Invalid Java home

I try to install WebLogic on a Cent - OS 64-bit server. I read the instructions in all directions but no matter what I try I get the error message "Invalid Java Home" when I get to the selection section of the JDK. I tried the interactive and graphic mode with the same results. I don't seem to be able to generate a log file either. What am I home I guess to this point? I have the installation jar file to the following location:

/Oracle/software/WebLogic_Server/wls1035_generic.jar

I have the JAVA_HOME for /usr/java/jre1.6.0_18 and the path set to $JAVA_HOME/bin: $PATH or usr/java/jre1.6.0_18/bin:/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:/home/emgc/bin. I also checked that there is lots of space available.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello

Looks like you usr a JRE and not a JDK. As far as I know that you need a JDK and JRE not only.
You must point to a JDK home, at least that's what I've always done.

What about Peter

    Hi jberry,.

    HQ Agent bundles come with JRE 1.4, unless you use a bundle of no. - JRE that your agents run with JRE 1.4 (even if you have installed 1.6). If this is the case, you can set HQ_JAVA_HOME to your home of java 1.6 and restart the agent. Optionally, you can also pass java House in command-line (see format below)

    We had the errors caused by the obvious lack of attributes, but those who went away after we have added.

    Everyone knows what could be the problem?

    Solved. The solution was in a fairly simple manner.

    Customers needed to add the following in their {java.home}\lib\security\java.policy file:}

    grant codeBase "https://mydomain.com:443" {
         permission java.io.SerializablePermission "enableSubclassImplementation";

    My application needs to exec a child java app, but the jre included in my package with javafxpackager isn't a java executable. What is the best way to get this in here?

    I tried to add it as a srcfile, but it is included without the executable bit set.

    It worked well on Windows, too, so far. My code looks like this:

    // Get Java command
    String java = System.getProperty("java.home") + File.separator + "bin" + File.separator + "java";

    // If Mac .app, use .app executable instead
    if(java.contains(".app/Contents/")) { int index = java.indexOf(".app/Contents/") + 14;
        java = java.substring(0, index) + "MacOS/MyApp"; }

    // If Windows, use .exe executable instead
    else if(java.contains("AppData\\Local")) { int index = java.indexOf("MyApp\\") + "MyApp".length();
        java = java.substring(0, index) + "MyApp"; }

  • Java and Oracle XE Configuration

    Hello

    I'm having a problem getting Oracle Containers for Java to work with OracleXE and the JRE from SQL Developer

    I'm on a Windows System.
    OracleXE - 10.g
    Apex - 4.0.1
    Developer SQL - 2.1.1.64
    Java.home to the developer SQL - C:\oracle\app\oracle\product\sqldeveloper\jdk\jre

    Windows (user) environment variables
    JAVA_HOME - C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\sqldeveloper\jdk\jre
    ORACLE_HOME - C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server

    I unzipped oc4j_extended_101350.zip so that the path to the bin folder:
    C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\oc4j\bin

    I opened an (Administrator) command prompt in the oc4j\bin directory and tell him "oc4j - start".
    and I get the message: "error: cannot find C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\j2ee\home\config\server.xml".
    I noticed that the server.xml file is loacted in the C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\oc4j\j2ee\home\config directory.

    If I change the C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\oc4j ORACLE_HOME directory, 'oc4j - start' order seems to work OK. However this change to ORACLE_HOME will cause problems with the backup, restore, etc.

    I must be missing something. Is there an other environment variable that I'm missing? I install something in the wrong directory?

    Thanks for looking at this.

    I found my problem. The version of SQL Developer I downloaded (64-bit windows) doesn't have a good working jdk. Also, in navigation, I noticed a reference to the variable ORACLE_HOME of environmental assessments of Windows is not the same as ORACLE_HOME referenced in oc4j.cmd. To solve the problem of oc4j on my 64-bit computer, I did the following:
    -Downloaded from oracle file: jdk-6u24 - windowsx64.exe
    -Extract to the folder C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\jdk1.6.024.
    -Change my value of the JAVA_HOME variable in this same directory.
    To fix the ORACLE_HOME, I did the following:
    -Edited the C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\oc4j\bin\oc4j.cmd file I used Wordpad.
    -The CONFIGURATION of STARTUP, and before the line SECTION placed J2EE_HOME=%ORACLE_HOME%\j2ee\home
    -Insert the line: "set ORACLE_HOME = C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\oc4j."
    -(I think it has replaced the Windows environment only within this program Variable)
    Note:
    Once an Environment Variable is modified or created, the CMD prompt window must be closed and a new one must be run (as administrator)
    If the oc4j install abends, remove all the oc4j folder and then re - extract the files in the folder.
    That seems to have done the trick.

