Is it possible to add text to a PDF file?

Hello

I need to generate nice PDF contacts boards than I do in the bridge.

But once the hundreds of images are automatically generated in PDF format,

I need to add some text.

I could of course, put these images manually in Indesign and easily type text,

but would be just as saving time, if I could quickly create the full pdf of image

and then add text to the pdf...

Is it possible with acrobat for it?

Or y at - it a 3rd party software plugin which allows you to enter a paragraph of text in a pdf file?

Please notify

Thank you

You can use the typewriter tool, and then type your paragraph wherever you want, but it won't move the images from the road. It is the same for the tool text box. I think that you work for ID.

  • Is it possible to add text to the cells and apply the character style in the cell

    I work in InDesign on Mac 5.

    I have two tables of formatting with information that will be eventually combined. I implemented the scripts I found on these forums to add the columns needed, merge lines and fill the cells merged with the appropriate color, but can't two remaining tasks.

    1. is it possible to add text to a cell of some?

    2 and it is possible to apply a character style to cells? (different cells than those that I need to add some text)

    I played with this code but do not know if it is even close...

    {

    table. Rows [0]. Cells [0]. InsertText (' CS/PS");

    }

    {

    table. Rows [0]. Cells [0] .appliedCharacterStyle ("bold");

    }

    Here are the scripts that I have combined so far for the table...

    Add column

    myTable = app.selection [0];

    MyColumn = myTable.columns [1];

    for (a = 0; < 1; a ++)

    {

    myTable.columns.add (LocationOptions.AFTER, myColumn);

    }

    Merge lines

    table = app.selection [0];

    If (table.hasOwnProperty ("baseline") table) = table.parent;

    If (instanceof cell table) table = table.parent;

    If (instanceof column table) table = table.parent;

    If (instanceof row table) table = table.parent;

    If (instanceof Table table)

    {

    table. Rows [0]. Cells [0]. Merge (table.rows [0] .cells [1]);

    }

    {

    colours alternating in merged lines

    r = table.rows [1];

    n = app.activeDocument.swatches.item ("orange");

    b = app.activeDocument.swatches.item ("PANTONE 3005 C");

    for (c = 0; c < r.cells.length; c ++)

    {

    If (c & 1)

    r.Cells [c]. Properties = {fillColor:b};

    on the other

    r.Cells [c]. FillColor = n;

    }

    }

    Hello

    1. If you want to add the text, go further in:

    table. Rows [0]. Cells [0] .insertionPoints [0] .silence = ' CS/PS;

    2 similar with application of styles:

    table. Rows [0]. Cells [0] .texts [0] .appliedCharacterStyle = "bold" / / If this style is present in your doc

  • Layout in Arabic, Chinese and Russian. Export text from a PDF file

    I am exhibitor of long documents in Arabic, Chinese and Russian. The text was provided in PDF format when I copy and paste this in Indesign, it happens like question marks, boxes and other characters having nothing to do with the text I'm trying to layout.  I put the cast on the Arabic Myriad and Arabic dictionary still nothing that resembles Arabic or any other language. Same thing with the Chinese and Russian. Any suggestions on how to get the text from the PDF file where is the language. Appreciate help with this.  Thank you.

    Thanks for the caption, Ellis

    Thus, KK: you're in for a world of pain. The intials "WP" at the beginning of these policies means that the text is out of WordPerfect. Make presentations multilingual in WP, it was annoying, but possible. It was developed in the pre-Unicode world where every single method of complex script layout was a dirty hack. If you like dirty nerdy details, I can tell you how it worked, but that it is sufficient to say that attempt to harvest the non-latine-script text of: WP and it reuse for use in InDesign is just pure pain. WordPerfect-specific code pages were never really supported anywhere outside WP.

    That being said, I have a script around laying somewhere for the conversion of the WP-Cyrillic in Unicode. (In fact, I think it does Windows CP 1251, but that works as well.) But this is only one of the forty-five languages? And the Chinese has been pixelated? And PDF files were originally generated by Distiller 3? If you have no choice, it is time to leave. If you do not have the choice, I really hope that you charge hourly. My experience in this area (very large) is that it will cost three to five times more to extract the text as it would for a professional translation generate a new key of the text, and and then to have a second professional translation review text rekeyed looking for typos.

    Russian OCR is darn good these days, but Chinese OCR is random. I've never seen good Arabic OCR - doesn't mean it's not out there, but I couldn't help you find it.  But the chances that all 45 languages available reliable OCR, and the result of said OCRing will not have to be reviewed by someone who knows the language, are virtually nil.

