  Adobe change Acrobat a lot between releases. Make sure you follow instructions to the same version you have.

  If this looks OK, let us know the exact version you have (help > about Acrobat Pro).

• FM 6.0: Text appears on the FM band, but not in the final PDF

  Hi all

  I did some poking around, but have not been able to find information about what is happening.

  I have a document that has the head to one side for a type of '4', that's just a legend to some paragraphs (for example, 'Settings', 'Description', "Return Codes").

  The chapters of my book are generated by a script that takes XML (from doxygen) and converts them to the MIF, and then to the FM band via dzbatcher. At the opening of the chapters on the FM band, the captions appear according to the normal, however, when I produce a PS file and then distill, sometimes they are missing from a point in the document at the end of this one. This also happens if I print the PDF from the command line, as well.

  Is there a known problem it would cause? It is quite painful, because the rest of the document is great except for the persons being reported missing.

  If you search the forum, you should take several threads on this. It's pretty much a FAQ.

  Because you provided no details of the system, I'll make an assumption that you're on XP and if so, download and install this Hotfix from Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=952909 then it would be the start point.

• The text on the home page that appears smaller than the pages of blog

  Currently I'm trying to hit a few html pages using CSS for my blog.  It is as I have a portfolio of my own work in front of the site corresponding to the appearance of my blog.

  The problem is that I can not the body of the text on the home page to match the body of the text in the blog. For some reason any, it seems smaller, still images line up well on all browsers.

  you work with em that can be difficult sometimes if you don't pay close attention to the parent controls.

  simple solution in your case.

  In your mptv_styles.css just add make-size: 1.2em; for your #sidebar. This should solve.

• I can't move text. The box moves, but the text remains in the same place until it jumps.

  I'm sure I have a wrong setting somewhere, but I don't even know what Google and 'jump text InDesign' is not useful.

  I'm on a second master slide (for the beginning of the chapter) and added a page number in the middle of the page. However, I try to focus this issue on the page and I can't. I have centered horizontally using align, but if I try to move the manual box up and down, the movements of the AREA around the text, which remains in the same place! Once the box out to where the text is, it will jump to a higher position. So I find myself having only two options on where I can place this text box and none of them is the correct placement. What I am doing wrong?

• FM11 to RH10: FM Cross Refs works on the FM band, but not in HR.

  I never really worked on the length of path correct max, I just kept shorten until it seemed to work.

  The path "long" ran like this:

  P:\Departments\QA Department\Jonas Conversion Project\doc_projects\Jonas\content\Banquet & Catering\really_long_filename.fm Documentation

  I think the longest 'short' trail is now - P:\Departments\QA Department\doc_projects\content\Banquet & Catering\really_long_filename.fm

  I did it by copying the original files and sticking them in their new locations because I was afraid to disrupt all my internal FM xrefs. Which perhaps not necessary. Because there is another author that accesses files FM, I had to keep it on a network location. If I was a totally solo author, I'd keep the premises in a really short project path.

  It is not the length of the reference itself that is the question (even if it's maybe - I just never knew it), this is the full path to the file is xref refers to. Why? Adobe engineers don't know us mere mortals!

• Text on the button "submit" only appear not

  Hi all, I have a form with a button "submit" at the bottom.  When I add it in Acrobat Pro X the SUBMIT text presents itself. But when I open it in Acrobat Reader it is just a gray box.  What setting do lack me?

• Invisible text on the index page

  I used Dreamweaver in the classic environment. The index.html page seems fine and I used edit text here without any problem. However I use OS x, ago different end appeared: index.shtml when I open this document there is no text I could change is visible. All empty space. It is in design mode. When I go to view code, I see all the text. I changed end shtml to HTML in the hope that the text will appear. Nope.
  So my question is - how to make the text visible in index.shtml document in design mode?

  I see that you have items beyond the point of interruption of the buttons. Maybe try to adjust the point of suspension beyond the starting point of these?

  A part of the text in e-mail from a particular sender does not at all appear in gmail or my hotmail in Firefox e-mail account. When I go to the same email using Internet Explorer, all the text is there. I tried the email viewing with disabled modules, and that did not fix the problem.

  Thanks for the message. The Inspector indicates that the message consists of a large number of tags nested inside of each other. (Screenshot attached)

  I don't see any purpose to have so many tags nested inside one another, because they are very repetitive, but many creation tools make no effort to write good HTML as long as it works in IE.

  The problem is that Firefox is not by not showing what it is rather than is not showing an image of plain text, as you saw when you paste into a word processing document. At least then you would know when something is missing. I don't know if/when that will be fixed, this is a known issue for some time.

  The redirect solution does not work on Gmail rich text/HTML mode, but if you switch to plain text mode, the list without style appears as a piece of text (screen attached). Not very useful, but it is there in a pinch.

  Sorry I don't have a good fix for the moment.

  I can't paste text from Word 2011 mac in Indesign CS6. When I try to paste the text into InDesign text before the current copy is displayed. (although the legal text is on the Clipboard). The problem is that InDesign stops after trying this 3 - 4 times.

  No, its okay but not the text of the last copy, but the one that precedes it.

  This is how it goes:

  1. I copy text from word

  2. paste in InDesign with no problems

  3 copy text to another word

  4 paste in InDesign to show the text in step 2 and not the text copied in step 3

  5 remove the pasted text

  6 paste times shows the correct text in step 3

  ...

  After repeated 3 - 4 times what InDesign closes

  The use of Thunderbird 24 under Windows 7.

  Preferences-display-font-size allows me to change the size of the text in the message pane, but what I want to do is to increase the size of the text in the message above the message pane list and in the list of folders to the left of these.

  I need larger text to help an older user with a bad view, so any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  I have already set the Windows system font to a workable size.  It doesn't seem to affect the Thunderbird font at all.

  I was generation from a word template.

  I hacked my version of the Toolbox to give me maunal indicator control "model? He had obtained his permenatly self stuck on "T". I exposed this flag outside the API, so I can control under certain weather conditions I may or may not use the model police.

  Does anyone know how to use this toolkit, or I did the right thing?

• Book as a text in the module

  I want to write a heart in the form of text in the book module but doesn't seem to work, how do I write symbols in the book module?

  Thanks John. It seems that the only way to add that one ASCII symbol is to create in another text editor (MS Word) and copy & paste it into the text box of the book module. Only some fonts will work, such as Arial and other standard fonts, so you will also need to change the font for the pasted symbol (X) so that it can display correctly. You can still use any font you like for the text. It's on WIndows 7:

  

• RH8: Centering table page Centers text within the page

  I have a webhelp imported from MS word with plenty of tables. I used a table style to set up tables in word format.

  What I want: table centered on the page. Text inside the left-aligned table.

  What I get previews and webhelp output: Table centered on the page. Text inside table centered in the table

  (In the editor of HR, the table looks at how I want it with the table centered and text aligned to the left)

  I tried setting the text on the normal style, but has done nothing.

  I know I can manually edit the HTML code, but I don't have the time to do it.
