  I wrote an installation of Acrobat Standard XI. To do this, I used the Customization Wizard (CustWiz11003_en_US) and created a transformation. The installation is performed by the script:

  Today, I found that I have a problem on at least two PC. When you open the Acrobat splash screen will appear for 2 seconds and then disappear. In the Task Manager, I can see close and opens again every 2 / 3 sec. Looks like the PC I have trouble with are the PC where I have uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat.

  I tried many things to sort out what's going on:

  1: uninstall / reinstall

  2: 'AdbeArCleaner_v2.exe' to remove full Acrobat

  I solved the problem on one of my PC by uninstalling the program, install the program manually (without the script / .mst file). When I started Acrobat after installation, it asked me to register my product and I did. After that it worked very well. But probably the problem are on all PC if / when I uninstall / reinstall the program.

  In the Customization Wizard, I disabled a lot of "features online.

  1: updates

  2: registration

  3: product improvement program

  4: points of entry and workflow of all Adobe online services database

  I'm a little worried that I did something wrong in my setup that will give me a problem in the future. As I now have a problem if I reinstall Acrobat, it can be a potential problem in the future.   Is there a workaround here? A registry hack that I can do to ignore the record (or an update of the register that I can do to let Acrobat thinks it was registered) - I can easily deploy updates the registry as part of my script.

  DC Standard Acrobat license won't work for Acrobat Standard XI. Both are two different versions.

  It is even possible to downgrade to Acrobat Standard XI since Acrobat Standard DC, because Adobe provided no more Acrobat XI.

  Trying to follow the exact same steps to update Acrobat Standard DC I used with Acrobat X Standard and not having not success. Hope someone could weigh, tell me what I'm doing wrong.

  I downloaded the installer of"base" (Acrobat_2015_Web_WWMUI.exe) on the Adobe licensing website. I extract it and end up with a lot of different files, including the file AcroPro.msi, which is version 15.006.30033 according to the Orca and the Adobe Customization Wizard.

  So, I downloaded the latest quarterly patch (Track Classic - Acrobat2015Upd1500630094.msp) from the Adobe Downloads site.

  From a command prompt, I ran the following:

  msiexec /a d:\adobe\acropro.msi/Update Acrobat2015Upd1500630094.msp

  After a minute or two, complete the update. I check the version of the file AcroPro.msi and he now reports 15.006.30094.

  I deploy using Group Policy, but this is where the installation fails.   I remember some time seen this problem (lack of in the Data1.cab files) and it is the result of my tent to apply quarterly patch to a MSI already patched, rather than applying the quarterly patch to the base msi. But as far as I know, is happening here - I apply the patch at the base MSI.

  Looks like you need to create the agreement in principle to Installer base first, then deploy. I recommend the following steps to create a patched AIP:

  Download the installer of LWS exe and extract it in a folder on the computer.

  1. create an agreement in principle for the basic version of Acrobat by using the following commands (Basic version):

  msiexec /a TARGETDIR =

  2. apply the Patch (MSP) using below command (you'll get the msp in the extracted folder of ):

  msiexec /a /p

  You will get a patched AIP.

  3. install the AIP created using the following command:

  msiexec /i

  Acrobat and Reader are 2 separate software can coexist on the same computer.

  Reader is a free software while Acrobat is paid.

  You can not switch to the player. You must have an existing version of Acrobat to be able to purchase an upgrade.

  Acrobat 9 and later versions can benefit from upgrading to acrobat 11.