  • I can compare text in two pdf files?

    If it is possible to compare the text of two pdf files, let know how to do it.

    I use Acrobat 8 Professional.

    Thank you very much!!

    If the two files are PDF text files (not images of text) and the two are not created by LiveCycle Designer, you can use it in the menu "Advanced => Compare Documents...". ».

    How do I activate the selection tool, so I can do this?

    If there is text to be copied (in other words, if the pdf file is not a scanned image of the text), by default, you should see a pointer that will change when you hover over the text to an ibeam.

    If you see a hand tool, click on the double arrow towards the top right of the display screen to get a drop-down list and select "disable the hand tool.

  • I'm trying to highlight objects and text in a pdf file converted from a cadd drawing but can't do either?

    I'm trying to highlight objects and text in a pdf file converted from a cadd drawing but can't do either?

    It may be that the PDF file is simply a graph. The highlight tool works on the text, not graphics. You may need to use the marker or another graphic tool.

  • Need to change the text in the pdf file created in Illustrator CS6

    I need someone else to be able to change the text in a pdf file I created from Illustrator. They have full acrobat should be able to change it. I tried myself to test before you send it, but it does not work. The original file has been created in Illustrator CS6 and saved in pdf format (text not created contours). I opened the file in acrobat and try it saved as file extended to be able to change the text but not luck. You will be able to highlight the existing text and replace it. I tried to change the text of the tool, but rather only a selection box around each line of text, it puts a selection box around the text. I can highlight the text and delete it, but I am unable to change it. Each individual text line should be editable. Is there something I need to do differently in Illustrator so it can work correctly in Acrobat?

    If she help him file is a calendar and they need be able to change the dates and events that are already there.

    This really isn't an appropriate use of Acrobat. You should all use the same editing tool (i.e. Illustrator).

    Extension of files reduced the amount of editing Acrobat can do, it does not increase it.

    The editing of text in Illustrator tool would be to edit the text Document. There is no guarantee that it will divide nicely in lines, it is trying to help by making the text of paragraph.

    In theory, you can use a form for this (fill in the blank for dates) but really, you should use the same tool. Not necessarily Illustrator, more Excel or specialist software calendar.

  • Is it possible to add text to the rectangles and eliipses onboard animate?

    I use edge animate 2015 and it is more than a drawback not being able to add text directly to a rectangle or ellipse without super establishing a text box on the top. Is there a way around it?

    You must select the step, and then you will get the compositionReady option as Joel shows above. Not you item itself.

  • looking to add text to a PDF of the client and print via automation in vb2015

    A client sends drawing files to us. We need to add textual information about the drawing pdf file in order to print the drawing and then process it through our facilities. Information we add from SQL, such as the purchase order date required, etc.. We treat drawings 2-300 an hour. Rather than to score each print by hand, I would use an SDK or another tool that you suggest to open the file, add the text and print the file using VB 2015 by Microsoft. What do you suggest me? What should I buy? I would like to see a sample first or hear from someone who has done this before buying.

    ".. Acrobat is absolutely not for the server... "

    That's right, but I read only the automation of a process is sought and JS and so OLE is built into Acrobat.

    @FMPeck

    There is a basically simple example how you can use the addField method.

    IAB-AMBEIEN http://StackOverflow.com/questions/29085466/Adding-page-numbers-to-PDF-through-VBA-and-ACR

    Example add fields to the date, name of file and page number footer, but can also be used for other text and can also be better formatted. I have written in VBS. So you can copy the code into Notepad, save it as test.vbs, and run it with a double click.

    If it works with your customer a PDF file, you can write on these PDF documents all you want.

  • Why is it not possible to highlite text inside each PDF?

    Hey guys,.

    Anyone know why I can't highlight text inside some PDF documents?

    I already know the following:

    If you scan a document and save to PDF, it is normally an ordinary photo and so you can not highlight anything. However, I can highlight text inside some scanned in PDF format. I guess that someone (who and how?) used some kind of OCR software. If this is the case, Adobe Reader recognizes the 'image' in the form of text and you can score easily. So far so good.

    The questions are: who must activate OCR analysis? Is Adobe Reader itself has a function for scanning to OCR? If I received a document that is not yet "Scanned OCR", is it possible for me to activate OCR, and then highlight the text later?

    Thanks in advance for your help (and forgive the mistakes of language)!

    Julian

    Adobe Reader cannot perform OCR. Adobe Acrobat has this feature.
