Invalid SQL syntax causes the removal of the view

I have found that when you change a view through SQL Developer, entering the syntax invalid SQL and hit 'Cancel' causes in my opinion should be deleted. Here are the steps that present this problem for me:

1. create, save, and close a valid database view by clicking right "views" on the Connections tab and selecting «New view...» »
2. open the view via a right click on the view and selecting ' Edit... »
3 change to point to a non-existent table
4 try to save, select "OK".
5. when presented with an error message, click OK in the dialog box "Edit Error object.
6. click on 'Cancel' in the window "Edit View".
7. right click on the view, and then select 'open '. The "SQL" tab is empty, even though you can see the value in the "Columns" tab
8. after refreshing, the view is a party.

I looked under the problems known and searched the forum to see if it had been reported. Please let know us if there is some setting I can change to avoid this problem. I hope it's a bug, because I can't imagine the changes not saved, causing the removal of the view would be the desired behavior. Please find below my contact information of the environment.

    Tell me, what is the problem with statement above. The LIKE operator is?

    Are not specifically related to your question, but having a clause such as ' where Field2 ='123456 "and then you place your order on Field2 is not really going to do much for you, all values will be identical!

    in other words, when a user does something in our system that generates a sql error.
    We want to connect to the corresponding sql statement.

    to do this, we need a way to get this statement by using a sql query.
    is there perhaps something like a point system with the sql statement failed where

    Yes, you need to activate the first check. Checkout:

  • Vs. runtime vs. ViewObject ViewObject SQL query in the xml file.

    Hello

    I wonder what is the difference between query SQL in the long term, creating a view object in the duration and the creation of a display with an XML object.

    I'm not trying to have the result set cached just to pick once.

    My code for a creation of a view in a run-time object:

    HashSet<Integer> allPersonIdThatUserHasAccessTo = new HashSet<Integer>();
                AppModuleImpl am = (AppModuleImpl)ADFUtils.getApplicationModuleForDataControl("AppModuleDataControl");

                String sqlStr = "SELECT up.person_id FROM user_person up where up.user_id = " + userId;
                ViewObjectImpl vo = (ViewObjectImpl)am.createViewObjectFromQueryStmt("AllPeopleUserHasAccessToVo", sqlStr);
                vo.executeQuery();
                RowSetIterator rsi = vo.createRowSetIterator(null);
                while (rsi.hasNext()) {
                    Row personRow = rsi.next();
                    Integer personId = ((BigDecimal)personRow.getAttribute(0)).intValue();
                    allPersonIdThatUserHasAccessTo.add(personId);
                }

                rsi.closeRowSetIterator();
                vo.remove();

    When should I use SQL query, when the view object use at time of execution and time to create the view object to an xml file?

    In general you should not write this code in a managed bean. Access code or in your case creating a VO belongs behind the façade in the module of the application.

    You can create the original Version, but the main difference is that it takes more time. Code everything that the definition of VO created in the data model of the application module would make too and it clears directly after the query only to create the same code again the next time you call the method.

    If the goal is not to keep the data, you can create the hashset class and call executeEmptyRowSet() on the VO (https://blogs.oracle.com/smuenchadf/entry/what_does_executeemptyrowset_d for details). This way you only need a VO that takes a parameter and gets you the same result in less time.

  • Developer Mode error: outdated., the xxAM.xxVO1 view object contained no trace. The records displayed may have been deleted, or the current record of the view object is not properly initialized.

    Hi all

    I'm creating a Maunal search page.

    To do this, I created a view based on a custom display object.

    Page contains 2 parameters.

    If I give all settings and click the OK button.

    It gives the following error.

    Developer Mode error: outdated data

    This page contains outdated information. This error could have been caused by the use of the buttons of the browser (the browser back button, for example). If the browser navigation buttons were not used, this error may result from coding errors in the application code. Please check press the back button on the browser developer guide - view primary key object comparison section to review the main cause of this error and correct the mistakes of coding.

    Cause:
    The view BLTrinDisplayAM.ViewVO1 object did not contain any record. The records displayed may have been deleted, or the current record of the view object is not properly initialized.

    To visit, please click on the Home link at the top of the application page to return to the main menu. Next, go to this page using the app's navigation controls (menu, links and so on) rather than use the controls of the browser as rear or front.

