    Suggestions;

    1. make sure that your e-mail program is your default program.

    2. make sure that your Internet Explorer, or your main browser has all its faults.

You can do both of the above by following these steps...

Start button > right column, click default programs > click Set Your Default programs...

    1. click on your e-mail program > it doesn't say "this program has all its defaults"?
If not, click on choose by default for this program > check all boxes below the list > click on save when finished.

2 do the same as above for your Internet Explorer, or your main browser.

    Hi Dean,

Built-in Administrator account does not have a split token and metro apps may not work under full administrator token. So metro apps cannot be turned on with the built-in Administrator account.

I recommend you create a new user account to access the User Interface modern apps.

  • Internet Explorer cannot display webpage then on the internet by clicking on a link on a Web page

When you are connected to the internet, I can't click links on a Web site.  Clicking on makes me an error "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".  For example, I'm on FamilyFun.com I try to print a page coloring for my daughter.  I choose the one she wants, but when I click on 'see full size and print it' I get the error message.  I tried disabaling the modules and software McAfee and install IE9.  None of these works.

    Isadore salvation,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community!

You cannot use Picasa get message that Internet Explorer can not open the program.

The question is perhaps because of settings or firewall.

I suggest you to refer to the procedure described in the site:

    Download Troubleshooting

    http://Cat.Microsoft.com/ticket.aspx?ID=908433&threadintid=908433&forumid=5&ThreadId=0c5a0295-efd9-4f34-9ED5-98d4374e30bf

Important note: firewall can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your firewall. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your firewall software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

I hope this helps. If the problem persists, let know us and we would be happy to help you.

  • Illustrator CC 2015 (just load) + Frame11 - linked file 'is in an unknown format and cannot be opened.

I have a frame of the file which worked fine before CC today updated to 2015 of Illustrator.

    I use FrameMaker 11.

My .doc file includes a linked object (.ai file, created using Illustrator CC 2014).

My (Windows) file associations have files .ai configurΘ for dΘmarrer with Illustrator CC 2014.

In Windows Explorer, I copied the .ai file linked to a different name (make a Variant).

Then in frame, tried to insert the object by browsing to it and then choosing 'link '.

After a break for awhile, an Adobe Illustrator dialog box appeared:
"The file 'foobar.ai' is in an unknown format and cannot be opened."

Clicked OK, then began and the CC2015 file.

Resaved the file CC2015, tried, same question.

Tried to insert the * original * file (which is already inserted in another point in the doc), same problem.

In the framework, if I double-click on the * original * linked object, it starts CC * 2014 * and opens the file.

    Then... nutshell version:

Since Illustrator CC 2015 loaded this morning, I can't introduce any .ai objects in my FrameMaker docs (including the objects currently inserted elsewhere in the doc). I can even * open * objects that are currently linked in the file (they open with CC2014).

Is there something I need to do, or do I just uninstall Illustrator 2015 for now?

    jaggedpeak,

You can try changing the file associated with the CC 2015; You can always reset.

There are some strange things going on, and some have decided to go back to CC, 2014.

I hope someone at our friends at Adobe staff there see you soon.

  • Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage

Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage, it is my problem. as a side note, I can use OE and play games online without any problem. On the same computer with a 'new' profile, I can navigate without problem but cannot use OE or OUTLOOK, I am running XP Pro service pack 3 with MS Security Essentials and Malwarebytes on a daily analysis. I reset IE8, (that is to say, options, advanced, reset) I ran the BHO Remover which is so widely recommended here on the forums without any problem. I ran sfc/scannow as admin also ipconfig/flushdns nbtstat nbtstat - RR netsh int reset r all netsh int ip reset netsh winsock reset deleted browsing history and made sure that doubling that all cookies are gone. Ran disk cleanup, then everything is represented. Still having the same problem after a 1 successful logon and browsing session. Suggestions out side of the nuclear option of reformatting and reinstalling?

Assuming that all is well in the new user account, it can be easier to copy the data from the old to the new user account, and then delete the old.
