Interface pays PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 to PeopleSoft HRMS 7.5

Our customer wants to spend PS HRMS 7.5 to PS HCM 9.1, but since it is not supported and must be multi step if carried out by the upgrade, we expect rather to implement PS HCM 9.1. We intend to do in the various phases and in the initial phase, will be implemented PS HCM 9.1 but payroll is always performed on HRMS 7.5 and HR data will be maintained by 9.1.

My question is, can we use the supplied PS feature 'PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 Payroll Interface' interface of HR data to 7.5? I read in PeopleBooks that...
PeopleSoft Enterprise interface is a generic and piloted by the export table and import engine which allows you to
Exchange data between the PeopleSoft Enterprise HRMS and a third-party payroll system.
I understand that the third party payroll system usually refers to system non-PS as ADP or "SAP", but in this case, the 7.5 PS can be considered third-party payroll system?
Is this the right way to go, or should just manually export us data 9.1 hr (by developing custom AEs or SQR) to import 7.5, which is required to run a list of payroll?
Can someone please shed some light on how run/install an interface pays? How it is difficult to install? A rough estimate on the implementation of the interface pays?
IM would be really grateful to receive a few entries.

I advise you to take this path.
UO PS payroll configuration is quite complex and requires also to have Cobols to compile.

You should also be aware that changed HCM is datamodel from HCM 8.9 presenting the model of the person.

I would advise certainly you be upgraded in several steps, which would ensure the proper conversion of the data to the new datamodel.
Or re-implement HCM 9.1 and component Interfaces allows you to load data from 7.5 to 9.1.
In the latter case, you will need to write your own conversion script.

  • PeopleSoft HRMS 9.1 <>OPA 10.4 batch processor using tables db - exp/advice?

    The members of the forum - I'm looking for anyone who has experience in the integration of PeopleSoft Enterprise HRMS 9.1 with the OPA 10.4 batch using PeopleSoft dbase tables that can be easily accessed in program AE/SQR. Due to the requirements of very high flow with a large client company... thanks to the integration of service WSDL/IB/web is out of the question.

    In addition, this integration must be very reliable (IB tends to error intermittently).

    If someone on this forum has done this? This client will present high daily OPA treatment... so dosage determination it upwards on a recurrence of an EI program and entry into a writing table... pending batch OPA 10.4 at trigger/complete...and then read results in application pages PeopleSoft HRMS 9.1 since output table seems the way to go...

    IB = Integration Broker.
    If you can fix or improve the separate question of the slightest error of IB then the web service call (determination server) should give you the performance you need, based on the volumes that you mentioned.
    Otherwise, you could look on the applicability of your page PeopleCode using Java to make a direct call to the engine of determination (and without going through the IB).

    We intend to upgrade our tools to 8.54 version in order to view the capabilities of fluid. We actually completed the upgrade of the tools (test instance), but later realized it takes also minimum image PUM 8 or greater?

    Is this correct? Because after our upgrade of test was not the fluid related whitelists / etc in the upgraded instance roles.

    By improving the tool to 8.54, you will be able to develop a new fluid user interface definitions, but you can use fluid UI comes with application of HCM.

    From the technical point of view, below are the points that I have collected:

    a. Peoplesoft has its own programming language called 'PeopleCode' which is used to write the application code. Oracle HRMS made of open like Java, SQL and PL/SQL technologies.

    b. in people soft objects DB usage is limited to the existing entities, which can be extended by adding custom attributes. It provides that a propritery GUI based IDE to perform all these operations. Where as to make a change in the Oracle HRMS considerable effort must be put in the bleachers of varius as level of Java, middle tier etc..

    c. people Soft can be deployed on a database such as MySQL, etc while the Oracle must be configured on the Oracle DB version only.

    d. Specfic to HRMS processes such as applicant in hiring and promotion are similar in nature and the date of follow-up is similar in both products.

    e. a typical example of how the employee record is maintained in both the system is:
    PeopleSoft: There is a table called JOB that records details of the assignment of the person. As the assignment of employees exchange a new record is added
    at the table with the entry into force
    Oracle: The details of the person and details of assignments are managed in separate tables, ex: PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F and PER_ALL_ASSIGNMENTS_F

    (f) apart from the above, the roles and responsibilities are modeled in each of them in more or less similar trends.

    I had these excerpts from a PeopleSoftian for a short period of meeting. So consider simple basic differernces...

  • Installation of PeopleSoft HRMS (MS SQL Server 2005)

    I try to install HRMS with MS SQL Server 2005 database. I'm running a few problems when I'm doing the installation of PeopleSoft database with database configuration Assistant.

