TestStand 2013 is compatible with Visual Studio 2013?  Has anyone used together?

Code modules you build should be compatible/executables, however integration between TestStand and Visual Studio 2013 (for help debugging and development, for example the code patterns, step in the input/output between TestStand and Visual Studio and includes the updated paths automatically in Visual Studio) may not work correctly in all cases since Visual Studio 2013 is out after 2013 TestStand.

My understanding is that most of the things do not work, a few known minor issues are integration of help file does not and TestStand to what version of Visual Studio, the projects that you specify for the source of a specification of the step code section are not recognize.

  • Visual Studio 2013 tabs are endangered

    Good afternoon

As seen below, I'm supposed to have 5 tabs that should appear in the tab bar, but only 3 are seen. The others I can retrieve only by clicking the arrow to the right.

This happens very often and for no apparent reason

Looks like a bug in Visual Studio 2013 for me

How can I get all the tabs is displayed? It's really annoying

Note that I also display tabs pinned on a separate selected line.

  • Visual Studio 2013 RC2 - BlackBerry Native plugin

Plugin Native of BlackBerry for Visual Studio 2013 v2.0 does not appear to function, at least not as it is indicated in the help, on my development computer documentation.

I was wondering if anyone else has problems with this. I had tried for a week to run a month or two before, but nothing helped. I found this article http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Native-Development/Visual-Studio-Plugin-2-0-does-not-show-up-...

Not quite sure how I could have missed the first time.

If anyone can make me market I would really appreciate it. The plugin installs perfectly though I can tell. I moved this discussion directories above in the actual installation. As it was before the add-in Manager shows that the plugin is available. I should probably do a search for add-in visual studio of 2013 Manager see if there is anything beyond the simple window it shows. It only indicates if it is installed and if the startup is checked.

I could use some suggestions, to help me on the right train of thought.

Creates a junction in program (x 86) and it had a link to the installation directory. Reinstalled and it worked. Much easier to fix once you learn that it does not install the installation directory, but rather the default installation directory.

  • Visual Studio 2013 installation Failed packages - been trying for 2 days

I spent over 2 solid days now trying all possible ways to install Visual Studio Premium to 2013 (update 2) without success, so it's time to post.

    Here's what I've tried:

    • Install the web installer - I get quickly "package not found" errors for one single package after another, and selecting the GET in internet option fails
    • Download and mount the iso - the same as before
    • You want to burn the ISO on a DVD, but more than 6 GB, it is too big.
    • With either of the above, tried pointing to the so-called lack of dll in the packages folder in the ISO image and that didn't work either.
    • Tried to apply certificates root in accordance with this article, even though I've never seen any messages during the installation of updates to the certificate.

    Other things of note:

    • I tried connected to my LAN to work as well as at home, in the case where there was a proxy issue with getting packages.
    • Last night, I was optimistic that a repair on the installation should work, because I did not "package not found" errors, and the Setup program ran the longest he has ever run, but in the end, he had a huge list of errors 'Package failed.
    • Each time, after that, Visual Studio 2013 appears is in "appwiz.cpl" list and I can actually run it, but I don't feel comfortable relying on it enough to uninstall VS 2012 with all the errors.
    • When I look in the list of packages failed, I noticed that many of them are actually installed programs already in appwiz, so I don't really know what is happening.

Here's what looks like my most recent end-of-install window:

Here is the complete list of defective packets of the window above. As I said, many are apparently already installed. If it's 2012 VS I who works, or if she really moving and package failed warning is bad, I don't know:

I can't believe that a software installation is this difficult. Such things should work. The one other thing I'll try is, since I have IE8 currently, which is the place of standard work, can I get IE11. I have not much hope that this will solve all my problems, but I'm out of ideas. The other thing is maybe uninstall VS2012 and all the countless things I guess got installed with who, although a) I don't want to lose the VS who works where I can't get a return and 2) I'm not sure which are standard for the Windows 7 system and who came with VS. The last option, as I said, is that, perhaps, all is well with VS2013, despite the warnings. I don't want 2 versions on because they take up a lot of space, but yet again, I hesitate to share a work perfectly VS2012 for a possibly buggy VS2013 if she is not everything he needs.

    Why is it so difficult?

  • Comparison of schemas in Visual Studio 2013 tool

    Hello

I have Visual Studio 2013 and that you have installed ODT 12.1.0.1.2.  I'm looking to use the schema comparison tool to validate a new Oracle server which is setup is similar to an existing server.  There are a dozen about the patterns that I am trying to validate using the tool.  The connection that I received an envelope has visibility to these patterns and I am able to see the database objects in these patterns by using Server Explorer by adjusting the filter on the connection to show them in the tree.  The schema owned by the connection has no useful data and is not part of the validation process.

When I start the schema comparison tool, it requires connections source and target.  I select as appropriate links have been implemented in Server Explorer.  However, the tool seems to only compare the schema owned by the connection and I found no option to select another schema.  Is this possible?  Or is the tool that is wired to the schema owned by the connection?

(Sorry for any incorrect terminology.  I do not normally deal with Oracle databases).

    Thanks in advance.

You're not offbase. The user interface can be a bit more elegant, so there is no confusion between "User" and "Schema".

But the main thing is that this tool will not allow you to compare the schemas that you do not own.

One way to look at it, it's that this tool is more than a visual comparison tool. In fact, the case of the main use of this tool is to generate a diff between the two schemas script. If you select access only on a part of a pattern of you won't be able to edit with any script generated diff anyway.

For your short term needs, see comparison diagram of the SQL Developer to see if they allow this (I'm not sure).

  • How to use the InDesign SDK on Visual Studio 2013 for C++ project?

I had a stuck on my research on 'use InDesign SDK to develop a plugin for InDesign'. Through my research, I tried to launch a sample project comes with the SDK in Visual Studio 2013 (note that all the examples of projects are using C++). Also, I have many questions about InDesign to apply for assistance, but long unanswered forum post. And this final change that I need your help to continue my research on this issue. The issue is described as follows:

    • Document involved: plugin_sdk_CC2015_072_20150618.zip (year SDK InDesign-downloaded from the Adobe site - http://www.adobe.com/devnet/indesign/sdk.html)
    • Development environment: Visual Studio 2013 (C++)
    • I followed the guideline in the folder "plugin\docs\html\index.html".
    • I opened a sample project in the folder "plugin\build\win\prj" Visual Studio 2013.
    • In the Visual Studio 2013 window, I click on "Local Windows Debuggeer" to run the project. But after compiling the project, it generated an error message and the project cannot run more.

Note: All draft documents and sample are belong to InDesign SDK.

I stuck there and could not find a solution for this problem yet, I followed the document of InDesing SDK strictly. Finally, the purpose of this research is to create a sample for InDesign plugin.

    Kind regards

  • RoboHelp 11 is compatible with Visual Studio 2013 for source code control?

About to move our RoboHelp 11 projects to source control. We have MS Visual Studio 2013. Are they compatible?

Yes. You need to install the 32-bit MSCCI-provider to make it work. Then, it's a walk in the Park.

Here are the steps to follow to implement: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/robohelp/articles/robohelp-tfs-integration.html

The article is a little old, but the steps are the same for VS2013.

  • ODT for Visual Studio 2013

    Hello

News about when Visual Studio 2013 (now released) will be supported?

Or, is it possible (tip) to get the previous ODT to work with VS 2013?

    Thank you.

No news on a release date yet. We will announce on http://otn.oracle.com/dotnet when it is available. I don't think you can force older versions to work with it either, and I know there are problems with it, even if you have managed to do.
