems to work. Help! I can't even look at my own Web site, it's very frustrating.

Thank you.

Go to Internet options, click on Advanced tab and check made software use instead of GPU rendering.

  • new update of flash player 11 does not work with internet explorer 8

I have Windows 7 and IE 8. It is a home desktop computer.

When the last update of Flash Player 11.5.502.146 is automatically installed on January 9, IE8 has stopped working. I can browse a site, but then it just hangs. I can't click on a toolbar or other buttons or links - I can't even close IE - I have to use the Task Manager. If I disable Flashplayer, IE works fine, but then of course no content can be displayed. If I go to a site and then activate Flash Player, I can't click on anything again, so it does not work. Help. The most recent update does not work with IE8?

This looks like a problem that might be addressed in our latest beta version of 11.6.  Could you try this updated version and let me know if this can help?

  • Flash player 10 does not work on windows vista sp2, any NPSWF files found in the system as well

Hi, I use windows vista, downloaded flash player 10 several times but it will never work.

just updated to SP2 today after reading the other popular solution here, but it still will not work.

I use IE 8, went to C:/windows/system32/c:\windows\system32\macromed/flash on my computer but it

is not NPSWF files at all.

    There are those I have flash10e.ocx install.log, flashUtil10e.exe, uninstall_activeX.exe

and trust flashplayer with rpconverter.ctg in her file.

Please help me with this, thanks a lot!

Hi candy, happy you found that Shockwave Flash Object, it works with Flash files and is very important

NPSWF files you said aren't there, those who are for the browser Firefox or Chrome or any other browser. If you use Firefox and you want the Flash Player to do this, close all your browsers if you are looking only at your office.

Click on the Flash Player for Firefox installer and save it on your desktop. Then run it from your desktop, and after it is finished installing, restart your computer.

Then using Firefox go to the plug-ins and find a SWF vs 10.0.45.2 and make sure that this option is enabled. It's like the Shockwave Flash for Internet Explorer object, but it is one that works with Firefox.

I would like to know if this is what you wanted to do. If you do not use Firefox, but Chrome or any other browser, this will work for that one also.

If you do not use another browser, then do this. I have just thot maybe that you did and that is why you were concerned that the NPSWF files were not there.

    Thank you

    on https://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player.html
It indicates that I installed the latest version

on the Adobe - Flash Player: settings - global privacy settings panel Manager

None of the panels is displayed

    but on the http://www.Adobe.com/software/Flash/about/
It does not display the little saying version information window you have installed x.x.x.x or the red box of adobe bouncing displays it as on my laptop more old. but when you click on the global settings menu it says that you have installed the latest version...

example: playing a flash game online, www.volvooceanrace.com loading the game asks to open a session, and then you hear sounds and then seems to not load, proceed to others, or crashes. There are 170 000 daily players using this flash game.

First of all, check that the ActiveX filtering is configured to allow Flash content:

    https://forums.Adobe.com/thread/867968

Internet Explorer 11 introduced a number of changes both in the way the browser is identified with remote web servers, and how it treats JavaScript for behavior targets specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the provider of content changes their site to conform to the new approach to development required by the modern versions of IE.

You can try to work around these problems by using the compatibility view:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Internet-Explorer/use-compatibility-view#IE=ie-11

If it's too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a better alternative.

  • Flash Player 10 does not work in IE or Firefox. What it is in conflict with?

I use Firefox 3.6.8 (and sometimes IE 8.0.6001.18702IC) on Windows XP Pro SP 3.

For several weeks now, I was unable to hear sounds on what Flash-based, YouTube at MSN.com games or videos embedded on all sites using Flash.  Initially, I had assumed it to be having QuickTime installed because I know that QT likes to divert all.  I uninstalled QT (and Real Player) and Flash Player then reinstalled Flash Player (and Shockwave Player just in case) and guess what?

Well Yes.  Nothing.  When I uninstalled it, I used a program called Revo Uninstaller, which includes an option to registry cleaning.  I then used Abexo and WinASO registry cleaners to make sure I got all the rest who even resembled QuickTime on my hard drive.