    If I don't give any parameter and click go Button.The content of the view are displayed.

    So if I pass all parameters and click Go, then the corresponding record is displayed.

    Why, for the first time, if I give the parameter and click Go, obsolete data error is coming?

    Please help me.

    Grateful for your help!

    -Aren

    You use the object of the view for the search criteria and search results fields.

    I suggest you to remove references of VO fields of search criteria, item1 and item2.

    And in the event of the button 'Go' in the processFormRequest, get the criteria for field values entered by the user as below and run the object (ViewVO1) of the view by using these values.

    String buCode = pageContext.getParameter ("item1");

    String lsiCode = pageContext.getParameter ("item2");

    Thank you

  • How to create the view in OBIEE

    I have "table 1" with columns, Attr1, Attr2, action 1, measure 2.I need to create the view in the table repository Attr1, Measure1 and new attribute with values like a flag 3 'Y' in it. ". What will be the SQL code of the new view. Please provide the exact syntax for the view.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Hsekar,

    You are right, it is called a SELECT type.

    Regarding your second question I don't know what you mean. You are using an SQL Select statement in this area. The Alias of the columns must match the columns will place you in the RPD exactly. But in this process, you create a physical view DB object, so there is not need to name it. You just create the select statement that you would use to create a view and OBIEE refers to the statement.

    If you have found the correct answer please give points!

    Best regards

    -Joe

    I have created a web application in dreamweaver page, and the page is a php page. When I enter the data and hit submit this is what I get. I looked at the code in the php page and don't see anything on the line you accept that:

    <? php require_once('.. / Connections/big.php');? >

    When I look in phpadmin I see my database's data. Anyone know what I need to do to get rid of this error?

    Thank you. He fixed it.

  • Merger with subquery causes ORA-38101 invalid column to INSERT the VALUES C

    What follows is a slightly shortened version of a SQL statement that causes the error.
              MERGE INTO applicant_matches m_table USING
              (
                   SELECT DISTINCT
                               s.student_id,
                               a.term_scope_id,
                               a.first_name,
                             a.last_name,
                             a.ssn_visa,
                             a.birth_date,
                             ...

              ) m_list ON
              (m_list.student_id =     m_table.student_id AND
                   m_list.first_name     =     m_table.first_name AND
                   m_list.last_name =     m_table.last_name AND
                   m_list.birth_date     =     m_table.birth_date AND
                   m_list.ssn_visa =     m_table.ssn_visa AND
                   m_list.term_scope_id =     m_table.term_scope_id)

              WHEN NOT MATCHED THEN
                     INSERT (m_table.student_id, m_table.term_scope_id, m_table.ssn_visa, m_table.first_name, m_table.last_name,
                           m_table.birth_date, m_table.ssn_match, m_table.dob_match, m_table.soundex_match, m_table.name_match, m_table.past_present)
                     VALUES
                        (m_list.student_id, m_list.term_scope_id, m_list.ssn_visa, m_list.first_name,
                             m_list.last_name, m_list.birth_date, m_list.ssn_match, m_list.dob_match, m_list.soundex_match,
                             m_list.name_match,

                             (SELECT
                   'A'
                        FROM  term_scope ts
                             JOIN campus_term ct ON ts.campus_term_id=ct.campus_term_id
                             WHERE
                             ts.term_scope_id = 5  )

               )

    I've simplified the request a bit to see what combination of things are the cause of the problem, that is why she always inserts 'A' in m_list.past_present (a CHAR (1)) and always use 5 for the term_scope_id.

    On the SELECT subquery I get one
    ORA-38101 invalid column in the INSERT VALUES Clause: string "ts". "" term_scope_id ".

    However, if I leave the
    JOIN the ct campus_term ON ts.campus_term_id = ct.campus_term_id
    Then, the query works fine.

    Anyway, it must be insert 'A', so I can't imagine what that JOIN has to do with anything anyone. The term_scope_id is valid. It won't let you do a join in a subquery for a merge insert?

    BTW: I'm using Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.6.0 - Production

    Try using the old join syntax

    Select 'x '.
    from t1, t2
    where t1.col = t2.col
    and t2.other_col = using_set.other_col
