Intel i7 4790 K

Hello:

Just curious - the work of processor i7 4790K in the following:

HP ENVY Phoenix 810-160

Card mother MS-7826 (Kaili)

I7 processor 4770 3.9 Ghz Turbo

I happen to have a (4790K) gave me a friend (it wouldn't work in Dell system) and want to know if it would work in the above system.  I know there is a big performance gain, etc., I was wondering...

Thanks for any information.

Hello @Mike_Fleharty,

I understand that you wonder if the Quad Core Intel Core i7 4790 (Haswell) 3.6 GHz will work in your Phoenix HP ENVY 810 - 160 desktop PC. Under the upgrade section of the CPU of the PC desktop HP ENVY Phoenix 810 - 160 product specifications page, the answer is YES you can use it as it is one of the supported processors listed for your computer.

I hope that I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Intel 4790 k, 6700 k or k 5820?

I'm building a computer because my old laptop reliable isn't cutting it anymore. I'm torn between 3 transformers. The three processors in that I'm looking are the Intel i7 4790 k, Intel i7 6700 k or Intel i7 5820 k. The problem with the 4790 k is it is a little old and new 6700 k and the better 5820 k will simply be the best dish. I really feel like the 6700 k but all the world has absolutely no idea when the ship and 5820 k its going is a little out of my budget with the x 99 premium. So my question is: can I deal with a k 4790 and build my PC before I risk a drive failure, wait the k of 6700 which would be optimal, or can I throw hearts through the window and spend a ton on the 5820 k and x 99 Council? I'll make the play of light (I know, gaming, xD), 1080 p and future 4 k @ 100mpbs and a decent amout of work After Effects and Photoshop as well. Thank you!

forget the 4790 k, other platforms will be much better. the 99 x i7 - 5820 k will cost around $120 dollars more for the motherboard & cpu on skylake. If you have decided to 4 k, then you should try to get the fastest cpu possible for your budget. x 99 platform has also more memory locations, in order to allow several upgrades memory later. for games, it shouldn't matter much between the CPU of as games are for most drives nowadays GPUs.

the advantage of the i7 - 6700 k is the 4 cores at high clock frequencies. after effects will need a little less ram as there are less than hearts to feed. so if you are tight on the budget from 16 GB of memory, AE would allocate more RAM by thread with the nuclei of 6 4 hearts vs. most of the adobe software has bad programming, which leaves portions of the software impossible to properly multi-thread. so in the programs and situations of the i7 - 6700 k will perform similar or better than the x 99 platform. in some news reports, intel is supposed to be gone a little further with skylake to apply applications not multi-threads between all hearts. This should not be necessary with the 64-bit software, but software as adobe which does not correctly the code, force these types of workarounds to solve software problems. some points of reference I've seen of skylake on a single thread, suggest this new feature does not work or is not really there. so, maybe, these reports are not true, which is too bad.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion 550-044: processor upgrade

    Can I upgrade using a processor intel i7 4790 K 4.0 ghz on a desktop hp pavilion 550-044 design?

    DKinsman1234, welcome to the forum.

This is supported by the motherboard and HP processor upgrades:

    • Socket type: LGA 1150 (Socket-H3)

  • HP ENVY Phoenix 810-445qe: specifications of need on 14.79 GB "Disk 1" labelled "Datadrive1 (e).

I spent the last few days setting up a brand new HP ENVY Phoenix 810 - 445qe I ordered from HP.com. (Information system down in the case, it may be necessary.)

I did what all the new owners of the system should do after you set up the system: I did a DVD repair system, and am about to do my first image with Windows 7 (64 bit) backup.

Of course, when you perform an image backup (which is like making a photocopy of your hard drive to a point in time) you can not store this backup on the same drive you're imaging, for the obvious reason that you can not write to disk at the same time you are Imaging it. If the image backup dialog box gave me three options of storage location:

    (1) Datadrive1 (E)
    (2) WD MyBook external hard drive (G)
    (3) Blu - Ray / DVD / CD drive (F)

I was curious about the "Datadrive1" because I didn't know that's where! I don't me read something about it, then I went to control panel > system and security > ' Create and format hard disk partitions "(under administrative tools on the system menu and security - or the type of management of the computer in the Start Menu) to take a look at the drives and partitions.

