    Go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendars > press e-mail account. Put the Mail DISABLE (display white side). To return to the home screen (it's essential!). Phone power off. Turn the phone to power back on. Mail switch must stay off - if enabled, you will need to repeat this process. If it is disabled, you did it right - turn it on and the 'ghost' post should have gone - for now. That they will probably come back until this bug is fixed permanently.

    Personally, I think that we must avoid each all-in-one suite.  Just because a company is known for their antivirus over the years does not mean they will be good at all functions (firewall, anti-adware/anti-spyware, etc.) related to security generally, the product is a good thing and the rest stood in looks.  They can even be quite effective-, but whenever there is a problem - it is more difficult to solve problems and can even be the product in question.  Not to mention - NIS in particular (at least older versions) were known in fact crater machines completely if you tried to update or delete the product.
     
    At the end of counts - it's all personal opinion.  If the possible reduction of the overall speed and the unnecessary complication to benefit free of charge more than just a simple reliable AV software and the built-in firewall combined with works by common sense for you, - so be. ;-)  Me - I'm going with just the VA, built in firewall and a NAT router, I got. Keep everything patched, not all work day as administrator and do not stuff stupid everyone should have read everything now...

    Yes you still need an antivirus program and you are right that Norton tends to cause problems.

    You want to remove Norton and old and even uninstalled antivirus can leave remnants then download and run
    the Norton Removal Tool. Also, I would get Avast and Prevx and you should be in good shape.

    Download the 3 to get back to after removing the McAfee antivirus.

    Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AS ADMIN - REBOOT after each.

  • Warnings from Windows 8 Action Center that McAfee and the Defender is not activated after Windows update.

    In December 2012 after installation of the updates of Microsoft Windows on my machine Windows 8 and rebooting, my icon downtown Action system gave 3 warning messages:

    The spyware, antivirus and Firewall wasn't turned on do not.

    When I was in the center of the Action, he said time Windows Defender and McAfee have been disabled.

    I ran Mcafee checks as well as the defender and it states that my machine is virus-free.

    I clicked on Mcafee and it said all were lit.

    I called Mcafee technical support and they did something in December 2012 and has solved the problem and none of the messages is new. They do not just turn off messages in December 2012, they did something, but wouldn't discuss what has been done with me.

    However, today, Jan 8/13, another set of Windows updates have been installed by Microsoft and yet once again, the WARNING messages 3 came.

    I called McAfee support again and said that I didn't call each month when I install the updates of Windows to solve the problem and that there is a bug with Windows 8 and McAfee.

    I looked at the tech of McAfee as he did helpline (I work in technical support as well) and what he did this time was to turn off Action Center messages, thinking that I DINA realize that it was not really solved the problem.

    I told him, I understand that it seems that McAfee is not working properly, but I will not renew my McAfee Dell subscription this March/13 because that doesn't solve anything... it's just disable the warning messages. (I showed her that if I turn on the message, the warnings were still there... apparently he was shocked that I knew what I was doing).

    He said that McAfee is a problem with Windows 8 and McAfee and are working on a fix.

    The tech told me to get in touch with Dell and they would provide a fix.

    This problem does not occur with my Alienware Windows 7 pc and installation of Windows 8 I received is on my other pc from Dell.

    Is someone can you please tell me if there is a fix for this?

    I will not renew my McAfee subscription if it comes to the type of service that will be provided; I'll go with another antivirus program.

    I tried to download and install ZoneAlarm.  I get a msg that TMP has stopped working.  "GLB4D55. TMP '.  then windows looking for a solution and tells me that I must go to McAfee and discover why ceased.  I don't have McAfee.

    4. when the scan is complete, a message box will appear

    7. a screen showing all of the malware displayed the program that is

    8. you must now click remove selection button to remove all the listed malware. MBAM will now delete all of the files and registry keys and add them to the programs quarantine. When you remove files, MBAM may require a restart in order to eliminate some of them. If it displays a message stating that it needs to restart, please let him do. Once your computer has rebooted, and logged in, please continue with the remaining steps.

    9. when MBAM has finished remove the malware, it will open the scan log and display it in Notepad. See the log as desired, and then close the Notepad window.

    If your McAfee product is only one anti-virus: Yes, you need your Vista firewall.

    Try to uninstall Speedy PC Pro and then do a system restore.  To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore.  Click on the box that says show more restore points.

You can configure it to automatically do everything in time and frequency of your choice. 1.5 TB external hard drives is about $90 these days and a very good FREE backup program is the Easeus todo backup free that you can download from
