Intelli mouse key assignment

I just installed a cord of MS intellimouse (4500 custom) and downloaded the software that has been recommended for this.  The action of the roller wheel does not have its left-right scrolling announced and I can not also to adjust the no. lines skipped with each click of the wheel - it has no place in the installation dialog box to do this.  Any suggestions?  Ways to meet: * e-mail address is removed from the privacy *.

  • .Lnk shortcut keys assigned are not respected on reboot

I like the keyboard shortcuts to common tasks/functions assignment (don't we all?). However, I noticed a distressing problem in which shortcut keys assigned to .lnk files are skipped during restarting and must be reassigned to work again. For example:

Today I tried to "C:\Windows\System32\scrnsave.scr" a .lnk and assigning the shortcut 'Ctrl + Shift + Alt + D' to quickly screen in white. This combination of shortcut keys worked brilliantly until the system has been reset, on which the combo shortcut is more worked except if I reassigned it.

I also tried several months (years?) there is to assign "Ctrl + Shift + '" in Process Explorer (an alternative inheritance to Task Manager), but there again, the shortcut never stuck after restart and I finally gave up to on that. "»

The only shortcut keys combination that never stuck has been assigned "Ctrl + Shift + Alt + X" to capture tool. The only difference in the example above, it's the .lnk file resides on a partition of the BONE (in the "All Users" Start Menu to be precise), so the other two .lnks reside on non-OS partitions.

Any ideas why a concrete example continues to work while others fail to survive a reboot?

  • Why the mouse keys does not work?

I would use MouseKeys in windows to use my keyboard as a mouse, but I was not able to get the function runs.

I am able to activate the MouseKeys without any problem, but by pressing the keys on the numeric keypad does not move the pointer of the mouse at all.

I can see the mouse keys icon in the notification area of the taskbar of windows 7 and I am able to switch between the left and right mouse buttons using the / and - keys on the keyboard, but that's all I can do.

Anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

    Thank you

    Jason

    Hi, thanks for your response.

I found the solution to my problem. Keys mouse was working, but I didn't know it because my mouse speed setting is set to minimum. Although it seemed that nothing was happening when I was pressing the keys on the numeric keypad, the mouse began in fact to move, but only very slowly.

I adjusted my settings of the mouse, and the mouse keys now work properly.

    Thanks again

  • VMware Player disables / disrupts Windows "Mouse keys" feature

Is it true that VMware Player disables (or otherwise disrupts) windows "Mouse keys" feature?

I have created a new account on the Windows machine, activated the "Mouse keys" function ("Start" > "Control Panel" > "Ease of Access Center" > "Make the mouse easier to use" > "Turn on mouse keys").  I then checked only by pressing the keys on the numeric keypad of my keyboard did indeed move the mouse according to this Microsoft Web page: <http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/use-mouse-keys-to-move-the-mouse-pointer >.

I then started VMware Player and run a virtual machine in him.  I noticed that the function "Mouse keys" did not move the cursor within the virtual machine.  However, when I moved the mouse outside the window of the player (using the mouse), on the Windows desktop, then quickly press the pad digital is no longer move the cursor of the mouse.  Even after I left the player, the "Mouse keys" feature is lost.  Windows always shows that the option is selected.  (Turning the option off and then back on does not return the function).

Am I missing something?  How can I retrieve the "Mouse keys" feature or prevent the player that affect it?  (I was testing or not "Mouse keys" would work inside the virtual machine).

    Details:

    Windows 7 Enterprise (Version 6.1 ')

I think I stumbled on the reason for the problem I described.

I think that, somehow, VMware Player tilt one of the parameters that affect Microsoft "mouse keys".  I noticed that in the ' use mouse keys when NUM LOCK is on / off "is set on 'On' rather than 'Off '.  (The setting is in the window by 'Start' > 'Control Panel' > "Ease of Access Center" > "Make the mouse easier to use" > "Set up mouse keys").  When I went to 'OFF', then keys mouse operated correctly again.  (You can also leave the single setting but tilting the NUM LOCK button also allowed head of the mouse buttons is fine.)

So, I work the feature keys of mouse.

  • the mouse keys. Tour of the mouse and use the numeric keypad instead. Does not work...

I need to use the mouse instead of a mouse pad.  I followed the instructions on both pc to get the keyboard to work like a mouse, but it won't work.  What I am doing wrong?  I can't have sticky keys to work as well.

    Hi Carolynmarcel,

    1. Who is the manufacturer of your laptop?
    2. The num Lock is off?

Follow the steps in the link that will guide you to control the mouse using the keyboard below.

    I hope this helps.

  • mouse/key locks board increase after computer idle for long periods of time. any Advisor

I'm having a problem with windows lock-up during idle time.  If I leave the computer for a period extended by time, most often but not always my computer crashes. In other words when I get back, my mouse or my keyboard doesn't work at all. If I left open with unsaved information programs, I lose this info because as my only alternative to get operational again is to shut down the computer manually. Can anyone provide me a help or possible solutions in order to avoid gels of this nature?

    Thank you for your help.