This computer was said to come with a SATA 3 TB and because disk 0 is close to 3 TB, with a labeled 100 MB partition "EFI System Partition" a 2779,01 GB NTFS partition labeled "OS (C)" and an "HP RECOVERY (D)." 15,28 labeled GB NTFS partition So, there we have the bootloader partition, the partition of operating system Windows 7 and the HP recovery partition.

But there is also a 'disc 1' labeled 'DATADRIVE1 (E)"formatted as one 14.79 GB NTFS partition. I was surprised to see this data disc, because one of my complaints about HP computers in the past (or at least those available through Best Buy) was that they were always set up with one disc for the operating system and data. (It is always a bad idea to host your data on the same drive that your operating system, because the system disks get use more heavy and are more prone to failure.)

I recognized my Western Digital My Book 1 TB drive disc 2, entitled ' My Book (G) ' and formatted as a single partition NTFS of GB 931,48. It is the external drive only, I am informed, plugged into one of the USB 3.0 ports.

So I called the support for questions on disk 1. Where is he? Is what kind of drive? Is what brand? Etc, etc. HP support officer did not know the answer to that! She told me that my system only comes with an internal hard drive and therefore that * must * be an external drive belonging to me. I have an external USB drive connected but it's G drive.

The only USB devices connected physically are: dongle USB wireless keyboard and mouse from HP; My WD My Book drive; and a HP Photosmart C5180 all-in-One printer with nothing plugged into its card reader, who can't stand not anything on the order of 14.79 GB anyway.

I would like to know the details about this DATADRIVE1, because) I don't really know what it is and if I should write data there and b) do not know how stable the device is. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Want to 810qe of Phoenix: upgrade graphics card on desktop HP Envy Phoenix 810qe

If earlier I wanted a new Phoenix 810qe Desktop (windows version 8) with the following customizations: 4th gen Intel i7 - 4790 k @4.0 Ghz, 16 GB DDR3 - 1600 Mhz (2 DIMM), 2 TB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive, cache SSD 16 GB mSATA, HP WLAN 802.11 DB 2 x MCard BT WIDI 2 ac, 15 in 1 Multi Media Card Reader slot , 6 USB ports (front/back), Audio [before 4USB2.0, 2USB3.0 top of the page], 4 GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 745. I want to know if I could put in an Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 instead of the 745 GTX graphics card. Reading this post on the forum (http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware/Upgrade-My-HP-ENVY-Phoenix-810qe-Desktop/td-p/4679014) I know that the computer has a power of 500w. But in the post, that it seemed that the person asking the question just had basic computer and had not adapted it, and I still have to wonder if the customization that I did for my computer took more watts of the PSU.  Now that I know that the GTX 980 would need 500 all the watts that my computer can offer that I want to know if my computer is perhaps still able to run this beast of a GPU. Anyone have any ideas? If this isn't the case, I think I can just settle for a Geforce GTX 960 because who needs to 400 w of total power of the system. But I'm not even sure that would work on my current computer either. Any help?

  • Predator XB1 not showing 144 Hz?

    Hi all

I just got my Predator XB1 by mail, and for some reason it does not show the ability to use 144 Hz.

    Some basic information:

    Intel i7 - 4790 k 4.0 ghz

    8 GB ram

    10 64-bit Windows

    video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127741

Cable: I use the DisplayPort cable provided by the area of the screen.

Acer has talked on the phone, and they have no idea. Speaking with Nvidia on the phone and they can't seem to understand so far. Does anyone else have this problem?

Edit: Here are a few useful screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/Cygje

Edit: I also have this monitor: http://www.amazon.com/Asus-VG248QE-24-inch-Ergonomic-Back-lit/dp/B00B2HH7G0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1... which will work fine the 144 hz on my video card and computer. I also have this monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4JH2Z36445 and it works 144 hz very well. These two monitors are working through DVI!

It seems that 770 GTX (530 mhz) maximum Pixel clock speed is not fast enough to run the required mhz 587 on the XB217HU at 144 Hz. For reference, the requirements of XB271HU to 2560x1440@120hz Pixel Clock is 497,75 mhz.

  • Office continues to BSOD when encoding

So I had this problem where I always get a BSOD during any type of video encoding.  I have Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 installed on a custom tour that I built. I have two others that I built with the same OS as well and they do not have this problem. They run on different motherboards with different cards tho. As their operating system is installed on a SATA drive where mine is on an SSD, if that matters. Whenever I run the brake hand, MakeMKV, or any other related program my CPU temp rises to 100 degrees C and the activity is between 98 and 100%. After a few minutes, my PC displays blue. I have a cooler H100i Corsair installed as well and it still cannot maintain the low temperature for the encoding. Here's my build that is having problems.