    Here is the error message:

    ERROR: Setup is unable to connect to SQL Server in the system. The error
    message is:

    Error in reading C:\HRMS9.0/log/mssqlversion.log

    Please make sure that SQL Server is running in the system. The minimum
    supported version is SQL Server 2000. Please click 'Back' to correct the
    problems or click 'Cancel' to exit.

    I get the above error when Sql server is running and that I could not find the mentioned above HRMS9.0/log file...

    Depending on what you want to do with your database:
    1. a DEMO database, choose demo that contains sample data, use the database training or dev
    2. a SYSTEM of database, choose the system that is not contains examples of data use to UAT and production database
    3. a database of Peopletools system, contains the request data (data Peopletools), for some very specific use like performance monitoring

    The character set is also based on what you consider the language in. If only English, or only Latin characters, then Western Europe would be a good choice.

  • PeopleSoft data integrity error (124,85)

    Hi all

    Today, some users trying to access different components face "data integrity error (124,85). This occurred with different users to different components as well.

    When I checked my logs, I found the following.

    Version of the PeopleCode program changed by calling the DEPT_ASSOC_UPDATE. Max version was 1, now 32

    Data integrity error (124,85)

    I checked the support of oracle and other forums as well, they suggested me to run the VERSION of AE. After you run the VERSION of AE, problems have been resolved and the user wasn't more questions.

    I was looking for the cause of this problem, but did not have a lot of details on this. MOS Doc ID 611688.1 were not mentioned in any cause as well.


    There has not been change code to our PeopleSoft system for more than a month.


    If someone of you can help me to understand why this issue of the integrity of the data occurs?


    Also CACHE corruption have any part to play in this regard?

    While I was working for another client, I faced similar problems (often wrong). I'm not sure it was just a coincidence, I worked on almost 12 different Production systems and seem to face these problem only in PeopleSoft HRMS systems.

    Present several different issues here and I'll provide a few comments help the discussion along.  Sorry, but this can be long... you are wading in deep waters.

    1. you mention that the AE Version helped and that the symptoms were not seen after that.  Which suggests a version can be resolved the corruption.  Please do not forget the you run the version of most of the EI of the Version of 611565.1 that we have worked hard to make sure he could be running in enhanced mode without taking the system down.

    2. you have indicated that the object that had version conflicts has been the «... the component DEPT_ASSOC_UPDATE...» ", emphasis added.  Normally, items are managed in the projects, so I normally start here.  Component, files, etc are migrated in the projects, so if you can find a project that has been migrated at the time, the problem started, you might have a corrupted project.  The survey should attempt to address first of all 'what has changed?' and then ' who/how did it changed do?

    3. prior to go further, be sure that when you have version corruptions in a database, e.g. PROD, you run the AE Version on ANY database that feed on projects in this database, for example TCT, DEV, etc.  A corrupt database can pass a corrupted to an other database - as much as we try to prevent this.

    4. the versions are a balancing between the PSVERSION and the PS Act * Definition and others, but let's keep things simple for now.  In the case of a project, the PSVERSION. PJM line must match the version MAX of the PSPROJECTDEFN table.  If you are interested, crack open the latest Version of AE and you will see an InitArrays function that describes the relationship between the people.  It will be a "secret decoder ring" while you're working through this.

    5. If you do some creative SQL, you can identify the OPRID and last modified date/time for the line in the PSPROJECTDEFN table max, and sometimes that will point to a problem.  Sometimes, if you see errors of version from some time, you can map it to a migration that occurred in and around that time.  Yet once, spend time with a query tool and look at this chart.  "Corrupt projects are often the result of the sessions App Designer who have been 'put to sleep' say a weekend ' and then woke up without login back.  Using this method, you can sometimes identify the culprit if that is the problem. (It was in the previous version of the KM, but I took it out when I rewrote the current version).

    6. you said that the problem has emerged from a component that is corrupt.  If this is the case, I would look at RDM/PSRECDEFN incompatibilities/fingerprints.  If you look closely, the RDM is associated with several tables, so I would double check all those.

    7. Finally, I can the big white elephant in the room - direct SQL access.  Some applications have been known to directly manipulate the content of PeopleTools tables, which is more unfortunately, because that condemn us customers that do. (I saw this code in more SQR).  Since the relationship between the various tables of Manager (PS * Definition) and the PSVERSION line isn't exactly trivial, a simple update can break this relationship.  (See my comments in the previous footnote.)  I OFTEN see this when you import new users in the PSOPRDEFN table, but the symptom does not match you. If you find a table that appears corrupted, you could search by PeopleCode/Source code to see if this object is manipulated directly anywhere.  If you find an instance in the provided code, please open an SR and ask that it be repaired.  If you find it in custom code... shame on you.