When I reinstalled Flash, the following programs appeared in C:\Windows\system 32\Macromed\Flash:

    Flash 10i.ocx (10.1.82.76)
    FlashUtil10i_ActiveX (10.1.82.76)
    FlashUntil10i_Plugin (10.1.82.76)
    genuinst (6.0.2800.1531)
    FlashUtil10i_ActiveX.dll (10.1.82.76)
    Npswf32.dll (10.1.82.76)
    KB931433
    FlashInstall
    Install
    Flashplayer.XPT

When I check 'Tools' IE and search modules, it is said that Flash (Shockwave Flash) is enabled.  I even activated the other modules in Adobe for Acrobat and others just to be sure.  Firefox displays Shockwave Flash and Shockwave for Director both be enabled.  The Panel control the Flash settings do not help: I have all of the defined sites to store about 100 KB on my computer to make sure you that there is enough room for everything, but still nothing.

Until someone asks, my audio drivers are up to date, thanks to the manufacturer Web site.  I have DirectX 9 installed .0c and everything works fine.  I can play audio and video elsewhere without any problems.  It is only Flash that shows me this evil and there is no indication as to what else could interfere with the Flash.

    Any ideas?

With the help of this list, almost all of the sound problems were fixed in the past.

  • Flash Player 10 does not work in some sites, works well in others

Lately I had problems to visualize videos with Flash Player on many sites in which they considered much earlier. What I see is a solid black rectangle the size of the video screen. No player controls. Nothing. I looked at the code of the page, but found nothing out of the ordinary. The system on this machine is XP Pro with SPII, and the problem occurs whether you use IE 8 or Firefox 3.6.3. The screen showed 'about' that I had Falsh Player 10.0.32.18 installed on my system, so I downloaded 10.0.45.2 and installed, hoping that would solve the problem. Nope.

Currently goes http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ via either IE of Firefox watch I have correctly installed the version 10.0.45.2. The animation plays well in both browsers.

Today one of my friends is a graduate of Temple University in the Japan, the graduation ceremony was broadcast live (03:30 in the morning my time). I couldn't watch it. This site has been http://www.tuj.ac.jp/graduation2010/video.html hosting site is UStream, specifically http://www.ustream.tv/channel/tuj-2010-graduation I can not all videos on UStream to open. All I see is a black rectangle. My friend's mother had no problem viewed the ceremony with Firefox on his laptop computer.

Other sites that worked well recently but no longer ply videos at all on this system are Fox News and NBC News. I have no problem watching Al Jazeera news videos, but videos post on UTube. I have no problem, watch videos on UTube. BBC News videos will work also perfectly, as do many other sites videos. It makes no difference if I accept or block cookies on the sites that cnnot play videos. What is different on these sites than others?

I read that two related discussions here, not a problem with sites loading Flash... and Flash videos does not not on espn.com in any browser , but none of them had any relevant help to my problem. Re: videos not working not not on espn.com in any browser Flash Re: Player does not start The second thread was a problem loading videos from ESPN, giving the site

http://espn.go.com/video/category?id=3461971 for example. but I have no problem watching videos on this site or any other videos on ESPN. Instructions given in the first thread that is supposed to remove several files in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash folder, but I had none of the files lilsted.

Is there something in my registry that needs to be changed? Is there something that my antivirus (Bitstream) program may have killed? I really want to solve this problem.

    Thanks - Tony

You are welcome. Adobe really needs to do a better job of explaining the

consequences of changes to the settings in the Global Settings panel.

I have Flash Player 9.0.124.0 on my laptop with XP Home Edition works very well and was able to access a website for our new doctor. Uninstalled and reinstalled about 7 - 8 times. Did the steps in uninstalling mentioned on the forum.

Both systems are XP Home Edition SP2, IE 6 and Flash Player 9.0.124.0 (I tried to put the same player flash on the desktop version, because I knew that it worked on the other computer and had read some problems with version 10).

All parameters have already were OK except:

After the restarted and tried change, problem still there.

So I decided to run CC Cleaner, after running Flash Player 9 has worked well!

AVG Linkscanner/Safesearch new activated. Restarted again. Flash Player still work okay don't know what CC Cleaner fixed or pulled, but it resolved the problem.
