iPhoto on iCloud sharing problems

Can't click on "photo sharing" for iCloud after a factory reset and reload.  Have OS X (10.9.5) for OS and iPhoto 8.1.2.  Help section suggests I need to update iPhoto to 9.0 or later, but is not available on the mac apps.  How to restore iCloud sharing my iPhoto album?

Three ways to get the iCloud sharing back:

1 - Go to the App Store and see if you have iPhoto 9.5.1 in the item being purchased.  If she is here to move your current iPhoto app to the trash, go back to the App Store and download and install 9.6.1.

2 - your iPhoto to restore the backup of your hard drive application done just before your factory reset.

3 - upgrade to El Capitan and Photos that has even more features share iCloud.

  • How to transfer pictures from iPhoto to iCloud

I have a Mid 2010 iMac OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 running version and am trying to transfer my photos from iPhoto to iCloud so I don't lose them when I get my new Mac. I tried highlighting them and moving them to a new stream of photos, but it works. I don't want to have to buy an external hard drive. Said the man on the Apple store for transfer to iCloud.

    Hi creekercat,

There are many options to solve this problem. It would be to get a thumb drive or storage device of some sort that you already own to store them on. Better yet, if you Google Drive or Dropbox, download them from here. I don't really recommend put you your pictures on iCloud because it takes lots of storage. If you have any of the above options, you might as well wait for the new Mac and their parachuting directly through Finder to your new Mac. It will be a long process, but hey, at least you don't lose your files.

    Good luck

  • 9.3.1 iOS cannot add pictures to iCloud shared album

Since the upgrade to iOS 9.3.1 I can't add pictures to iCloud shared albums.

Tried cela two ways. By selecting the option of sharing photos of iCloud film images. If a new album name is defined, the album is created, but it remains empty. The second way is a shared album iCloud and try to insert a picture by tapping the +. Nothing happens.

I also noticed that even recently taken photos are in charge of the iCloud seen (I have iCloud library active). Before this update only the old images were downloaded when read and recently added remained on the phone/ipad.

What is happening on my iPhone 6 and Air 2 64 GB iPad each and there is lots of space available on the two so that he should not download recent photos in the photo library and remove phone immediately.

Anyone? It works well on the ipad, if you select a photo...

  • Is there an optimal resolution for iCloud sharing Photos

Is there an optimal resolution for iCloud Photos sharing on computers, iPad and Apple TV?

I want to scan photo album my grandparents to share with my friends and family. I scanned a few pages of test at 3200 x 2000 pixels. They have look great on my Mac and look great on an iPad also. I want to future proof them for 4 k and recent televisions.

Is the size of 3200 x 2000 pixels too small, too large or OK?

If you want to transfer photos using iCloud shared Albums, photo sharing, they will be transferred from smaller - the edge long will be at maximum 2048 pixels, unless they are panoramic.

I would scan the photos to a pixel size you want to keep for reference, so you can print them in a format you like - 4000 x 3000 pixels or more, and when you share with iCloud, sharing photos they will be slightly reduced in any way.

Thank you very much in advance - it would be a big help (gibbest album with this problem is the honeymoon ;-))

Shared albums are essentially photo streams. They will always show the photos in the order that add you them to the album.  If you want your photos to appear in a specific order, you must add them to the album individually, one by one, exactly in the order of your choice.  You cannot add all photos in an album at once - which will give unpredictable results.

For example, to create a new album with your photos.  Then ctrl-click on the album and select "Keep arranged by Date, oldest first" to sort the album.  Now add each photo from the album shared individually.  There will be a lot of work.

  • ICloud BIG problem of sharing photos!

    Hello

My albums of shared photo stream are all grayed out. I restarted my iPhone and I tried waiting, but it simply doesn't. What should I do? I have so many pictures on it. I really need help, someone please help!

Even some of my photos from camera roll are gray. There's the funniest photos I erased yesterday who were in my photo stream are appearing and everything else is all gray and I cannot access the pictures.

It's a huge problem, I have enough storage on my phone too. I don't know what the problem is. My iphone 6 has been trolling with photos and it broke down a few times too. If anyone can help me, I would be really grateful.

Log on to https://www.icloud.com and see if your photos are available

If they are - try to reset the connection on the phone iCloud

    Sign up for iPhone

    Disconnect from the iCloud

Do a forced reboot - after all open applications using the app Chooser - invoked by fast double pressing the home button and drag upwards on each app until it disappears from the screen.

Meet the sleep/wake and home buttons down until you see the logo  - then release and allow normal start upward

    Then reconnect

  • iCloud, sharing photos for Non - iOS users

So, I use iCloud for about two years now, and it does for the most part, what I want and need to. However, whenever my family and I go camping during the weekend, take a vacation or just to Barbecue a Sunday afternoon, we have a ton of photos on a large number of devices. For the wife and children, this isn't a problem since we have all of the iPhones and use iCloud. But, it seems that we are facing a problem whenever someone on an Android phone has a few pictures they want help or like to download some pictures that we have added.

Y at - it an easy way for non - iOS users view and/or edit albums shared iCloud without going through a several-step process (transfer of office, download third party app, etc..)? It is my understanding that an Android user should be able to display/change via a web browser, but don't seems to work. I looked at other cloud services and apps, and major issues, in that I continue to run are:

1: having to pay another Cloud Computing service, when I already pay for iCloud is not economic.

2: I find a lot of the photo-sharing applications and services give a lot of storage, but at a cost to the quality of the photos. My wife and her friends are always doing something creative with your impressions so even some 'high quality' compression can degrade enough make it unusable.

3: I have a hard time to ask someone to download an application, not to mention of asking them to pay for one. Nor am I comfortable someone jump through hoops, just so that I can watch through a batch of photos in the hope of finding one or two which are useful.

So, is there an easy way to do it, or I'm stuck or wait for Apple to understand a feature like this would be useful or leave iCloud for a solution amicably more cross-platform? I do not understand that Apple needs to focus on the development and support of applications and services for its ecosystem and customer, but would it not make sense to make it convenient for outside users to have a great experience too?

I don't know what problems you encountered but the sharing Web site works fine for me.

  • Download iPhoto to iCloud: when it starts loading and synchronization

I decided my iCloud 200 GB of storage on the rise so I could back up my iPhoto (65 GB) library on iCloud for safety and, secondarily, sharing to my other devices. I upgraded iCloud and then clicked on the preferences to save my iPhoto library to iCloud. Nothing has changed at the moment and I was wondering if I should do something else to get the download/synchronization began. Any advice on when it will start or if I should take further measures. Thank you very much for all the advice.

    Skip

You should not need to do anything extra. Check if, by chance, the download is suspended. Photos > Preferences > iCloud > Pause button someday. If this is the case, you can resume at any time.

The download takes a long time. With a large library, it could be a week or more. Even the initial preparation takes many hours.

Give him time and leave your computer turned on and connected to the Internet during the night.
