• 'Internal error' promotion of a virtual server W2008 R2 DC / dcpromo

  This is my first post here and I hope you can help me... I'm not a beginner, but I'm stuck here and spent hours looking for advice, but nothing helped.

  First of all my configuration:

  New HP Proliant DL 380 G6 Xeon 5520, 16 GB RAM, 4 x 146 GB HARD drive

  VMware ESXi 4.0 (current version) installed via CD

  HP Windows 2008 R2 Standard, 64-bit (version OEM/ROK)

  My goal: Configuration to the top of a new Win2008 R2 domain controller, adding to the current domain, migrate existing physical W2003 Server server roles to the new virtual W2008 server.

  First of all, I had the problem that the OEM of Windows Server 2008 version does not recognize the HP host, the Installation was interrupted with (no valid HP hardware).

  The evenlog of the current domain controller shows no errors. Only successful connect/disconnect messages and messages service serveral without errors.

  I spent a few hours looking for advice and I tried the following:

  -Restart servers

  -Disable firewalls

  -Uninstall of DNS and AD role and try again

  -Implementation of domain administrator local administrator password

  -Uninstall VMware Tools

  Any chance you have different MTU somewhere in the network between the physical and the virtual machine?

  Are all your FSMO roles upward?

  All the clocks synchronized?

  You can also try to create a new AD account and add it to domain groups and business administrator and use it during dcpromo.

  Since no one answered my call, I sat and researched and studied WaveBurner behavior and I can myself answer my question and solve. Since there were a lot of people asking similar questions on WaveBurner files I will post what I learned.

  Whenever you drop your audio files in the list window to make your WaveBurner CD copy not copy your audio files, but relies on the original audio file, where they are located. So whenever you move the files orig. and you open WaveBurner, it can't find those and displays an error window to suggest it will search for the missing file or if you know where he is now lets you find manually. WaveBurner usually place the .wb3 project file that contains everything including your home folder.

  For this reason, I reserve now an audio file WaveBurner also folder in my home folder. In order to save themselves from WaveBurner cannot find the audio file, all audio files that I do, I put in my folder of audio files WaveBurner first, then copy them in WaveBurner from there.
