Is it possible to have a fluid grid Muse presentation?

I recently created a fictitious Web site for a mid-term that I needed to do, and the instructor wants a sensitive site. Is it possible to do what only in Muse? Because I rather not head back to Dreamweaver and do all this again just to start from scratch. @

Hello, I am new in muse and try to create a fluid grid presentation.

I want to achieve is the images rearrange dependent selves on their size. I've seen this in a few other places, like this is the case here...

ZAVEN - Zaven is a design, research, and communications studio based in Venice, Italy.

As you will see, depends on the size of the browser window, the images rearrange to fit.

It is a website created in wordpress. And if I can recreate this kind of tile / grid Muse would be great.

I've also attached a few images, showing the effect I want to achieve, these images are from my email client, I like the way the window rearranges literally just the images to fit.

If anyone out there knows how to achieve that would be great...

    Kind regards

In Muse can make a checkerboard to fluid. You can manually set the breakpoints and manually change the location of the content in each breakpoint.

  • Dreamweaver. Is it possible to have AP div tags in a fluid Grid Layout Div?

I am putting together a site with a very basic page layout; some titles at the top, each placed in an AP Div, with images below.  But I would use the fluid Grid Layout Div so that the positioning of the change of flags AP div on mobile devices.

I can't figure out how to do so that the AP div inside my fluid Grid Layout Divs tags

    Thank you

    1. forget the AP Div they are of very little use and can only be deployed in a sensitive site with care (and knowledge).

2 forget the fluid grid layouts, they are not sufficiently stable.

  • Is it possible to create a model using fluid grids?

I'm working on a new site and now starting to really try and arrange everything correctly, so what I want to do is to create a master page to work from universal.  I understand that this is not a master page as such, I read that you need to create a template and a link to that, but I don't see how to do this with a checkerboard in fluid.

Is it possible to use fluid grids, keeping a 'template' link to and do NOT have to redo all the work I've done so far?

Thanks for any help in advance =]

Read F1 help on DW models to gain an understanding on how they work.

    1. Make your prototype of FluidGrid page.  Check in all browsers, and when you are satisfied of how it looks and reads the file save as Template.dwt.
    2. Add editable regions for things that will change the page.  Save and close the template.
    3. Go to file > new model page.  Press the button create.
    4. This new file is a page of the child.  SaveAs index.html (your home page) or a different file name.
    5. Repeat steps 3 & 4 for your other pages of the site.
    6. Re-open the model and add links to your navigation menus.
    7. Save the model and fill changes to the child pages.
    8. Child pages look in browsers before uploading to your remote server.
    9. Repeat steps 7 & 8 whenever you make changes to your file main template.dwt.

  • Is it possible to use images cut into slices with fluid grids CS6?

I have 2 images cut into slices that I use in my page. The site was designed with fluid grids CS6. As soon as the page is rendered more small 1 images contracts while the other remains the same size. Is it possible to make this work or is it just not possible using fluid grids?

It will never work right in fluid networks.  Decide which is more important to you - your concept of design or a sensitive provision.  Unfortunately, responsive web design requires compromises that some designers are not willing to do.  It is certainly not for everyone.

  • Is it possible to display the design view in the fluid grid pages?

After the upgrade to the latest version of DW CC 2014, I noticed that design mode is disabled in the fluid grid pages. You can only use the Live View mode to change these pages. Design/Live button on pages not fluid.

I wonder if there is a work around to allow the Design mode of publishing on the pages of fluid. It is a major concern to try to change some things in Live View mode. It would be nice to have a choice.

    @Ron

Ron, thanks for your idea.  I just tried this in my fluid grid css file, and it worked!  The strange thing (at least in my mind) is that the code (below) is commented.  So, even though my web pages ignore this commented code, Dreamweaver is not... use it to control how the Dreamweaver program works. Well, I think that this can happen.  This code behaves as a "directive" in the Dreamweaver program.

A notable change is that I no longer see the grey bands indicating the fluid grid columns in Live view mode, but I can live with that.

It's my way of novice look at the situation.  But now I'm happy.

Here are my exact code (which I deleted) of my css file.  Maybe others can try it and see if that fixes the problem.

  • Size of menu bar Spry set correctly for mobile layout when using fluid grid

I use the horizontal spry menu bar and the checkerboard to fluid. Works fine until it is used in mobile size. The size of the navigation bar set correctly, but the text is too large for each area of the spry menu bar. Is it possible to have the text to set for the mobile structure only? Is there a way for the spry menu bar to stack vertically?

Spry is neither sensitive nor touch the screen of the environment.  It has been discontinued & removed DW in 2013.

Inherited liquid grid layouts will be soon abandoned as well (see press release public Beta).

  • DW CS6 - best fluid grid multilevel MENUS for scaling mobile (big site)?

Hi I currently have a non-mobile-friendly site that contains 450 + pages (www.midlifebachelor.com), and my search rankings go wrong to cause not to be mobile-friendly.   I use Dreamweaver CS6 on the Windows 8.1 as a development platform and would like to stay with her.  [I have also a site different, much smaller that I recently successfully migrated to a fluid grid layout, and it works very well... and that was my experience very first/only with grid encoding, using DW CS6 fluid.]