  • Performance issues when coming out of sleep

I recently built a gaming PC. On Christmas day, I finished putting the thing together. It has an Intel i7-4790 CPU running Intel HD Graphics, 8 GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM, an Asus Z97 - A Mobo and a 2 terabyte Seagate HDD. I installed Windows and put everything in place. Then a week later, my MSI GTX 970 arrived in the mail.

So, I take the thing to sleep and decreases the performance of the whole thing. Videos YouTube stutter, simple as games fight of World of Tanks to run at its usual rate of 60 fps. To avoid this, I simply restart my comp and then it works fine. performance is back to normal.

A few weeks, Windows gave me a message on one of the Nvidia drivers causing performance issues when you wake up from sleep. I don't think a lot of it and rejected it. I'll try to reinstall all my Nvidia drivers. I uninstall the Intel HD graphics driver a few days ago and has not changed anything. I would appreciate an answer to this problem because I would like to continue to use the "sleep mode" because it consumes less energy and prolongs the life of my case of LED. Thank you!

  • After the update of 2015.3 - worst preview performance

    Hello Adobe community,

I tried the new version of 2015.3 and I was editing with video 1 AVI (codec FICV) a project of 1080 p 60 fps, video 1 MTS (AVCHD) and 1 WAV file.

I don't see a better performance in this new version. Or at least the same. It's almost the opposite. And I'm afraid to write this...

I did my best to avoid jerky get or lag preview during editing. But now, even pressing on entering and leaving the first to treat the chronology of the "yellow" to the "green" line (which I almost never did before as the GPU has helped me), video preview sometimes gets stuck. Although I repeatedly press SPACEBAR first does not meet him until he wants.

This also happens when I cut part of a video (the second part) and I have the scale, for example. He gets frozen seconds in the preview.

If I reduce the first when this happens and the window of fast food, my preview screen is grey.

I would like to know what could be the error. I asure you that I didn't have these errors so far...

    My PC specs are:

    10 64-bit Windows

    Intel I7 4790 K

16 GB of DDR3 ram (I will dedicate 10gbs of Ram to the first and I do not open any other Adobe software when editing)

    NVIDIA GTX 780ti

Hard drives: SSDS M2 for the software, SATA3 SSD for Scratch (cache, etc.) and 2 TB 7200 RPM for video, audio files and other things.

    Thanks in advance

Someone said this on another thread and it seems to have resolved the same problem for me and a colleague. Edit > preferences > media > uncheck "Enable accelerated h.264 decoding Intel."

  • LR 2015.6 CC (and previous versions) CRASH CONSTANT

    Hello

I experienced constant crashes on LR CC recently. It was an irregular problem, being pretty much since I started using it, but now it is totally useless.

Everytime I go to make adjustments in the develop module, sometimes even just launch LR, it blocks immediately. It won't last more than a minute or two without crashing if I'm working in. I tried to sign in and out of my CC profile, disable the GPU acceleration, updating GPU drivers (even if the accel GPU is disabled) nothing works. It is pretty useless to me now.

It seems that CC crashing constantly is quite common in my research, but nothing seems to solve my problem.

    Data sheet:

    Windows Pro 64-bit 10
    Intel i7 - 4790 K 4.0 GHz
    16 GB OF DDR3 MEMORY
    2 x Radeon R290 4 GB GDDR5
128 GB SSD + 1 TB HARD DRIVE

    What is the next step?

    Hi Christophe,

I'm just curious, if the Suggestion of Edward was followed and it solved the problem for you?   I note the responses of Edwards was marked as correct.

  • Makes to default (RAM problem) for Windows 10

I had problems with makes it default since the update to Windows 10 with the following error message:

After effects error: unable to allocate enough memory to render the current image (1280 x 720 @ 16bpc). Decrease memory for rendering of this framework requirements, or install more RAM. (12805) for more information, see www.adobe.com/go/learn_ae_mem (7: 66) After Effects error: not enough memory Timewarp. (4) (25: 60)

He has no less mid-term to make (at 01:58:22 04:10) after 2 h 57 min. Also my project is 8bpc set in the project settings so why the error says his 16bpc rendering (is this due to an effect)?

    Using the version of EI:

AE CC2015.2 Version 13.7.1.6 (I do not use multiprocessing, in fact I don't see even as an option in the Menu preferred?)

