Is it possible to add a button to a quiz slide home?

In Captivate 8?

There is a feature called "consolidation" which allows you to navigate to a content slide. This content slide needs a button 'next', but with the action «return to the quiz» When this content slide is accessible from a normal blade, the next button will act as a next button. When he has a Question slide, the next button will return to this question slide.

Isn't that what you want?

Otherwise: the only interactive object that can be used on a question slide is a form button. You can read about it in one of my blog posts:

  • Cannot add a button on a quiz slide

I'm creating a quiz in captivate 5 and I want to add a next button on each slide of the questionnaire. So I went to the Insert > object Standard and option button is grayed. I'm not on amaster Slide where I know that the button cannot be added. I know there are other ways to do this, but it seems logical to then have a back, and submit button on each slide. Thank you!

The jump key which is on the question slide double up as a button (for review).

  • Adding buttons to the quiz slide?

    Hello

It seems to me that you can not add a button to a slide of questionnaire, is it true or I'm nuts... or both!

    See you soon

    Bill

    Hi Bill,

Could not find a way to achieve what you want with the ordinary Question slides. In CP5 it is quite easy to slide "good plan" (I'll call it the 'cheat' further slide) and come back to the question slide after him (there is an option "Visited, jump to the last slide"), but this can only be triggered when the user has given an answer and click on the submit button. And when he returns to the Question slide, the response can be removed to be replaced by another. This isn't the way you want it to behave, I understood.

The alternative does not use slides in Question but in order to build slides using standard and interactive objects (whose score must be fixed). Then you have the total control, you can "clear" a response if necessary, create a dedicated button to go to the slide 'cheat' and then return on the question slide, even to decrement the score possible (due to the use of the "slide cheat"), etc. Do you want give me it a try?

  • Adding buttons to the quiz slides

I want to add a button 'Continue' on a quiz

Slide, so that the user can take as much time to read the comments and then on the next question or the next task in e-learning.   The problem is that the icon of the button (to add new buttons) is grayed out in the slide of the questionnaire.  Similarly, I can't paste the navigation buttons I created for other slides on quiz slides.  How can I get around this (I'm not a programmer so don't want to try to create widgets)?

    Thank you, Richard

I've had success with that by creating the button in a new project only 1 slide - and important "objects" only on my blade of quiz - the properties of the button remained intact (with the exception of the multiple actions)

  • Proposals feature: possibility to add the button to enable/disable JavaScript and Flash easily? The lack of horizontal navigation.

It is very useful and safe to disable JavaScript and Flash is not needed. But sometimes they must be used.

It's too frustrating toggle JS menu, and No-Script add-on is not very practical. It would be better if it had the button toggle to enable or disable JavaScript. Also necessary for Flash. You could implement this simple feature for the next update.

Also: Ealier, it was possible to navigate horizontally rss-buttons and tabs of arrows. Later, this feature has been removed. Could get it back you.

This module includes a button to toggle JavaScript market / stop.

  • Is it possible to add a button that will open an attachment to a specific page in its own window?

I have two PDFs generated from Framemaker.

    PDF1 is a user's guide.

PDF2 is a test plan document.

I want to include the possibility for the reader in PDF2, open the guide of the user to a specific page (topic) if they need to access detailed information about a test item.

In order to ensure that the PDF2 player has the user's guide, I thought I want to implement an attachment under PDF2 PDF1.

By browsing the ' net, I found that I can add a 'link' (rectangular clickable area) on PDF2 which, when clicked, will open PDF1 in its own window to a specified page number. GREAT!

But... what I want to do is to place a * key * on the PDF2 (with a tag) who will perform this task (open PDF1 to a specified page in its own window). However, I am getting lost and does not know how to do this (or if this can be done at all).

    Pointers would be appreciated :-)

    Thank you.

    John

Then... I thought about it (of course, * after * post the question.) Sigh) and given that the post is now here forever, I thought I should share my solution, for what it's worth.

In PDF2, with PDF1 included as an attachment:

    1. Rich Media > Add button.
    2. Button to place on the page.
    3. Open the properties of the button (double click or right click > properties).
    4. Click the Actions tab.
    5. Select the Action, select go to a page view.
    6. Click Add...
(This opens her create go to view dialog box.)
    7. Double-click on the attachment (PDF1).
    8. In the attachment, scroll to the desired page.
    9. In create go to view dialog box, click on connect.
    10. In the Properties dialog box, click Close.
    11. Reopen the Properties dialog box, go to the Actions.
    12. In the action pane, click "Go to a page in another document" (the action that I had set earlier).
    13. Click on change.
    14. In the target Document section, select 'New window' field.
    15. Click OK.
    16. Click Close.

  • CP4: Customize the appearance of the buttons on the quiz slides

    Hello

I have a request to customize the appearance of slides of button quiz (not the text, the look of Windows 3.1). I don't see that it mentioned anywhere, except curiously recent announcement as CP5 apparently allows it.

Some tips to find out how CP 4 Please?

