Is it possible to add text to the cells and apply the character style in the cell

I work in InDesign on Mac 5.

I have two tables of formatting with information that will be eventually combined. I implemented the scripts I found on these forums to add the columns needed, merge lines and fill the cells merged with the appropriate color, but can't two remaining tasks.

1. is it possible to add text to a cell of some?

2 and it is possible to apply a character style to cells? (different cells than those that I need to add some text)

I played with this code but do not know if it is even close...

{

table. Rows [0]. Cells [0]. InsertText (' CS/PS");

}

{

table. Rows [0]. Cells [0] .appliedCharacterStyle ("bold");

}

Here are the scripts that I have combined so far for the table...

Add column

myTable = app.selection [0];

MyColumn = myTable.columns [1];

for (a = 0; < 1; a ++)

{

myTable.columns.add (LocationOptions.AFTER, myColumn);

}

Merge lines

table = app.selection [0];

If (table.hasOwnProperty ("baseline") table) = table.parent;

If (instanceof cell table) table = table.parent;

If (instanceof column table) table = table.parent;

If (instanceof row table) table = table.parent;

If (instanceof Table table)

{

table. Rows [0]. Cells [0]. Merge (table.rows [0] .cells [1]);

}

{

colours alternating in merged lines

r = table.rows [1];

n = app.activeDocument.swatches.item ("orange");

b = app.activeDocument.swatches.item ("PANTONE 3005 C");

for (c = 0; c < r.cells.length; c ++)

{

If (c & 1)

r.Cells [c]. Properties = {fillColor:b};

on the other

r.Cells [c]. FillColor = n;

}

}

Hello

1. If you want to add the text, go further in:

table. Rows [0]. Cells [0] .insertionPoints [0] .silence = ' CS/PS;

2 similar with application of styles:

table. Rows [0]. Cells [0] .texts [0] .appliedCharacterStyle = "bold" / / If this style is present in your doc

    I use edge animate 2015 and it is more than a drawback not being able to add text directly to a rectangle or ellipse without super establishing a text box on the top. Is there a way around it?

    You must select the step, and then you will get the compositionReady option as Joel shows above. Not you item itself.

    Or is it possible to add it to a skin it will appear at the bottom of the screen?

    Hi Julie,.

    You can try the project--> TOC--> Info it will open a dialog box where you can enter information about your organization, as well as a logo.

    In addition, if you wish, you can change a TOC and their default legend items.

    To do this, close Captivate.

    Open Notepad-

    Paste below-

    [TOCStrings]

    SlideTitle = Module name

    Time = time

    Status = status

    MoreInfo = my info

    Clear = Wipe

    ClearToolTip = State of Wipe

    BookMarkToolTip = book-marking

    NoSearch = String not found

    CurrTime = what

    ---------------------------------------

    Save it as TOCStrings.ini

    and place this file in the location of the Adobe Captivate installation on your machine.

    Now launch and add a table of contents to the Porject and preview or publish and see the change.

    Thank you

  • Is it possible to add text to a PDF file?

    Hello

    I need to generate nice PDF contacts boards than I do in the bridge.

    But once the hundreds of images are automatically generated in PDF format,

    I need to add some text.

    I could of course, put these images manually in Indesign and easily type text,

    but would be just as saving time, if I could quickly create the full pdf of image

    and then add text to the pdf...

    Is it possible with acrobat for it?

    Or y at - it a 3rd party software plugin which allows you to enter a paragraph of text in a pdf file?

    Please notify

    Thank you

    You can use the typewriter tool, and then type your paragraph wherever you want, but it won't move the images from the road. It is the same for the tool text box. I think that you work for ID.

  • Add text to the full document

    The new editor of Adobe Reader DC (Tools/Fill & sign/Add Text) allows the visualization of single page annotated, unlike previous versions of the function to add text.

    This limits the scrolling through the other pages, for a reference to another page, for example, and then return to the page where the text will be added.

    Is it a question of setting that I missed?

    Is there a way to add text on one page and watch another, without leaving the editor and passing through several stages each time?

    If this is normal, it can be extended to behave similarly to the Publisher in earlier versions of Adobe Reader, to scroll through the pages in the text to add is enabled?

    This creates a real problem for me.

    Thank you.

    Try using textLoc instead of TextLoc for your variable. TextLoc with this spelling is a reserved word.

  • How to add text to the gif format

    Hello, I am a beginner in photoshop.

    I want to add text to my gif as part of the animation, but somehow the text transparent look, even though I already use black color for the text.

    Could someone give me tutorial how to add text to the gif and then do some sort of subtitle?

    Thank you...

    The text layer is 2 layers under the real background layer in your file. Check your layers panel. Click, drag and drop the text layer currently selected in your layers 2 screenshot above or the visible layers, especially to see if your text will appear - it should ideally.

    Settings - when save you for Web & devices, you can customize options preset for GIF on the top right of your dialog "save for Web & devices".

  • PSE7 Newbie - want to add text at the bottom of the photo.

    I know that it's really a fundamental question, but all I want to do initially is add text at the bottom of a photo and I want to use layers.

    1. I don't even know if it's the right sequence, but first of all, I get the picture (from file-> open in the editor).

    2. then, I create a text layer, but the layer is created the same size as the photo.

    I don't want the text on the photo, I want the text somewhere under the photo.  I discovered that I can move the Photo up and put the text below, but I lose the top 1/2 inch or more of the picture.

    Lets say I have a picture that prints 4 x 6 as a photo.  This money which, according to me, that I need is an editor window with the photo at the top with an empty space, 1/2 inch or so, photography, a place that I can put a text.  I realize that when I print a photo 4 x 6, the photo itself is only 3 1/2 x 6, but I don't think that ius here everything what I can do about it.  The point is that I want / need the photo to print with no cropping (Group hphoto with heads next and above).  Am I even explain it properly.

    I got something of almost works using resize the canvas, but ran into problems when you try to change the color of the cloth - and I don't want to get into this problem now (unless I have to).  It seems to me that I should be able to do it with just a couple of layers, the layer of text photo and t - I just do not find haoe to resize the layers to accomplish what I want to do.

    So I explained it clearly enough.  I can do with just a couple of layers.  Is it as simple as I think it should be.

    Do you mean that you do not find guided edit, the player of the shares or is not for that action in the action player?

    The addition of canvas adds to the whole image.

    You don't want to resize, just to enlarge the canvas itself. Set your background color to what you want the new canvas, then go to Image > resize > canvas size. Click on the top square of the Center to the point of reference and change only the length, the width of no, the canvas.

  • Unable to add text to the region

    I created a master and added a text box to this basic form. But when I add a new page to this master I can't add text to the region. Instead, there is a dotted line around the text box.

    I haven't used the ID for centuries, and I don't know that it is a simple adjustment to make this editable region.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    The dotted line indicates the text frame on the master page, rather than on your page "ordinary".

    You can override the master page agenda by selecting 'Replace all master page items' in the menu of the Pages panel, or simply ctrl + shift + click on the text block.

    Advantages and disadvantages on the definition of blocks of text on master pages, you should look into this before using this method.

However the subject line of the message does not show the text, I added.

    What Miss me?  Any help would be appreciated.

    Code of the MenuItem class example

    public Object execute (object context) {}
    context object must be an electronic mail message

    If (instanceof Message context) {}
    Message message = context (Message);
    message.setSubject ("Test Message" + message.getSubject ());
    Dialog.Alert (message.getSubject ());
    context.setSubject ("Test Message" + message.getSubject ());
    }
    return the context;

    Once you have completed your changes, call the Message.updateUi method to update the display with the modified message.
