Cannot open the attachment sent with Outlook Express
I have Windows XP. I use my processor Works 8. He worked for many years, suddenly it doesn't. When I create and send a document using Outlook Express, the receiptant cannot open it. It is the standard verbiage that works may not support, the file can be used by another application, etc. After much frustration, I find now that if the document is sent attached to Outlook Express cannot be opened from the accessory, it can be opened if the receiptant saves the attachment to its documents and open it from there (which becomes tedious). I have now discovered that if I send the document as an attachment by using a free email program from Yahoo (Rocketmail) it can be opened from the attachment. The problem seems to imply of Outlook Express. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Cannot open the attachment xls
I can't open xls attachment. He tells me to choose the program I want to use to open the file and then nothing happens. Any ideas?
You must have Excel (part of Office) or an intstalled of Excel Viewer on your computer to read .xls files...
And you must set your file Associations, so that the .xls files get opened by Excel.
Here is the download link for Microsoft Excel Viewer free:
Excel Viewer open, view, and print Excel workbooks, even if you don't have Excel installed. This download is a replacement for Excel Viewer 97 and all previous Excel Viewer versions.
And to set file Associations:

Hi civilclerk1,
It seems the PDF Creator have set the target version higher than that you have installed on your machine.
You will need to check with the person who actually created these pdf files.

I just downloaded El Capital 10.11.4 and now cannot open an attachment (Word) in the mail. I tried to click on highlight and trying to save but not luck.
You have Word? Office 2004 won't work with El Capitan.
You can save the attachment and then try to open it to see what happens. If it still does not open, try to open Word or Pages or TextEdit and use the command open.

So all this started because I tried to clean my computer to give to a friend. I tried refomatting the hard drive, but something was wrong here. After that, when I turn on the computer I get a black screen with message Bootmgr missing. I read a little inside and saw that I could download a Windows Vista recovery disk because my computer did not come with one.
After that I downloaded and burned the ISO image to a CD, things started looking better. I got to the screen when you select the language and keyboard. Then install windows screen. My options there were 'Install now' and 'repair your computer '. When I try to install, I put in my product key that seems fine. The next message I get is "Windows cannot open the required file E:\Sources\Install.wim. The file does not exist. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. "Error code: 0 x 80070002.
When I try to repair, he said "select an operating system to repair, and then click Next."
Operating System: Windows Vista (TM) Home Basic (recovered)
Partition Size: 34318 MB
Location: (D :) ACER
If you do not see your operating system listed, click on load drivers to load the drivers for your hard drives. I try to select Windows Vista retrieved and clicked Next, but what is said "this version of system recovery options is not compatible with the version of windows that you want to repair" or get a recovery of tools such as repair system, System Restore, complete pc windows, tool windows and command promy memory diagnostic restoration. the only problem is he says operatins system: (unknown) unknown local disk...Any help would be appreciated. Really want to give my friend a laptop that wont even turn on. Laughing out loud
Was it Neosmart?
This isn't an installation disc. It's a record of startup repair!
You use the repair disk option, not Install.How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.
There is no Vista free download legal available.
https://secure.TX.Acer.com/rcdb/main.aspx?brand=Acer
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11; Acer is in some models Alt + F10 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
They will tell you how to do this.
Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
Hi AntonioGodinho,Follow the suggestion given in this article to resolve the problem: -
RTE de LV cannot open the project files that include references .lvlib in dependencies
I am writing a DLL LabVIEW to inspect the LabVIEW project files, and I noticed that if a project has a .lvlib reference in its dependencies, then the Run-Time Engine is contradictory on whether or not he can find the project file:
- Project.Open returns error 7 (file not found)
- Project.GetFileLVVersion is a success
Here are some excerpts from my code of G and C engaged in this behavior:
int openStatus = StatusSuccess;
char * projectVersion = createStringWithLength (VersionStringLength);printf ("Analysis %s\n", pathchaine);
OpenProject (pathchaine & openStatus, projectVersion, VersionStringLength);
printf (" project written in LabVIEW %s\n", projectVersion);If (openStatus is StatusSuccess)
{
printf (" Open the project file.") \n") ;
}
on the other
{
printf("Error: could not find Project file, or file was not a Project file (Error code %i).\n», openStatus);")
}However, when running in the development environment, the two methods are successful.
Is this a bug, and if so, is it fixed in 2014 of LabVIEW?
Here's how you can reproduce:
Prerequisites:
- LabVIEW 2013 SP1 32-bit
- ConEmu for a good console- https://code.google.com/p/conemu-maximus5/wiki/Downloads
- minGW for compilation of a program to use the LabVIEW - http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw/files DLL
- Open the attachment in a temporary directory (e.g. c:\xtra\temp)
- Open "OpenProject.lvproj" in LabVIEW.
- Type make
true Here's another way to trigger this behavior, which shows that LabVIEW occasionally Range the element dependencies:
- Open "OpenProject.lvproj" in LabVIEW.
- Add to the project a new VI and place the constant path of file "Application Directory" his block diagram.
- Select ""leader "Save All (this project)" and use the default name for the new VI.
- Type 'c:\xtra\temp\OpenProject.lvproj' OpenProject
- Notice that there is a mistake once again, as is expected.
- Remove the "Application Directory" path of file constant
- Select ""leader "Save All (this project)"
- Type 'c:\xtra\temp\OpenProject.lvproj' OpenProject
- Note that the problem has disappeared, as is expected.
- Add the "Application Directory" path of file constant in the block diagram.
- Select ""leader "Save All (this project)"
- Type 'c:\xtra\temp\OpenProject.lvproj' OpenProject
- Notice there is no problem, which is surprising, because that there should be a mistake because the dependencies item was not tidy.
- Close the new VI and pull out of the project.
- Select ""leader "Save All (this project)"
- Open "OpenProject.lvproj" in a text editor.
- Note that the dependencies item was put away.
- Add VI back to the project.
- Select ""leader "Save All (this project)"
- Type 'c:\xtra\temp\OpenProject.lvproj' OpenProject
- Notice that there is a mistake once again, as is expected.
The same behavior occurs in LabVIEW RTE: a new project with a constant of the Application in an empty vi directory will return an error 7 - file not found, but still return the correct version of LabVIEW in which the project was created.
I did experiment with workarounds for this problem, and I found a.
When I used to get the path of LabVIEW libdir in the ini of the executable file, execution is able to load and inspect the project file.
LIBDIR = 'C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\LabVIEW 2013'
While it is expected that a stand-alone executable can be placed on a system that does not have the LabVIEW IDE, it is still surprising to me that the execution engine cannot find standard library of LabVIEW without some explicit guidance. What other factors contribute to this behavior?