    Paul

    Hello

Captivate 4 allows you to edit the buttons on Question slides. You can choose the images. Simply create images for how you want the buttons find and use those?

  • Slides of CP9 KC - cannot add the button

All of a sudden, I can't add a button to a slide check knowledge. Yesterday, I was doing, but today cannot.

When I click the icon "Interactions", the first three elements (button, click box, Drag and Drop) are grey. Only 'Training Interaction' is available.

My typical solution is, create the item in another page, then copy and paste it. But this page even let me not paste anything.

Already tried rebooting the computer and Captivate.

Does anyone else have this problem?

    Thanks in advance,

    Dan

    Hello

To the best of my knowledge, a KC slide is nothing more than a typical Question except for the configuration of the notation or another slide. And Captivate never allowed adding things like buttons to these kinds of slides.

Is it possible that you're wrong about the possibility to add a button to a higher? If you were, it would be the kind of a bug.

  • Is it possible to add an option to download a form e-mail? For example, to download a 'CAD file' or 'pdf '?

Hi, is it possible to add a button transfer to an email form? I want customers to download their pdf files or CAD files as well as their email from the Web site.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

If you use a third-party hosting as Gadaddy, that this cannot be done using Muse webform, but you can use jotform (or a large number of available online) to create and insert the form into your site from Muse. Please click the link here

  • Add a button with zoom function

    Hello

I work on a catalogue of products, and for this we used a professional photographer to take pictures of product. The photos are really nice and they can be zoomed to discern details. Pictures have been inserted in the pdf catalogue, but due to limited space, they are not very detailed.

Is it possible to add a button or a link with the zoom feature? For example, an icon like a magnifying glass, or simply the word zoom, so when a user clicks on it, it zooms in the game area before an upgraded pre and Center it.

Sounds quite right fantasy? I think maybe the impossible... but it's worth a try here :)

    Kind regards

    Rudi

Additionally, to prevent Acrobat inviting you to register, add the following line of code at the end of the script:

    dirty = false;

This means, there is something else in the document, like a form to fill out, which could cause the document legitimately require a backup. In this case, you will need to check the property dirty at the beginning of the script and only false if that's what it was at the beginning. If you need assistance with this, post again.

  • Is it possible to assign a tip action to a send on a quiz slide button?

A tip action you can assign to a submit button standard quiz?

No Jay. The buttons embedded on quiz slides are not the normal buttons.

If you say what you want to achieve? Because after the two-step process (submit) is the action specified in the success or the last attempt will run. You can replace the default action 'Continue' by a tip action.

  • Can we remove the button continue to Quiz results?

    Hello world

Is there a way to remove the continue button on the Quiz results page?

I have a captivate file in which there is a slide thank you at the end after than the Quiz results slide. Now, here's the problem - the user is just to finish the quiz and the closure of the browser tab - which does not appear inside the LMS completion status. The user must need to display the slide thank you - so that CMS can answer that the status of "completed."

Now I want to remove the button continue on quiz results slide so that doesnot users to go forward to the next slide to complete the course. And I'll put here the thank you message in single result of the quiz slide.

Can I remove the continue button on the Quiz results page so that it could be the last slide?

    Concerning

    Vikas Sharma

Remove the button continue results Quiz slide is NOT a good idea in my experience.  By clicking the button triggers features continue in Captivate to complete the quiz and post the score to the LMS.  If this button is not checked, Captivate maybe isn't sure that the person has decided that they are finished with the quiz and wants their score to be captured by the LMS at that time here.  There are often other buttons on the Quiz results slide to offer the user the possibility of recovery or to review the Quiz.  Only the continue button is designed to take them further beyond the Quiz results slide.

Like you, I also found learners often fail to grasp the importance of the button continue and do not realize that they must do something extra (beyond to reach the Quiz results slide) so that their score to capture.  So what I usually do is to rename the button continue for something more meaningful like: save your Score, or record Quiz results now.  Have a name like that (and make nice and big button and "BOLD" so that it is not easy to Miss) clearly says to people that they need to click if they want to keep their score.  It's just a simple change, but it has virtually eliminated all the questions we had with people just close their browser when they saw the results of the Quiz.

  • CP 8 quiz slides previous button does not

While it worked for a few months, back in the questionnaire slides button is now mobile users (January 2016) to the question instead of back to the previous question or a content slide. Any idea why this happens now and how fix?

I use an LMS (Blackboard), but what is happening within the project, after that it's completely downloaded from the server. I have the 'send data on each slide' verified due to problems with the LMS save scores, I need to be able to see where the data or the connection stopped sending. I have the number of retries set to 3 for most of the questions and the quiz of all. The next button is enabled on the quiz slides where the user goes back and has already presented the right answer on a slide of questionnaire and need to move again after this slide.

Checked the "allow backward movement" seems to work. Thus, checking the back button to show on the properties of quiz for each slide of the questionnaire is not automatically allow the user to come back? I have to do a two-step process - check a button on each quiz slide and the other in quiz preferences.

I can't understand why it worked before, though. Maybe I did something that I have cancelled by publishing this go-around.

    Thank you.