So I need migrating my site page 450 + big a checkered to fluid and I have several problems to solve - the first / most obvious are to know how to deal with some of the complex menus. Today as top-level menus, I have reversals of the image at the top of every page of my site, for a customized mobile version running desktops, tablets and mobile devices - I tried (on different threads here) and one that seems to meet my needs the most is the 'Vertical Drop Down Mode"projectseven:

    http://www.Projectseven.com/products/templates/pagepacks/DMM/affinity/menu-modes/index.htm

Some menus multi-level migration is important to me because many of my existing main/top level (currently image hover) menu selections now go to pages that contain Spry tabs - which go far.   So the migration of pages with these Spry tabs in new multi-level menus (using checkerboard to fluid, etc.); those without something complex on the landing page would be one level of menu in the upper part.   Goal is to have a system menu unique uniform at the top of each page of the site page 450 +.

As my site is so great, I clearly don't want to modify the code any time soon the whole site (once I do it immediately, using the menu system above or?).   I want to test my design as much as possible.

MY QUESTION to THE GURUS - do you think that the "Drop Down Mode Vertical" Projectseven is a very good choice for me to migrate to (for the multi-level menus, using a fluid grid - for scaling of the bureau, to table for mobile)?   Are there other choices that I have to look?  [If there is something different that I should, can you please give me a link that shows examples for this?]

Thank you very much for your time!

    (2) another section of the site is more like a book - so not as a collection of independent articles (as with the link you quoted above), but more like 100 pages of content that is usually read in order.  The player has the opportunity to watch an 'index' on the right side of the page that contains links that allow the reader to move from things that are of interest.  Example:

It's exactly the same principle. Think of each page of the book stored in a column of data.

You have 1 book page on the site with the index of linked pages / registered associated will be filled with data. According to link (page) is chosen by the user that it is then retrieved from the database in the database identification number that is attached to the link of the page-based.

This all sounds quite complicated I don't know if you have little experience of database. But if you take the time to research - master-detail in Dreamweaver pages it might help you better understand the principle and how your needs would adapt.

I don't know how effective the information below are to the current version of DW, but it explains the procedure:

So the above is the other half of the site that I need an approach to understand.  The mobile aspect where it migrates to probably means that I lose the index on the right that allows the reader to spend.  If anyone has any ideas or suggestions on how to manage this migration to something easy to mobile, then I'm all ears.

You might just have a single link "Choose a Page" at the top in mobile, BUT it's a heck of a lot of links to scroll down, or you can break it down into manageable chapters.

  • Second Page of fluid grid

I use Dreamweaver CS6 and can't seem to understand how to create a second fluid grid page without creating a new boilerplate.css and respond.min.js files.  I wanted to use my existing files created when I did my first page of fluid grid.  Now, I want a page that doesn't have the sidebar as the first page so I can have two templates for use in creating the other pages of the site.  Is it possible or do I have these two files created for each fluid grid page I create?  If so, it seems that much extra to call for a Web site files.

Update: Using winmerge, I see that the files are identical, so I can delete the new created when you create a new page in fluid grid.  Seems a little redundant to me, so there must be another way to add a new page that I'm missing.  It seems also that I can't create a model using webdesign reactive as the changes of type doc of html5 for XHMTL transitional 1 (grayed out) when I create a new file from a template created from a fluid grid page.  Is this true or am I missing something?

Thanks again, Nancy, I had to delete the cache and then rename the folder of personal configuration to make it work.  Very much appreciated.

  • Layouts fluid grid

    Hello

Love the fluid grid system, but I have a question about this:

Is it in anyway possible to create different dimensions with it?

I want my headers to have different sizes, as office 275px height by width of 1232px and adjust the height for Tablet and mobile. Been trying to pull this off, but I really do not do the job.

Seen a few tuts, but could not find an answer to it. Only the approach that worked, I saw created an Adaptive page from scratch.

Is this possible? If so, how do I work?

    Thanks for any response.

The fixed. My bad. No0b@work here.

Should be easy to go now. Thanks for the tips. Appreciated.

  • Several CSS files accessed by Media Queries vs. Dreamweaver fluid grid approach

Is it better to insert the media in the head of a HTML file that refers to one of several CSS files depending on whether the device moble, plate, or office or is it possible to use the approach of fluid grid of Dreamweaver layout that evokes a single large CSS file with all the instructions for the three formats. I understand that it is the only choice you have if you use the grid to fluid. I just worry that this could slow down a mobile connection to load three sets of instructions CSS when only one is necessary.

Of course, you can insert a movie into a presentation grid of fluid.  You have either divisions nested. See the example below with the YouTube video.   View source to see the code.

  • CS6 fluid grid 960px wide

I'm just getting started with the fluid grid in CS6 but need a bit of help. I've set up with 12 columns and the width of the default desktop is 1232px according to the box options. I won't be wide at 100% of the grid. In fact, I want that it not exceeding the 960px width max. This is equivalent to approximately 78% (77.9) of 1232px. However, if I choose 78% like my width and fall in a DIV to span the whole 12 columns, it is much larger than the width 960px. What am I doing wrong and what I need to do in order to have a possible start as close to 960px width.

    Any help is appreciated.

You can change the CSS code manually and change % to px widths.