This is possibly due to a slow computer errors and registry. I recommend the following.
CCleaner - will remove the unnecessary files that you don't want

Step 1. Download Ccleaner from http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard
Download it, run the file install Ccleaner, then open Ccleaner.

Step 2. Click run cleaner once you have checked all you don't want on your computer. This will clean up unnecessary files, you don't want to. CCleaner also comes with a registry cleaner.

Step 3. To run this registry click on the left side of the window, and then click scan for issues, difficulty of the selected questions, click on no to the box that opens, and then click fix all selected issues. This should clean all files that is no longer usable.

Defragment your drive hard by: Windows Defragmenter to help. I use defraggler from the makers of Ccleaner because it defragments the individual files.

If problems or questions please answer.
Answer if you want to know how to install defraggler too!

  • Can I assign special keys to move the mouse?

Original title: is there a way I can control (similar to the mouse keys) mouse with key other than the numeric keypad? I would move the mouse and then click on some of the keys of the alphabet.

I want to do the following:

    Move down with the Q
    Click on with W
    Move down with e.
    Click on with R
    Etc, etc.
I know a lot about the mouse, key and others, but I do not know how to assign specific tasks to a specific key, especially outside those on the numeric keypad.

  • HP50g - assign the submenu of debugging to a key in user mode

How to assign the submenu of debugging (in Lshift/PRG/RUN) to a key?

    Thank you

It's menu 41, so if you set < < MENU 41 > > a key, which will display the Debug menu.

This is a very key assignment practice: < < 41 MENU DBUG > >.  It takes a program (or the name of a program) at level 1 of the battery and running the debugger on it, with the Debug menu is displayed.  I keep assigned to leftshift-wedge-PRG (i.e. keycode 42.21).

  • HP 15.6 laptop Smart Touch: cannot move my mouse while pressing the keys

Hello, I play a lot of games on my laptop and most of them need to press the keys on the laptop, while simultaneously using the mouse pad. For some reason any, whenever I use the mouse keys crashes until I'm removing my hand from the key. Is any way to stop this?

    Jayblazing, welcome to the forum.

I am not sure that would cause your problem.  However, I would like to recommend that you try to use a USB mouse for games.

As you can see in my signature below, I have a laptop HP Omen's game.  I use a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 with her.  It is not the absolute solution, but it is easier to use the touchpad.  At least, for me.

Thanks for asking! As I understand it, you can't click with your mouse, during a display of Control (UAC) user account command prompt. However, you are able to press ENTER / TAB / arrow keys and use the keyboard to choose and keep. Is this correct?

It is a known problem, and there is a recommended fix.

  • Scrolling the mouse will pass only volume in the mixer volume if flying over directly.

By clicking on the mixer volume bottom right of your taskbar displays the master volume mixer. It's a mouse button assigning app called 'X - Mouse Button Control' I use this app to assign my 4 and 5 mouse button to the multimedia keys. • 8 key does not work.

My 8 key stopped working one day. I learned its water damage. I have already reset the keyboard and did the reset of the speech thing.

Is it possible to make the '[' key function as a key "8"?

    Thank you

You may be able to re - assign the keys of other actions. There are methods.

A repair of the key itself may be possible. Dust and other debris can be under it.

There is a small bar and another part on the inside. Of course water damage can be

doing something for the real electric component under the bits of the key. Which can cost.

See powerbookmedic.com for keyboards and ifixit guide to see if you can do it.

A visit to an Apple Store with genius, or an Apple authorized service provider can help.

The idea is better accessed with a reserve of appointment ahead.

Another idea, to obtain, may be to use the viewer keyboard and mouse - click on the numbers

Or see what accessibility can do, when you check out the mouse keys.

    Good luck in this case!

  • Microsoft Sidewinder mouse macros

I have a Sidewinder mouse, and sometimes, mid-game, a macro will be saved and somehow assigned to my right mouse button. I can say that I'm not hitting the button Macro record once (not to mention twice, then it will stop recording), and I'm CERTAINLY not enter the properties of the mouse and assign this macro to the button on the right. Can someone tell me how it goes, because it gets REALLY annoying and sometimes very frustrating difficulty? I think it's the Sidewinder X 6, it is wired with the adjustable weight and LED. Thanks for any help.
    Steve

    Hi sfreemanoh,

Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of Windows Vista.

You have a recordable keyboard macros as well?

Sometimes, it may happen that during the game, you could hit a key on the keyboard that allows macros to the registration option and you think it's the mouse.

You can check in Control Panel for the keyboard settings, and I will also recommend to re - check the properties of the mouse in the control panel if there are all the macros settings assigned to your right mouse button.

You can also try to update the software of the driver for the keyboard and mouse. You can use the following link for the same thing:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/hardware/download/DownloadResult.aspx?category=MK&type=mouse&name=m_sidewinderx8&OS=WVista_32&lang=en

Also, I would like to know what game play you and it happens to the same particular phase of the game or any time during the game.

Can you also inform me if this happens all in playing a game in particular or with any game?

    Thank you & best regards