  • Element JDKPATH is undefined in FORM after Java Update

    Hello

    I use a VPS with CF 8.01 (Enterprise) and recently upgraded to Java 1.6.0_04 1.6.0_11 for fix a memory leak problem.

    Changed the following lines below to reflect the upgrade:

    #java.home=C:/ColdFusion8/runtime/jre
    Java.Home = C: / Program Files/Java/jdk1.6.0_11/jre

    The info system in CF admin said even the House of java is C:\ColdFusion8\runtime\jre and the version 1.6.0_04

    What's worse, is that in CF admin under "Java and JVM" I now get the following error:

    Element JDKPATH is undefined in the FORM.

    The error occurred in jvm.cfm: line 174

    -1: cannot display the location of the error in a CFML template.

    So I'm not sure if the server uses the newly installed 1.6.0_11 now java version or old version.

    Does anyone know how I can fix this error in CF admin?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thank you
    Robin.

    You need to run a 64-bit version of ColdFusion to use a 64-bit JVM (and vice versa).

    I've corrected the username and password when configuring domain = weblogic/eu1. But maybe I'm wrong, then how can they can again verified?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    It seems that there is a problem with the combination of weblogic/eu1, i.e. perhaps you misspelled the username or the password.

    Please, check this blog to restore the name of the weblogic server admin user/pass - ORACLE-BASE - reset the AdminServer password in WebLogic 11 g and 12 c

    Hope this helps,

  • CDF to run commands / Shell scripts

    Hi friends,

    I need help serious here regarding the CDF function.

    I created a JAR file to run batch/shell scripts via the calculation script.

    I tested the JAR file and it works perfectly well that run without the calculation script, but I get errors including in Calc script, I get the error message.

    Initially, the error was: error of Machine virtual Java and later, it is class not found.

    Here are the steps to register the CDF:

    1. place the JAR file in the location: E:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\Essbase\EssbaseServer\java\udf\

    2. update the file udf.policy with the following statement:

    Grants all permissions to BatEx

    give the code "file:${essbase.java.home}/BatEx.jar" {}

    permission java.security.AllPermission;

    };

    3 restart the Essbase services.

    4. I am trying to create this function at Global level so no mention is not the name of the Application in the MaxL at registration:

    create or replace function '@BatEx' as

    "BatEx.

    Spec '@BatEx(Complete path in double quotes) '.

    Comment "Functions A CDF that runs the batch file in Essbase Server";

    5 this is the calc script:

    @BatEx 'E:/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/common/utilities/Test.bat '; -It gives an error: error: invalid syntax 1012000 - not a command CALC [@BatEx]

    I tried another way:

    RUNJAVA @BatEx 'E:/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/common/utilities/Test.bat '; -Gives an error: problem running [@BatEx 'E:/Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/common/utilities/Test.bat']: [can't find @BatEx class]

    Where I am wrong here? Please help me out here.

    Kind regards

    RB

    Thanks much Amit and Jake! I finally cracked!

    Sad thing is that I have found no OTN correct information regarding function Java Custom, rather there was a lot of information about CDFs pre-existing provided by Oracle, so I decided to write a complete solution of CDF, where Java code too was created by the developer of Essbase applications.

    The requirement that I had was to trigger the batch file in the calculation script. Here is the detailed requirement:

    Update Variable of Substitution by planning web form.

    1. the user enters the data in the form of the planning web and saves it.

    2. the calc script attached to the web form, extracts data and records the flat file on Essbase server.

    3. earlier we were executing the script batch on the web server as the workflow will identify the lots on the web server and not on Essbase server, but after the development of this CDF to run the batch job, the batch files can be run directly Essbase server.

    4. the idea is to keep the user limited to the tasks list, so that it does not jump to the to-do list to SubVar web form, workflow and then return to the task list for a simple job to change SubVar.

    There were a few challenges that I encountered during the development of this JAVA function, namely:

    1 function CDF records do not : I tested JAVA code separately using command line and the executable Jar file will execute the batch, as expected. But I couldn't get why my CDF is not have recorded trace. After a lot of searching on Google and analysis, I found that it was the difference between the Version of JAVA (the JAVA compiler I used to compile and create my JAR file) and JAVA (JVM Essbase) virtual machine. I used JDK 1.7 update 65 to compile and create my POT so that the JVM used in the Essbase Server Update 1.6 is 35. I uninstalled JDK 1.7 of my machine, downloaded Update 1.6 35 archives of the Oracle and recompiled the code. Guess what! My CDF function was recorded first.

    So always check the compatibility of the Version of the JDK you used to compile and create the JAR file and JVM on your Essbase server.

