  It's a question of how the recipients e-mail programs deal with attachments. Many e-mail programs will open all the files they can handle, including files jpg and PDF, by default, and if the recipient has not changed that there is nothing you can do about it. The only solution is to the compress first, then it will be delivered as an attachment, allowing the recipient to decompress and open it.

  Basically the creation of PDF to WORD process requires WORD must be installed and PDF Maker is active. Without this option, you need to open WORD and print it on the Adobe PDF printer. Open Office is the way to create the PDF as suggested. You can even use convert to PDF in Open Office (or MS WORD with the later converter for OFFICE 2007 and versions).

  I working on a card game using data with a .csv file merge and spin in unusual behavior when you create a merged document when my master document had layers.  Imagine I had a layer of structure that looks like this:

  When I create my merged document that each individual card includes this editable structure:

  And the order in which the elements are drawn resembles what happened past:

  I would * really * like solving this problem without going through a column of data fusion with just the same picture in each area or something stupid like that, especially because some of my other static elements are generic text boxes.   It looks like a problem with the image itself and not with the data merge. All data fusion makes links to the jpeg format. Check your image to see if there is an asset of clipping, or some other problem with the image file.

  Each certificate will have 3 text boxes, Im using the fusion of data to fill in these fields.

  My question has 2 parts:

  Part 2 of my question is-- This script can I use to make use of one of the fields that will be (name) and allows to name the file when it is exported?

  There is a script in InDesign that might do the trick for you.

  Open the actions panel in InDesign, and then pick the folder samples > AppleScript.

  Double-click on ImageCatalog.applescript, choose the folder and play settings (1 row, 1 column, uncheck the box "labels", etc.) as needed.

  I know that it is possible to create copies more or less unlimited normal printers under Windows (XP SP2) which each have their own settings. Very useful for standard jobs that require special configurations.

  We want to use the same technique for the creation of PDF. Now, I'm wondering how to create a second Adobe PDF printer?

  I try to create a new printer on the printer port "my Documents\ * .pdf" which is used by the existing printer, but I wonder what driver to use. Unfortunately there is no Adobe entry in the list and I can not find manually, either.

  We are still on Acrobat 8 (Professional)

  The easiest way is to add a generic printer driver. Then enter the properties, change the name and set up the port and in the printer driver. Then edit the remaining properties. You may need to leave after selecting Properties and then open back for these properties took effect. If you are looking for using the PDF Maker printer you should change the name to Adobe PDF, and you can have one of these. For use as a printer, then the other name will work fine.

  It's been a while since I've done this type of addition, but it worked when I did it.
