  I try to open a PDF in Chrome - I open it fine in Adobe Reader if I download it. When I open it in Chrome, I get the message I have to accept the EULA and revive to open the PDF in Chrome.

  I reinstalled Adobe, restarted Chrome and it works fine in Safari.

  When I go to the applications folder and try to open Adobe Reader (which is different from opening a PDF file I recorded on my Mac). The menu bar appears but is not the "Adobe" "empty" file - nothing happens but the menu bar.

  Now reinstall Adobe Reader. And launch the reader Application. Here come the EULA. Accept that and now you will be able to open PDFS in Safari.

  Chrome is a browser not supported for Reader/Acrobat. You can check this in the Adobe release notes.

  Dreamweaver cannot open PDF. You can create links to the PDF file, but you need Acrobat or similar applications to open and view PDF files.

• Cannot open the pdf attachment in Yahoo Mail. Worked in 25.0 not 25.0.1. Still works with IE.

  Clicking on a pdf attachment in AT & T/Yahoo Mail translates "a file has been downloaded. Used to open the file in Firefox 25.0 and earlier versions. Go to IE I can click on the attachment and it opens. Seems like it might be something in 25.0.1. I cleared my history (cache, cookies), but this has not fixed the problem. I disabled the read pdf and that did not help either.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

  (If you use it, switch to the default theme).

  • Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
  • Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

  I had the same problem. Go in Tools > Modules > Plug-Insand disable the plugin Adobe Acrobat. Once I did, my PDFs opened in preview.

  I thought about it. I had to install gostscript. For anyone else who has had this problem, here's how I did it.

  First thing we need to do is to change the registry to enable us to start the Task Manager. The way I did is BartPE. You could also change the registry to mount the disk to another windows computer.

  When I boot to BartPE, I press the Start button and open cmd.

  Then I type regedit.exe and press ENTER. Who launches regedit.

  Can I highlight HKEY_USERS

  Press file, load hive

  Go to C:/Documents and Settings/scanneruser data

  Open NTUSER. DAT

  Name it to something, anything, don't forget it.

  Go to this hive

  go to Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/policies

  Highlight the system

  then replace DisableTaskMgr 0

  Start again under the main operating system.

  You should now be able to hit ctrl-alt-delete to start the Task Manager.

  Now, go here and download the GNU license and download the version for 32-bit windows. Throw this download on a USB key and plug the USB into the computer to the printer.

  From there on, press new task file

  and type Explorer

  Go to the USB key and start the installation of gostscript.

  After that, you should now be able to open a PDF file.