    You can check the version of the JVM in console EAS-> EssbaseCluster-> right click-> Edit-> properties-> tab environment. There is a line that appears something like:

    ; JvmModuleLocation $J (EPM_ORACLE_HOME)-...-jdk160_35\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll (the bold is your version of the JVM).

    2. "main class not found" error after successful registration of CDF:

    I haven't had that one category of Public in my JAVA code and this error took me by surprise. I also checked the "public static void main" section in my code and everything seems to be OK. Please note that JAVA is case sensitive - 'hand' and 'Hand' aren't even in JAVA.

    I did some further research and one of John's response to a CDF request, I came to know that I need to include another argument (context) in the main section of my Java code and recompile with classpath "essbase.jar" (I will explain the controls in the next steps). I changed the main section of my JAVA code and included the argument:

    Public Shared Sub main (paramContext context, String [] paramArrayOfString)

    The following JAVA code to perform the batch in Essbase Server:

    import com.hyperion.essbase.calculator.Context;

    import java.io.BufferedReader;

    import java.io.InputStream;

    import java.io.InputStreamReader;

    import java.io.OutputStream;

    import java.io.PrintStream;

    public class BatEx

    {

    Public Shared Sub main (context, paramContext, String [] paramArrayOfString)

    {

    Try

    {

    String str1 = paramArrayOfString [0];

    LocalProcess process = Runtime.getRuntime () .exec (str1);

    InputStream localInputStream1 = localProcess.getInputStream ();

    OutputStream localOutputStream = localProcess.getOutputStream ();

    InputStream localInputStream2 = localProcess.getErrorStream ();

    BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader (new InputStreamReader (localInputStream1)) localBufferedReader;

    String str2;

    While ((str2 = localBufferedReader.readLine ())! = null) {}

    System.out.println (str2);

    }

    System.out.println ("package executed successfully.");

    }

    catch (Exception localException)

    {

    System.out.println ("error!:" + localException);

    localException.printStackTrace ();

    }

    }

    }

    Install the (compatible to Essbase JVM) compatible version of the JDK on your machine. Compile the above code by using the following command:

    C:\ >javac - classpath essbase.jar BatEx.java - please specify the path to the file "essbase.jar". It generally to the location: : \Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\Essbase\EssbaseServer\java\

    The code should compile without any problem, and a .class file must be created with the same name.

    Now is the time to create the JAR file. Use the following command:

    C:\ >jar cf BatEx.jar BatEx.class

    Now the executable JAR file must also be created.

    Place this JAR file: : \Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\products\Essbase\EssbaseServer\java\udf\

    Restart the service of Essbase and application (the only Application Restarting should work, but I didn't take any chances to restart both).

    Check the log of function CDF recording applications. The application log should be at the location:

    : \Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem3\diagnostics\logs\essbase\essbase\app\-

    The CDF enrollment message should be something like:

    External function of [GLOBAL] [@BatEx] saved OK

    I used the following MaxL to register my function in Essbase:

    create or replace function '@BatEx' as

    "BatEx.

    Spec '@BatEx (StringArray).

    Comment "Functions A CDF that runs the batch file in Essbase Server"

    I used the following script to calc to run my CDF (fairly simple however):

    ESS_LOCALE English_UnitedStates.Latin1@Binary

    RUNJAVA BatEx "": / Oracle/Middleware/EPMSystem11R1/common/utilities/Test.bat ";" -Note: please replace with the name of the physical drive.

    I went and checked the logs that the Test.bat written and "wallah! The log file had some content and 1 KB in size. I deleted the contents of the log file and checked again, the result was the same.

    Hope this answer helps all of us who work on CDF that is clean.

    Please like this post if this can help you in some way.

    Thanks again to Amit, Jake and John for helping me solve this puzzle.

    Kind regards

  • The ATG installation error

    Hi Experts

    I get an error during the installation of ATG. I downloaded 9.4 ATG and try to install. "When he goes to the part selection appserver, I chose jboss, it is giving error" invalid jboss home directory. I gave jboss home as - C:\jboss\jboss-eap-5.1\jboss-as. I downloaded jboss6.1 and 7 and also used these directories, it gives the same error. Please advice me what do.i also used ATG 10.2 and 11 of the ATG. I got hit in the same step.

    Yes, you must use JBoss installation zip and unzip it. Avoid using the JBoss with native installer. For ATG 9.4, JBoss directory would be something like C:\jboss-eap-4.3\jboss-as. Similarly for ATG 11 you will need to use the path to jboss - as under JBoss EAP 6.0.1. Also make sure that you are using compatible JDK and your JAVA_HOME is pointing to the correct path of JDK and it contains no spaces.