    Plugins:

    Magic Bullet Suite (12.1.4)

    Rendering parameters:

MOV Quicktime H264 with Audio (AAC), 100% quality, 8bpc

    Specifications of the PC:

16 GB of RAM, Intel i7-4790, NVIDIA GeForce 720

Running Windows 10 (1511) 64-bit with any questions, or running Windows 8.1 (6.3 Build 9600) 64-bit without problems.

    QuickTime:

    Version 7.7.9

I have no other applications running while using the AE and rendering. Rendering will end if I set the quality up to 70%, which seemed strange to me because I would have assumed that AE needed to store more information on each image (and images on each side) in order to make the compression. I drove back to 8.1 Win and using the same make settings, him finished in 2:32 with no error. I've also been able to release no compressed Animation QuickTime in 16bpc on 8.1 Win I can't do on 10 to win.

The film is loaded in AE as sequences of images (uncompressed), with a DOF, motion blur, color correct pass - there is a lot of stuff happening on each image, but his uniform in the project. I mean, he didn't suddenly to a framework intensive and abandoned, it not there no difference between managers, that he had failed and the rest of the project. There is nothing he should not be able to manage (and it is worked on Win 8.1).

I'm just confused as to why it would be rendered OK on Win 8.1 but so sluggish and fail on 10 to win? And what can be a solution? Looks like a problem with the RAM not be reconstituted?

The first thing I want to say is that he is a very good question. Thank you.

I'm sure that your AE is updated but make sure. I'm on a Mac so right now our version numbers are different. Because the full architecture is being rebuilt, there is no Multi treatment in 2015 CC.

Make sure that the Magic Bullet is up-to-date. As good that I have not updated my Magic Bullet for a long time because they have a different workflow for the color adjustment.

The problem I see is with the rendering parameters. QuickTime has completely abandoned their support for H.264 in a Quicktime container. He has never worked well, and when he did he was unreliable and slow to render as a delivery format. I would never use this format. If you use Adobe Media Encoder to render your h.264 as a MP4 using one of the predefined default settings then that is the way to go. If you make a computer directly in the SOUL, than rendering through AE output module because AE are running in the background. If you have used the Ray-tracing and have a NVIDIA / map CUDA compatible then the SOUL will not use your GPU for rendering and she will be forever and may not work at all.

I guess that's your pass rendering because you choose a MPEG format which is not really suitable for mounting more far and re - compress. My recommendation would be first purge the cache of your disk and the image in AE and will then return in a production master format adapted from the landmark Render, and then encode your H.264 in the SOUL. Several times, it will be faster that make a model directly in the SOUL. By far the shortest makes time in him come from SOUL of a master of production without loss of quality. Most of the time I just send makes the TEA directly from the AE, and then I continue to work on other shots because I can't afford to wait. It is the most effective for me, but if the project is under a tight delivery deadline I'll usually make a mastery of the production of EI and then compress it in SOUL for delivery.

If you get the error, there could be another thing that past can be fixed by changing the cache settings in the Panel preferences Secret. You access this Panel by holding down the SHIFT key when you open Preferences > General. Disable the Cache layer and serve the latest images.

  • How to disconnect CC for connection to the internet? FACT DELIVER ALL THE CC SLOW PROGRAMS

    Hello

Yesterday, I finally brought the CC, but unfortunately I do not have

could use inside in all it's glory it runs very slowly.

THIS ISN'T DUE TO A PROBLEM OF MY PC.

When I ran Adobe Illustrator, it was extremely slow and laggy.

I suspect it's because of how the CC connects to the internet,

First of all, I would like to try to make the CC so I extremely slow internet

stop automatically connect to the internet, because it's more like problem,

I already turned off file synchronization.

I'm open to other troubleshooting, but this is probably my problem, HOWEVER

don't tell me trying to close other programs and as my PC is more than capable of

    running several things at once.

When I try to start the program, it hangs on "Initializing active" and will not move any further. I thought maybe to leave for a while and go to lunch for an hour and 20 minutes he would give time get past the initialization, but it did not.

Any help is appreciated... and desperately...

Restore preferences.   It's a pain because it erases your settings and extensions but it fixes most start-ups & crash of related problems.

Go to C:\Program Files > Adobe > Dreamweaver CC 2015

Click on the exe Dreamweaver (DW green icon) while now the key Windows + Ctrl + Shift.

When you are prompted, click Yes to restore preferences.

If you have antivirus constantly analyzing your files, you can disable it and run your scans during non working hours.