    1-oracle 10g disk D:\ with oracle folder

    2. create the disc database with file oradata D:\

    3. install BEA Web logic install in the C:\ drive

    4. install Tuxedo 9.1 on window install in the C:\ drive

    5. install peopletool 8.49 installed in the PT8.49 folder for the drive D:\

    6 install peoplesoft HRMS and 9.0 Solution Campus even enterprise installation folder where to install the peopletool

    7 - let the Multi language because it is optional.

    8-running Script database (database script as given in manual)

    one -utlspace.sql (run the manual script given accordingly) message showed created synonym Grant succeeds created view

    b dbowner.sql (message showed,(ORA-00959) 'PSDefault' does exist no.

    other remaining script files are in the meantime, PSDEFAULT is main who cannot create the creation of this PSDEFAULT

    Help me please to run the script of theses

    Sorry for reply late because I don't have internet facility, basically I solved that issue, I was the database delete and listener and recreate the database and reconfigure the listener and connect work very well and any script work correctly.

    I installed the oracle database 11g, Tuxedo weblogic 9.2, 9.1, PeopleTools 8.49 (without patch) and of the HRMS Peoplesoft Campus Solutions 9.0 and Enterprise.

    during the creation of the database, he said that peoplesoft offers scripts to make the database. I think they are createdb10.sql, dbowner.sql, psrole.sql, psadmin.sql, connect.sql in the unix/scripts folder. But I don't accept anything hcddl.sql. Very confusing.

  • Cannot see HRMS app in listbox Application Peoplesoft Data Mover

    First of all, my setup is:

    Microsoft Windows Server 2003
    Database Oracle 10 g rel 2.
    PeopleTools 8.49
    HRMS 9.0

    I'm trying to install peoplesoft HRMS for learning purposes.

    I'm at the stage of the installation where I use data mover to create scripts to import for the creation of the database. I run Data Mover signature as SYSADM and select configuration database from the file menu. In the select the Peoplesoft Application screen, I check the demo but don't see any application in Peoplesoft Applications drop-down list. Even if I select the system option button, I see "PeopleTools database system - American English" as the only application.

    Does anyone know why this is?

  • HCM 9.1 Menus in Portal Enterprise integration

    Hi I installed PeopleSoft HRMS 9.1 with Peopletools 8.50 and PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal with Peopletools 8.50.
    The two are on different databases, and Single Sign On between them has been implemented.
    Now, I want to add Menu entries and links to HCM Instance in the MOU.
    for example. all the HRMS installation folder.
    Is it possible, please suggest how to proceed.

    What you will do essentially is a node that points to your configuration HCM environment. Then, you will be able to indicate the links in the menu components in your environment of HCM.

    I'm doing the functional research of the dashboard in PeopleSoft HRMS application. But I can't find the components of the dashboard navigation in HRMS 9.1 FP1 (pt 8.52). I need to intall the HRMS Portal pack so that navigation would appear?
    For the portal application, I don't have a lot of experience on this? You know the difference between HRMS Portal pack and portal solution?

    Do you mean the delivered Dashboard Manager Dashboard and Talent Summary dashboard etc.
    If so, these come with HCM Feature Pack 2.

    If you mean the dashboard feature to create your own dashboard, which is a feature of PeopleTools, it's available, so no need to install additional patches.

    I'm a freshness. And was selected in syntelinc plsql developer. And now currently assigned a project Peoplesoft CRM training for a month.

    I heard a lot of the decline of Peoplesoft. Should I look for other solutions? I was very excited to relaunch my career with passion and everything, but now I can't trust if the technology would exist in the near future.

    There will be upgrades in peoplesoft or will everything stopped and I still learn new things and once again struggled to settle down with a new job?

    In my view, it will continue to be demand for PeopleSoft developers for a long time. Look at the number of COBOL programmers still in employment. Even if each client PeopleSoft decided to move to another platform, probably not, there is so much investment in ERP implementations and customizations that it would take many years.

    To answer your specific questions:

    Oracle is committed to continue upgrades of PeopleSoft tools and applications and has delivered 9.1 over the past year. There was some major updates for Oracle PeopleSoft acquisition.

    CRM is a functional set of modules for sale and service based on the common platform of PeopleTools.

    (3) could I use my experience in Peoplesoft to switch to any other ERP (SAP, Salesforce, etc) or should I first learn the other technology to find a job?
    Yes and no. Your PeopleSoft experience will add a lot of value to understand the CRM applications and their features, but application-specific features will vary.

    (4) is there a big diferrence between Peoplesoft HRMS and Peoplesoft CRM and Peoplesoft Finance? I will be able to easily switch between these modules by using my experience in CRM?
    It depends on if you are doing a job more functional or technical. The underlying technology is the same between CRM, financials and HCM. So if you are a developer, you use the same set of tools. Functionality varies.
